Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar

With a pretty strong fanbase, a huge mouthwatering menu, and nearly 70 locations in 28 states, Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar is probably one of the best chain steakhouses in America! 

The restaurant is known for its filet mignon and dry-aged rib-eyes with truffle-poached lobster as an add-on – it is simply worth the extra calories!

As a food enthusiast, you have to order at least one of these while dining at Fleming’s. 

The best part? Although the restaurant can be heavy on the pocket, it leaves no stone unturned in offering various promotions and discounts, such as their famous Tomahawk Tuesday.


Morton’s 

Top Locations: San Francisco, CA. New York. NY. 

Morton’s has more than 70 locations across the United States.

With its succulent steaks, bright, contemporary interior, and sophisticated decor, it is safe to say that Morton’s makes for a classic dining experience. 

You absolutely cannot miss out on their cajun-seasoned rib-eye, New York strip, and veal chops, all three of which are star attractions.

I often pair my meat with iceberg wedges, but other options include lobster tails and escargot


Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse

Top Locations: Baltimore, MD. Durham, NC. 

Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse is an iconic chain known for serving some of the juiciest cuts of meats, particularly for those of us who like their meat tender and rare.

I think what sets this steakhouse chain apart from many others is that they serve their meat on a hot plate in a pool of sizzling butter, which enhances the flavor profile of the beef.   

Be sure to try their rib-eyes, T-bones, and porterhouse steak cuts. Other than the usual steaks, they serve New Orleans-style BBQ shrimp, which is by far the best I have had so far.

Mastro’s 

Top Locations: Scottsdale, AZ. Malibu, CA. 

Priding on excellent service and succulent food—and rightfully so in my opinion—Mastro’s is one of the best chain steakhouses in America for a reason!

It serves a mouthful of fresh and juicy beef steaks, pork, and veal, with more than 15 classic sides.

Those include king crab legs, lobster mashed potatoes, and truffle gnocchi. Their Japanese A5 Wagyu steaks are well worth every penny.

From my own experience, you won’t feel an ounce of regret ordering one of these.

Their menu isn’t only restricted to their mouthwatering and tender meat options but features creative sushi rolls, caviar, foie gras, and roasted bone marrow, all of which are worth every penny.

There is also live music, so a night out always feels complete at Mastro’s. 


The Palm 

Top Locations: Las Vegas, NV. Atlanta, GA. 

The Palm is known for many things, like lamb and seafood. However, their specialty lies in their tender steaks.

Spread across the States in more than 24 locations, the restaurant gives you the best of everything. From a clubby atmosphere to rare meat, The Palm is the place for a quality steak. 

The 12-ounce 35-day aged New York strip with sauteed onions and roasted peppers is their traditional take on a juicy steak.

It’s a house favorite and one that often lands on my table whenever I’m here. 

If you’re looking for exceptional dishes outside of the meaty menu, try their Clams casino and shrimp cocktail, and thank me later! 


The Capital Grille

Top Locations: Philadelphia, PA. Phoenix, AR. 

Think of mouthwatering, buttery 14-ounce New York strip and steak au poivre, dry-aged for around 20 days—sounds like a dream for every steak lover.

Luckily, The Capital Grille turns this dream into a reality. Perhaps this is why The Capital Grille has expanded across 25 states in the last decade. 

Besides their classic beef meat menu, I suggest sampling the shellfish platter, cast iron garlic shrimp, and veal tomahawk pork chop.

If you’re looking for a fine dining steakhouse experience that offers high-quality steaks without costing an exorbitant amount of money, head on over to Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse.

There, you’ll get to indulge in their 45-day dry-aged prime ribeye, which I consider steals the show for being the best dish on their menu. 

Not sure what flavor to order in? I was surprised to find that the steak tastes delicious no matter whether it’s rare or well-done. So, whatever temperature you pick, you’re sure to leave satisfied. 


Fogo de Chao 

Top Locations: Dallas, TX. Albuquerque, NM.

It isn’t uncommon to find yourself craving some good ol’ steak but feeling dreadful about the same flavor profile.

For such days, you need to make your way to Fogo de Chao, a Brazilian-American fusion chain steakhouse. 

While you’re going to find traditional steaks on their menu, once you get the meat on your table, it is anything but ordinary.

Most of the steaks are made with a Brazilian twist, served with flavors of the Middle East.

I recommend the fraldinha, which is one of the most distinctive (and tender!) dishes on the menu. 


Outback Steakhouse

While it might not be everyone’s go-to for steak, Outback Steakhouse has garnered quite a reputation for its New York strip, filet mignon, and spicy shrimps, all of which are worth a try at least once. 

The restaurant’s theme is quite different from other restaurants, primarily because it follows an Australian-American fusion food menu.

I don’t know if that plays a role, but I’ve always found their restaurants to have a welcoming atmosphere.

LongHorn Steakhouse

LongHorn Steakhouse is a very well-known steakhouse chain, having restaurants in some 435 locations and 40 states.

That spread attests to the popularity of their lip-smacking deliciously. Its menu offers a lot of variation, which is always something that I look for in a restaurant.   

Start by ordering their appetizers. I personally recommend the parmesan-crusted asparagus and lobster dip.

Then, move on to their 30-ounce porterhouse for two. If alone, you can’t beat their beef filet stuffed with white cheddar and bacon. 

Apart from their food, I love the Western décor theme they follow across their restaurants. It never fails to leave you feeling a touch of nostalgia.

Texas Roadhouse 

Top Locations: Tucson, AR. Knoxville, TN.

Another classic! Texas Roadhouse is known for its delicious comfort food and affordable prices, making classic Texas steaks accessible to every food lover across the country. 

Once at the restaurant, try their Dallas Filet and Road Kill. Yes, I know what you’re thinking!

They do have pretty unique names for their dishes, but it’s another part of this establishment that I think sets them apart from other steakhouses.

Of course, it’s their food that is the most important part. I’m certainly a fan of their sirloin steak, which has a delightful juiciness to it. 


All the steakhouses mentioned above are rustic, featuring an eye-catching interior and full of comfortable seating, making them the perfect dine-out for the night. 

If you are somewhat particular about your food and how much you pay for it, you would appreciate knowing that these are some of the best chain steakhouses in America. You can certainly never go wrong with the entries on this list, regardless of the restaurant you pick.

  1. Everyone in our area loves the Texas Roadhouse by far over the Outback. They both opened up at 4:00 ( during the week). Now the parking lot at TexasRoadhouse is packed and they are parking on the streets and the Outback is closed for good.
    Those are the only 2 on your list that we have in our area.
    Every single meal I’ve ever had at Texas Roadhouse has been awesome, from the catfish to the pork chops (best I’ve ever had by far!) to the porterhouse.
