Breakfast burritos have become popular items in the last couple of years, and there are many great options. It can be hard to keep up with all the options since almost every fast food restaurant now has a breakfast burrito.
Since I love breakfast burritos so much, I decided to eat as many fast food breakfast burritos as I could get my hands on and figure out which ones are the best.

Wendy’s Sausage, Egg & Cheese Burrito
Wendy’s is one of the best fast-food chains in the world.
Unfortunately, in my opinion, their breakfast options were lacking in the past. That changed when they introduced the sausage, egg, and cheese burrito.
This breakfast burrito is packed with delicious pork sausage, melty American cheese, and fluffy scrambled eggs. A tasty flour tortilla holds it all together.
I was shocked at how good this burrito was. I expected it to be decent, but it blew my expectations out of the water.
The sausage was some of the best I’ve had in a breakfast burrito. In addition to being delicious, it’s one of the most affordable breakfast burritos on this list.
McDonald’s Sausage Burrito
McDonald’s is the largest fast food chain in the world and has long been known for its breakfast items.
The sausage, egg, cheese McMuffin, and the McGriddles are fast food breakfast staples. McDonald’s entered the best fast food breakfast burrito competition with their sausage burrito.
The burrito has:
- Tasty scrambled eggs
- Green peppers
- Onions
- American cheese
- Delicious pork sausage
I love the addition of green peppers and onions because it adds a certain freshness to this burrito.
I don’t think it is as good as the McMuffin, but it’s a terrific breakfast burrito, especially when paired with a McDonald’s coffee.
Burger King Egg-Normous Breakfast Burrito
Not to be left behind, Burger King also has a new breakfast burrito on its menu.
The Egg-Normous Breakfast Burrito lives up to its name, as it’s one of the most enormous breakfast burritos I’ve ever seen.
This burrito behemoth contains scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, hash browns, American cheese, and creamy chipotle sauce, all wrapped up in a flour tortilla. It’s an absolute monster of a breakfast burrito!
I was impressed with how well all the flavors came together in this burrito.
The sausage, bacon, and hash browns all had great taste, and the chipotle sauce added a nice kick of heat.

Chick-Fil-A Hashbrown Scramble Burrito
Chick-FIl-A is a fast-food chain that is known for its fried chicken.
As more and more people want fast-food breakfast options, Chick-Fil-A expanded its menu to include breakfast and added the Hashbrown Scramble Burrito.
I love how big this burrito is. If you’re hungry in the morning, this will fill you up. It has an excellent jalapeno salsa that comes on the side, and I was surprised at how spicy it was.
The salsa added a lot of flavor to the burrito, as well as some freshness.
The hash browns in this burrito are incredible; they’re crispy and have great flavor. The scrambled eggs are creamy and delicious, and the chicken is, of course, fried to perfection.
Hardee’s Loaded Breakfast Burrito
Hardee’s is a fast food chain known for its burgers and fried chicken.
Hardee’s recently added the Loaded Breakfast Burrito to its menu, which is incredible and filling.
This burrito has sausage, bacon, ham, eggs, American cheese, and hash browns.
The dish has so much meat, which automatically makes it one of the best value-for-money breakfast burrito options.
I was astonished at how good the ham was. It added a nice smoky flavor to the burrito.
All in all, Hardee’s loaded breakfast burrito is an excellent breakfast item that will start your day on the right foot.
Carl’s Jr.’s Big Country Breakfast Burrito
Carl’s Jr. is known for its burgers and breakfast sandwiches. The Big Country Breakfast Burrito doesn’t let this notorious restaurant chain down.
This enormous burrito is packed with:
- Sausage
- Ham
- Bacon bits
- Eggs
- Hashbrowns
- Shredded American cheese
- Gravy
This dish has everything you could want in a breakfast burrito! The sausage, ham, and bacon add a rich flavor and make the meal super satisfying.
The eggs are fluffy, and the hashbrowns are crispy. The gravy ties everything together and makes this burrito incredible.
I would highly recommend this breakfast burrito. It might just be my favorite one on this list!
Del Taco Scrambled Burrito
A lot of people sleep on Del Taco. This taco fast food chain has some great food, and I particularly like their burritos.
The Scrambled Burrito is one of the best burritos I’ve had at Del Taco.
This burrito contains scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes, green onions, and bacon.
As with most breakfast burritos, it’s all wrapped up in a fluffy tortilla.
I love the addition of green onions, as it adds a lot of flavor to the burrito. The eggs are the right texture, and the bacon is crispy.
My favorite part of ordering this breakfast burrito is getting the salsa from the salsa bar at Del Taco. Del Taco’s salsa takes this breakfast burrito to the next level.
Taco Bell’s Grande Toasted Breakfast Burrito
Without a burrito from Taco Bell, no list of the best fast food breakfast burritos would be complete.
Taco Bell is known for its Mexican-American food, and its breakfast burritos are some of the best. Pair this dish with a large takeaway coffee, and you’ve got the formula for a perfect day.
The Grande Toasted Breakfast Burrito contains eggs, sausage, fresh tomatoes, and hashbrowns. It’s wrapped in a flour tortilla and toasted to perfection.
This breakfast burrito is pretty good, but I think the other burritos on Taco Bell’s menu are better.
Taco Time’s Bacon & Egg Burrito
Taco Time is another popular Mexican chain that has added some breakfast burritos to its menu.
Although they have several burritos on their breakfast menu, I think the best one is the bacon and egg burrito.
This burrito contains eggs, bacon, cheddar cheese, and tater-tots, which are bound up in a large tortilla.
I wish this burrito had more bacon and cheddar cheese, but the tater-tots are amazing. They’re super crispy and offer a great contrast to the creaminess of the eggs.
After eating Taco Time’s Bacon and Egg Burrito, I want to put tater-tots in all my breakfast burritos!
Wawa Breakfast Burritos
Wawa might be the most fabulous convenience store in the world.
Every time I walk in, I’m blown away by the sheer number of food items and the food quality.
Wawa has a wide variety of breakfast burritos. Each starts with scrambled eggs, salsa, your choice of cheese, and a flour tortilla.
Like most of the food options at Wawa, you can customize the burrito to your liking. I always add bacon, avocado, and a little bit of hot sauce.
The result is a fantastic breakfast burrito that’s better than anything I’ve ever had at a fast food restaurant.
The only downside to Wawa’s breakfast burritos is that they’re a bit pricey, and Wawa doesn’t operate in many states.
Sonic Drive-In’s SuperSonic Breakfast Burrito
Sonic is known for its unique take on fast food service.
I’ve had many of Sonic’s slushies before, but I didn’t even know they had breakfast burritos. When I tried the SuperSonic Breakfast Burrito, I was impressed.
The SuperSonic Breakfast Burrito is packed with high-quality ingredients.
In addition to the classic fillings of sausage, eggs, and cheddar cheese, the burrito also has tater tots, onions, tomatoes, and spicy jalapenos. The jalapenos and tater tots take this burrito to the next level.
I recommend adding extra zesty cheese sauce for more morning indulgence! I promise you won’t regret it.
