Cajun Shrimp and Chicken Pasta

In my opinion, nothing goes better with the drinks at TGI Fridays than some carbs and chicken. The Cajun Shrimp and Chicken Pasta is a great way to enjoy your “Friday” night, no matter what day of the week it is. This dish has the perfect amount of spice and flavor to make it memorable and delicious. Think of this dish as fettuccine alfredo with a touch of cajun spice. A load of fettuccine, sauteed chicken, shrimp, and red bell peppers are all covered in a spicy Cajun alfredo sauce. Add some parmesan romano cheese and a warm garlic breadstick and you’ve got one of my favorite comfort meals of all time (that pairs very well with the Double Berry Mojito).
Philly Cheesesteak Burger

One of TGI Fridays’ most interesting appetizers is the Philly cheesesteak egg roll platter. It’s weirdly delicious, even though you would never imagine Philly cheesesteaks and egg rolls together. If you love Philly cheesesteaks but aren’t brave enough to order the app, don’t worry. You can get the burger and try an egg roll for free! The Philly Cheesesteak Burger comes with everything you could want on a classic cheesesteak – roast beef, onions, bell peppers, and melted cheese. On top of that sits – you guessed it – a Philly cheesesteak egg roll. It’s the best of both worlds, and deserving of its place on this list.
BBQ Ribs

Fancy something a little bigger than a burger? Or, maybe you want to try multiple things and can’t decide? Don’t worry, TGI Fridays has delicious ribs that can be added to any entree for a small upcharge. Their apple butter BBQ ribs are just as good as they sound – they fall right off the bone and are a delicious, if messy, meal. The BBQ sauce at TGI Fridays has an apple butter base and is sweet and tangy. You can get a half-rack or full rack. Alternatively, most entrees offer a half rack of the ribs as a side instead of salad, soup, or any other side. I recommend this option, but only if you’re very hungry!
Bucket Of Bones

Instead of ordering wings and ribs separately, you can get them together with the Bucket of Bones (appropriately named, because once you’re done, bones are all that’s left). You can choose your rib glaze and wing sauce, as well as any dipping sauces you might want. The Bucket of Bones also comes with seasoned fries. For a side, you can upgrade to a half rack of ribs or grilled or fried shrimp. I recommend the fries, personally. But if you want fried shrimp, you can make it a real surf and turf meal – Friday night edition. Of course, the best drink for this meal is an ice-cold beer.
Chicken Parmesan Pasta

I love pasta. If I haven’t made that clear, I will almost always choose a pasta dish when I go out to eat. I also love cheese and chicken, so Chicken Parmesan pasta is exactly what I want to order on any given weeknight. TGI Fridays’ chicken parmesan doesn’t disappoint–it even comes with little parmesan crisps on top! The traditionally breaded chicken parmesan sits on top of fettuccine Alfredo. It is topped with more parmesan cheese (I always need more cheese) and marinara sauce and comes with a warm garlic breadstick. Pair it with the wine of your choice and you’ll feel like you’re having a fancy Italian dinner at a casual sit-down restaurant!
Loaded Fries

What’s better than french fries? Loaded french fries, of course! On some menus, these are just called “loaded fries.” However, with TGI Friday’s new around-the-world sampler, the loaded fries are now called “Amazing Blazing Pound of Cheese Fries” – a better name, if you ask me. The pound (yes, a full pound) of cheese fries comes with poblano queso, bacon, green onions, pickled jalapenos, and a blend of cheeses. It has a side of BBQ ranch to complete the flavor slurry. I love these fries, but here’s a disclaimer: Don’t eat them alone! You definitely will be too full for dinner.
Loaded Potato Skins With Ranch Sour Cream

A classic appetizer, these loaded potato skins with ranch sour cream are as good as they sound, and a TGI Fridays staple. They start with potato skins, load them with a mashed potato filling, cheddar, bacon, green onion, and ranch sour cream. This dish is a favorite for a reason–the loaded potato skins are crispy, salty, cheesy, and wonderful. If you love potatoes, cheese, and bacon (and who doesn’t?), the loaded potato skins are a great way to start your night at TGI Fridays. Add some drinks and an order of mozzarella sticks and you’ve got the perfect starter course for a great night out.
Signature Whiskey-Glazed Chicken Strips

Another one of the most delicious appetizers at TGI Fridays is the Whiskey-Glazed Chicken Strips. They are panko-encrusted, glazed in Fridays’ Signature Whiskey sauce, and sprinkled with sesame seeds. The tanginess of the whiskey and the crunch of the panko add a distinct flair to your “average” chicken strips, taking these to the next level. These strips are part of the Whiskey-Glazed Sampler, but I don’t care about the ribs or shrimp when the chicken strips are in sight. They have a delightful candied feel that outshines the other items on the sampler. I could eat these chicken strips all day. They are so much more than just a traditional appetizer.
Sizzling Chicken

