My favorite part about my recent trip to Geneva was finding the unique restaurants. I love food and so does my husband, so we wanted to make our next adventure together about food.

Right off of the water of Jet d’Eau sits the Living Room Bar & Kitchen. This chic residential restaurant has both lake and mountain views—the best of both worlds!
It serves local dishes, including plant-based options with an emphasis on keeping things fresh and local to be as sustainable as possible.
My husband and I shared a two-course brunch basket. It included two hot beverages, one wine glass, or two fruit juices per person.
They had an extensive menu to choose from for your brunch meal. I picked from the Chef’s Favorites, getting the Beef Tagliata.
The Beef Tagliata was Swiss beef, arugula, pecorino cheese, and sundried tomatoes. It was delicious!

After a morning touring the Cathedrale Saint-Pierre Geneve in the heart of Geneva, I was ready for some lunch.
Nearby my husband found Restaurant Les Armures. I am glad he did! It’s a charming restaurant that made me feel like I had stepped back in time into the medieval period.
All of the names on the menu were in French, but thankfully the descriptions were in English! I tried a dish from their pasta menu.
It had fresh tagliatelle from Geneva that was served with summer vegetables, rocket salad, and basil. Though I have to say, if you’re only going to try raclette once, try it here. It was creamy, warm, and delicious!

After staying a couple of nights at the Hotel President in the center of Geneva, my husband and I kept passing a restaurant called Bayview.
We kept saying we wanted to try it, then on a lazy night in, we decided to give it a go. Bayview takes pride in serving dishes made with local ingredients and cuisine, so I was tempted to choose the signature menu.
However, I wanted to experiment, so I ended up picking things a la carte. I tried a dish with zucchini flower with a curry and Imperial caviar from Sologne, with a surprise of Montreux. You could tell the fish was fresh!
My husband tried the Swiss veal tomahawk served with green beans and roasted apricots, with an almond-scented jus.
We finished our meal with a rhubarb and strawberry gariguette and rhubarb hibiscus sorbet. The cooling dessert was the best way to end our night.

This historical restaurant is located in the heart of Geneva. It is one of the oldest restaurants in the city, dating back to 1933.
We started our meal with the Scottish Salmon Smoked in Geneva off of the appetizer menu. It was served with delicious horseradish cream that added a velvety texture and bit of kick the salmon needed.
After our big appetizer, my husband and I decided to share the main course. We had the Bone Prime Rib off of the Butcher’s Corner menu as it was specially designed for two.
It was the most tender, the best-tasting prime rib that has ever been in my mouth.

Right across from the picturesque Geneva Lake Deck sits the stately II Lago, built in 1834 in the neoclassical style.
You can get a taste of Italy while on your trip to Switzerland at one of Geneva’s finest Italian specialty restaurants.
Chef Sena puts a seasonal twist on all of their dishes, keeping the experience eco-friendly and fresh.
This Tasting Menu included Roasted Scampi, traditional Vitello tonnato, wild sea bass carpaccio, bone-in roasted turbot, swiss lamb chops, pasta and patate, and LL Lago revisited tiramisu to finish the meal.
There are no words to describe how tender the meat was, how flaky the fish, nor how perfectly creamy the tiramisu was.

My husband and I attended church at Eglise Anglaise Holy Trinity Church one Sunday afternoon, and after the service, we were ready for some lunch.
After eating decadent European food for most of our trip, I was ready to switch things up a bit and have something lighter but no less tasty.
We found the best Japanese restaurant just blocks from the Holy Trinity Church. I had the IZUMI style beef with sauteed potatoes for my main course, with miso soup on the side.
The savory, umami Japanese flavors were unmistakable. My husband tried the baby chicken Tatsuta age with a vegetable assortment topped with teriyaki sauce, with a green salad on the side.
Of course, we had to share the chef’s selection of nigiri and sushi, which was mouth-wateringly fresh.

l’Adresse occupies former artists’ workshops but resembles an old cabaret, making this contemporary bistro a unique setting.
We got away from the hustle and bustle of the city beneath us on our visit to l’Adresse. I was even able to do some shopping at the boutique located in the same space as the bistro!
When we were there, my husband and I both got the beef meatballs with sweet and sour onions, pearl barley, herbs, and lemon verbena oil.
It was one of the best meals I had on our entire trip! We ended the meal with a delightful yuzu cheesecake that I’ll be dreaming about for months to come.

Located at the front of the Petit-Saconnex’s Church, Cafe du Soleil has a religious feel. This restaurant was constructed before the church, being older than 400 years old!
We try to get different dishes when we go out to eat so we get to try more things, but my husband and I both got the Prime cut of beef in green pepper sauce served with country potatoes and salad.
This hearty meal filled us to the brim, giving us leftovers for lunch the next day! Of course, we couldn’t leave without trying dessert!
We split the Catalane creme brule and the panna cotta, with an Irish coffee each.

After dinner at a nearby restaurant, we enjoyed our dessert on the splendid terrace at Chat-Botte.
I had ice cream (which was crunchy raspberry) while my husband had an in-season apple tart made by the pastry chef!
Though we both swore we were full to the brim, we went ahead and ordered the three cheese seasonal plate. Paired with a glass of wine, there was no better way to end the evening!

This beautiful Villa is owned by Philippe Chevrier, just off the Chem. de Chateauvieux, near the Rte de Peney-Dessus.
Since he was just a boy, Philippe had always dreamed of being a chef. He has greatly achieved this goal by creating one of my husband’s favorite meals from the trip!
He had the filet mignon served with a salad dressed in a vinaigrette. He wants to go back to Switzerland just for this meal, though with every season, the chef changes the menu to keep the offerings in-season.

Nordic flavors come together beautifully at Fiskebar thanks to Chef Francesca Fucci. The restaurant itself has gorgeous views of Lake Geneva, so we made sure we came for an early dinner to watch the light dance on the water.
We came for some drinks and light food to enjoy before taking an evening stroll on the lake. We had the lobster rolls and french toast off of the Scandinavian Bites menu.
They were perfect for an afternoon paired with craft cocktails!
