I had never been to a Jason’s Deli until I moved to Texas. I kind of thought they were like a fancier Subway, but I was wrong. Jason’s Deli sandwiches are delicious, and there’s such a variety of them! They’ve also been partnering with doctors to create heart-healthy menu items since 1980.

Club sandwiches are a classic option for delis. If you go to delis often, you are probably used to seeing some form of a club sandwich on the menu.
However, the Club Royale at Jason’s takes it to a whole new level. The first step on this journey: Jason’s puts the club sandwich on a croissant.
It’s got all the classic club ingredients: bacon, turkey, ham, cheddar, swiss, lettuce, tomato, mustard. However, the deli took out the mayo and let the natural moisture in the vegetables shine forth.
With a buttery croissant and a cup of chicken noodle soup, you’ll be completely satisfied with this Jason’s Deli classic.
Reuben THE Great
If the club is the mother of all deli sandwiches, the Reuben is the father. It might have one of the most interesting histories of any sandwich (who did invent it anyway?).
No matter what its history is, the bottom line is that the Reuben sandwich is great. Jason’s Deli has upped the game with Reuben THE Great.
Jason’s Deli Reuben has all the essential ingredients of a Reuben sandwich: half a pound of pastrami (corned beef), sauerkraut, swiss cheese, and Thousand Island dressing. Don’t like sauerkraut?
The New York Yankee is the same sandwich, just without the dressing or the pickled cabbage.
One of the unique offerings on the Jason’s Deli menu is their array of baked potatoes. Generally, when you think of delis, you think of sandwiches, chips, and maybe some soups.
But Jason offers baked potatoes as a side or main dish (I would guess it’s a Texas influence). Baked potatoes are an excellent choice for gluten-sensitive customers.
The Plain Jane, as you might have guessed, is their simplest potato, but it still has toppings. It’s a massive baked potato topped with butter, cheddar cheese, sour cream, bacon, and green onion. Yeah. That’s “plain” in the language of Jason’s Deli potatoes.
It’s a meal by itself and just as delightful as it sounds!
Imagine a club sandwich, but with guacamole. Well, you don’t have to imagine it anymore, because the California Club exists! It’s just as good as the original Club Royale but adds a layer of (healthy) fatty goodness in the house-made guacamole.
The guacamole on the sandwich replaces the ham and cheddar, meaning that this sandwich starts with a croissant and adds turkey, bacon, guacamole, swiss cheese, tomato, field greens, and mayonnaise.
It’s a healthier version of the Club Royale but still as delightful to your taste buds.
Garden Fresh Salad Bar
Looking for a variety of healthy options? One of Jason’s Deli’s best-selling menu items is its salad bar. With over 100 different ingredients to choose from, you can create your salad.
It can be as healthy as you want or drenched in thousand island dressing.
The Garden Fresh Salad Bar has been a part of Jason’s core menu offerings since 1980 and continues to be a big hit. It’s especially popular amongst dieting customers, people who want healthy fast food, or anyone with dietary restrictions who need to control their meal.
There are vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free, and gluten-free options at the salad bar.
If you’re looking for a twist on a classic Italian club, look no further than the Carmela. This sandwich plays with the flavors of different kinds of meats and does it perfectly.
It stacks salami, pepperoni, and ham on a base of toasted sourdough. Topped with mayonnaise, melted provolone, and piquillo pepper relish, it gives just the right amount of kick.
The Carmela is one of the most popular sandwiches at Jason’s Deli, especially for meat lovers. If you want a protein-packed sandwich with a little bit of heat, the Carmela might be your top pick.
Get a side salad with it, because there are no vegetables in sight on this beauty!
Smokey Jack Panini
I love sandwiches, but I love hot sandwiches even more. Paninis are my weakness, and the Smokey Jack Panini is no exception. It is warm and comforting, and a great sandwich for lunch or dinner.
The Smokey Jack pairs well with a Jason’s Deli soup (I dip it in a cup of tomato basil soup).
The Smokey Jack Panini starts on sourdough bread and stacks up turkey, bacon, jalapeno, and pepper jack cheese. Both slices of bread are slathered with Thousand Island dressing, which brings all the flavors together in a truly wonderful way.
This panini is another super popular menu item at Jason’s for good reasons.
Bigger Better BLT
What’s better than a classic BLT? A Bigger Better BLT! In addition to the usual (bacon, lettuce, and tomato–duh), this BLT has avocados, mayo, and a freshly cracked egg. It is served on full-sized multigrain bread.
Jason’s Deli doesn’t technically have a breakfast menu, so this delicious sandwich is served all day.
This sandwich seriously feels like two breakfasts in one. You’ve got a BLT–the quick before-work breakfast that you hastily eat in the car–and a leisurely fried egg and avocado brunch. The combination of these lives up to the sandwich’s name; it truly is a Bigger Better BLT!
Salmon Pacifica Salad
You might be thinking, “why would I get a salad if I’m going out to eat?” I am usually of the same opinion. I think that salads at most restaurants are overrated, and if I’m out, I might as well enjoy myself. Well, that was before I had the Salmon Pacifica Salad at Jason’s Deli.
Seriously, this salad is so good. It is light and refreshing but fills you up enough, so you don’t feel empty after half an hour.
The Salmon Pacifica Salad has a field greens base that is chock full of veggies (tomatoes, cucumbers, pickled red onions, fire-roasted piquillo peppers, and avocados). It’s topped with wild-caught Alaskan salmon and a refreshing dill vinaigrette.
Texas Style Spud
Looking for something a little more Southern? If you want some classic Texas taste, you’ve come to the right place.
The Texas Style Spud is another baked potato option. It’s massive, to begin with, but is then topped with melted butter, smoked barbecue meat, barbecue sauce, and melted cheddar cheese.
Seriously, this spud is worth the price. It is the prime definition of a “loaded baked potato” since you can hardly see the potato itself for all the meat and sauce!
If you are bored of sandwiches and want to try something new, go for the Texas Style Spud and embrace your southern side.

Jason’s Deli has a larger menu than this, of course, and most of the other things are good. The sides are usually salads, soups, pasta, or chips, and the drinks consist of soft drinks or iced tea. However, it’s the sandwiches that are the real stars. If you go to Jason’s Deli and opt for a non-sandwich option, you might be missing out on your new favorite!