As one of the few gluten-sensitive items on the menu, the sizzling chicken and shrimp dish doesn’t lack any flavor. It is just as delicious as some of the breadier options – and much healthier. The garlic marinated chicken and shrimp are served on a bed of mashed potatoes and topped with bell peppers, onions, and melted cheese. There’s a little marinara sauce to complete the taste trifecta of salty, tangy, and savory. It’s a delicious entree, and great for your gluten-sensitive friends!
Traditional Wings

What’s Friday night without wings, right? But, no matter what night you are going to TGI Fridays, you can still pretend you’re kickstarting the weekend! The traditional wings range from mild apple butter BBQ sauce to a very spicy ghost pepper sauce, and come in three sizes – 8, 12, or 16 pieces. Every order of wings comes with a side of blue cheese or ranch, so you can mix and match if you get different flavors! Get these wings as part of your Bucket of Bones, an appetizer to share, or your full meal–you won’t regret it. Fun fact – you can also buy several of the Fridays’ sauces online if you love the flavors!
Bacon Cheeseburger

What’s more “classic bar food” than a bacon cheeseburger? Nothing goes better with a cold beer than a bacon cheeseburger and fries, and TGI Fridays does a great job when it comes to offering both. The bacon cheeseburger doesn’t come with any surprises–it’s a burger patty grilled to perfection, with bacon, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, and pickles. The two upgrades to your average bacon cheeseburger are the homemade cheese spread and the Friday’s sauce–both of which make the burger better than anything you could get from a fast-food joint.
Boneless Wings

Some people say that boneless wings are for people who can’t handle bones, and you know what? I accept that. I love boneless wings, just like I love chicken tenders. But, these boneless wings are so much more than the chicken tenders your kids might order! Fridays has so many “grown-up” flavors, the hardest part of your meal will be deciding which sauce to go with. The boneless wings are breaded and fried. Order a round of each for the table and see which of your friends are secretly boneless wings lovers!
Caesar Salad with Grilled Chicken

Looking for something a little healthier than most of the items on this list? Fair enough – TGI Fridays is a lot of things, but it’s not always healthy. The Caesar salad with Grilled chicken, however, offers a respite to fried food and salty, carb-heavy entrees. Like any Caesar salad, it comes with romaine lettuce, dressing, croutons, and parmesan crisps. In this salad, you can substitute the grilled chicken for grilled salmon, Impossible meat, or sirloin steak. Any of these substitutions will make the salad a full meal, but you can also have it as a side instead of french fries.
Crispy Chicken Tenders

Chicken tenders are a classic. Who doesn’t want to order something that reminds them a little of the carefree days of childhood, when everything was easier and your hardest decision was between the chicken tenders and the cheeseburger? These chicken tenders are crispy and delicious and offer a hint of nostalgia that’s packed with flavor. Order them with french fries and a signature slushee and you’ll really feel like a kid again (I sure do). It’s a relatively small meal, but works well if you’re already getting an entree and maybe some dessert to top it all off.
Fried Shrimp

Fried shrimp is one of life’s great delights, and TGI Fridays’ shrimp is no exception. The fried shrimp comes as its own appetizer or it can be added as a side to any entree. I recommend doing this (unless you’re already getting something with fried shrimp on it) because it’s just so good. Fried shrimp might sound heavy and filling, but it somehow feels lighter than many of the other fried foods on the appetizer list. When I get fried shrimp as an app, I feel like I can eat more of my main dish and maybe even have room for dessert (or, let’s be real, more fried shrimp).
Signature Whiskey Glazed Burger

TGI Fridays created their Signature Whiskey Glaze and proceeded to put it on everything. I don’t blame them though–like everything Whiskey Glazed, the burger is delicious. It has hickory-smoked bacon, cheddar, lettuce, onions, pickles, and tomato, but the highlight is the glazed burger itself. There’s something about the whiskey glaze that keeps everyone coming back for more, whether it’s on a burger, chicken tenders, or ribs. Even though you can buy it in retail stores or online, it just doesn’t seem the same as when you get it at an actual TGI Fridays. Like all burgers, you can order this one on lettuce to make it gluten-sensitive.
Bacon Ranch Chicken Sandwich

There are a lot of unique and exciting items on the TGI Fridays menu, but sometimes we go to a restaurant for comfort and familiarity. If you want a sandwich that is both tasty and familiar, the Bacon Ranch Chicken Sandwich is a good place to start. This sandwich is a classic–it has grilled chicken, bacon, ranch dressing, swiss cheese, avocado, lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, and red onions. It’s nothing too crazy or out of the ordinary, but it still manages to hit the spot as a perfect lunchtime option. Get it with fries and a strawberry lemonade to make a regular lunch break feel like a Friday.
Sounds great- now which arm and leg will it take to buy these culinary delights…..?
