9 Best First Watch Menu Items to Order

Some mornings, you just might not feel like putting together breakfast. Cereal simply won’t cut it because you’re in the mood for something bigger. Luckily, the First Watch menu has plenty of delicious options to up your breakfast.

First Watch is an American Restaurant

That’s why I was so excited to come across First Watch. Their menu is full of classic breakfast dishes, including Eggs Benedict and French Toast, along with things I’ve been dying to try, like their Power Breakfast Quinoa Bowl.

But as with any good restaurant, I already have my favorites.

I’ve assembled nine of my favorite dishes from First Watch’s menu in this article. I think these choices really stand out, and they showcase some of the restaurant’s best assets.

Farm Stand Breakfast Tacos

As any true taco-lover will tell you, those tortilla-wrapped treats are an excellent option for any meal. They’re tasty, easy to wrap up and eat one-handed, and you can have them filled with anything you want. The Farm Stand Breakfast Tacos at First Watch certainly didn’t disappoint.

You get three soft-shell tacos stuffed full of eggs, cajun-spiced chicken, spicy chorizo, and cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses. They’re finished off with a heaping scoop of pico de gallo and a few slices of fresh avocado.

If three tacos aren’t enough for you, then you’ll be thrilled to know they come with a side of seasoned black beans, too.

Or, you know, you could always order seconds.

Elevated Egg Sandwich

First Watch’s Elevated Egg Sandwich is seriously one of the best things on their menu. I love my eggs over-easy almost as much as I love breakfast sandwiches, so this one is a real winner for me.

The drippy egg is topped with Gruyere, smashed avocado, and lemony arugula, all on a brioche bun.

You get a nice, heaping side of seasoned potatoes with it, too, so it’s guaranteed to check all your breakfast sandwich boxes.

Avocado Toast

If you want a quick bite that’s high-protein and really hits the spot, you should give First Watch’s Avocado Toast a try. It’s a great light breakfast, mid-morning snack, or afternoon pick-me-up.

The best part is that you can eat the whole dish without worrying about that heavy, too-full feeling breakfast can leave now and then.

Served up on thick artisan toast, the freshly smashed avocado is topped with extra virgin olive oil and sea salt and is served with two basted eggs on the side.

Eggs Benedict

There’s really nothing quite like a well-made hollandaise, is there? I’ve had a bit of a weakness for a nice serving of Eggs Benedict ever since I learned how to make them, so I’m always excited to try the different versions out there.

So, if you like your eggs poached and your hollandaise perfectly fresh and balanced, First Watch serves it up just right with their Classic Eggs Benedict.

You’ll get two poached eggs topped with smoked ham and freshly sliced tomato, all topped with creamy hollandaise and piled onto a ciabatta bun.

AM Superfood Bowl

The AM Superfood Bowl offers everything you could ask for in a breakfast bowl. First Watch starts with a bed of coconut milk chia seed pudding, which is fabulous just on its own. I could eat an entire bowl of it by itself.

The pudding is topped with fresh fruit, berry compote, homemade granola, and almonds. This makes for a super healthy breakfast option!

It also comes with a side of artisan toast smothered with almond butter, which I love because I’m a big fan of mixing foods. I like to top the toast with a few of the bowl’s berries to give it a twist on flavors.

The Market Hash

One way I like to get my daily dose of veggies is by mixing them with some of my favorite things. That’s why I absolutely love the Market Hash at First Watch.

You get two cage-free eggs cooked any style on top of spiced potatoes, roasted crimini mushrooms, zucchini, shallots, peppers, and spinach.

Personally, I like my eggs dippy for this dish because the yolk helps hold it all together.

Of course, you can’t forget the most important ingredient—the cheese. The Market Hash gets finished off with melted mozzarella and herbed goat cheese. If you like to pile your food on toast, you’re in luck because the Market Hash comes with a side of whole-grain artisan toast.

Lemon Ricotta Pancakes

Do you know what I love about pancakes? That they go with absolutely anything. You can top them with syrup, bacon, or eggs, and they’d still be delish.

First Watch takes the cake with their Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, though. Fluffy ricotta pancakes topped with lemon curd, powdered sugar, and fresh strawberries make for a great breakfast or brunch dish.

They’re perfectly filling, and the sweetness of the strawberries perfectly balances the tartness of the lemon curd.

I liked adding a little syrup on top just to get the full pancake experience. It was truly delicious, although with all the flavor going with the pancakes themselves, you really don’t need to add a thing.

Chickichanga

If you like breakfast tacos, then you’ll absolutely adore this breakfast chimichanga. Or, should I say, Chickichanga. It’s not fried up crispy like the traditional chimis, but its yummy filling more than makes up for the lack of crunch.

The First Watch chefs take a warm flour tortilla and stuff it to the brim with chicken, chorizo, green chilies, a blend of Mexican cheeses, onions, and fresh avocado. Then, they top it off with Vera Cruz sauce and sour cream.

To round out the meal, you’ll get a side of fresh fruit, along with seasoned potatoes.

Floridian French Toast

I’ve been to Florida many times, and I’ll tell you—I’ve never had French toast quite like this. It’s warm, sweet, and loaded up with some of the freshest fruit you can find.

First Watch’s Floridian French Toast is made with soft brioche bread and wheat germ. It’s fried up to perfection, topped with powdered sugar and cinnamon, then smothered with sliced banana, kiwi, and fresh berries that are always in season.

This was, without question, the best French toast I’ve ever tasted. Although, anything made with brioche bread is sure to be a winner in my book.

Nothing beats a great place to stop for a full breakfast. Hopefully, I’ve given you a good idea of what kinds of items you’ll find on First Watch’s menu. I think the selection I listed here paints a solid picture of their other offerings.

I’ve always had a massive weakness for breakfast food. I could eat pancakes, eggs, and bacon for all my meals. I loved my grandmom’s scrambled eggs with tomato and pancakes so much that breakfast solidified in my mind as the best meal of the day.

In other words, if you can put syrup on it, it’s for me.

Not able to stop in for breakfast? Don’t worry. They have a fantastic lunch selection, too. From burgers to melts to crunchy salads, you’ll have no problem finding something that works for any time of day.
