Ordering appetizers at a restaurant is one of my favorite parts of going out to eat. We love getting appetizers when we go out with friends for a few drinks, and sometimes we won’t even get an entree! After all, who said you can’t make a meal out of just appetizers? Especially at Applebees, where the best Applebees appetizers are half off late at night!

If there’s one place we really enjoy grabbing appetizers from, it’s Applebee’s. Applebee’s is a fantastic restaurant when it comes to going out to eat in general, but the appetizers on the menu here are some of the best ones around, in my opinion.
When ordering appetizers at Applebee’s, you’re faced with an enormous amount of options, each one more delicious than the last, so it might help to have a bit of a guide to which ones are the best, and that’s what we’ve got for you right here. Check out the absolute best appetizers at Applebee’s ranked right down below.
Brew Pub Pretzels & Beer Cheese Dip
Taking the number-one spot on my list of best Applebee’s appetizers is the Brew Pub Pretzels & Beer Cheese Dip combo. This is the ultimate appetizer in my opinion, and it’s ideal for sharing between a group of friends, especially over a couple cocktails.
The Brew Pub Pretzels & Beer Cheese Dip is delicious because the pretzels are so soft, warm and the Blue Moon cheese dip is a white cheddar that goes perfectly with the chewy pretzel sticks. It also comes with a honey dijon mustard as well which I almost prefer over the cheese dip.
Spinach & Artichoke Dip
This next appetizer menu item from Applebee’s should come as no surprise to anyone who has had it before. The Spinach & Artichoke Dip from Applebee’s ranks among my all-time favorite dips from any restaurant.
The Spinach & Artichoke Dip at Applebee’s is the absolute perfec combination of creamy dip with the flavor of spinach and artichokes that really is set off by the layer of parmesan cheese that it comes topped with. The tortilla chips are also freshly-made with the perfect crunch to them. This appetizer is a must-try for anyone coming to Applebee’s, day or night.
Boneless Wings
Up next are the Boneless Wings, and trust me, you’ll want to make a whole meal out of these bad boys when you try them. I’ve done it before many times!
The Boneless Wings from Applebee’s are a surefire appetizer thats bound to satisfy you. The Boneless Wings are unbeatable, and I think it’s mainly because of all the sauces that you can choose from. When ordering Boneless wings at Applebee’s, you can choose between delicious sauces like honey bbq, classic buffalo, honey pepper sauce, sweet Asian chili, garlic parmesan sauce, or even no sauce at all!
Neighborhood Nachos Beef
Up next, the Neighborhood Nachos Beef is an appetizer that’s sure to please the whole party. I absolutely love to order the Neighborhood Nachos Beef at Applebees because sometimes I don’t even need an entree afterwards!
This appetizer is big enough to share, but you really won’t want to, trust me. The Neighborhood Nachos Beef comes with their freshly-made tortilla chips topped with taco-seasoned ground beef, queso blanco, melted cheddar cheeses, house-made pico de gallo, fresh jalapeños, chopped cilantro, sour cream and guacamole. It’s the ultimate rendition of a classic plate of nachos. It goes great with a margarita too!
Onion Rings
Onion Rings are the next appetizer at Applebee’s that I think you should try, and this one really shouldn’t need much of an explanation as to why. The Onion Rings from Applebee’s are crunchy, delicious, and they come served with a honey BBQ sauce that can’t be topped.
I always get the Onion Rings when I come to Applebee’s because they’re so perfectly fried and crunchy on the outside, yet the inside of the onion ring stays nice and soft with the sweet flavor of onion. The honey BBQ sauce is just the cherry on top. I could eat this appetizer with or without the sauce, honestly.
Chicken Quesadilla
Up next on my list of best appetizers Applebee’s has to offer is their Chicken Quesadilla. The Chicken Quesadilla is another one of Applebee’s appetizers that is so filling, you probably won’t want to eat much more afterwards. Unless you split it with other people, but who really wants to share when it tastes this good?
The Chicken Quesadilla is made with Applebee’s delectable cilantro-lime chicken, house-made pico de gallo and their signature blend of melted cheddar cheeses. It also comes with a side of chipotle-lime salsa and some sour cream for dipping your quesadilla.
Mozzarella Sticks
Mozzarella Sticks are usually a fantastic appetizer no matter which restaurant you go to, but Applebee’s serves up some particularly delightful ones, in my opinion, and I think everyone should give them a shot.
The Mozzarella Sticks from Applebee’s are basically perfection if you ask me. They are perfectly fried to a crunchy golden brown on the outside, yet on the inside they’re full of soft, melted mozzarella cheese. We also really enjoy the warm marinara sauce that comes on the side for dipping, but you can opt for the house-made ranch dressing as well if you prefer that instead.
Chicken Wonton Tacos
The next appetizer on my list are the Chicken Wonton Tacos. This menu item is absolutely fantastic and I honestly don’t know who came up with this, or how, but I’d like to thank them from the bottom of my heart for their great contribution to society.
The Chicken Wonton Tacos consist of Applebee’s Sweet Asian Chili-marinated grilled chicken inside of crispy wonton shells that provide a mouth-watering crunch to the whole experience. Not only that, but they are then topped off with coleslaw and cilantro. It’s the ideal fusion of Mexican and Asian cuisine that you never knew you needed.
Caesar Salad
Up next is the Caesar Salad from the appetizer menu at Applebee’s and this one really never disappoints. I usually order the Caesar Salad when I’m in the mood for a slightly healthier option compared to the other menu items I’ve mentioned so far.
The Caesar Salad from Applebee’s is a top-tier appetizer. It comes with fresh greens, a delicious caesar dressing that we all know and love, and some shaved parmesan cheese for a little extra flavor. The best part, in my opinion, are the croutons that go on top. I swear I could eat those by themselves.
White Queso Dip and Chips
Next up is the White Queso Dip and Chips from the appetizers menu here at Applebee’s. This is a classic appetizer that the whole table will enjoy, except you’ll probably want to keep it all to yourself since it’s so delicious.
The freshly made tortilla chips are crunchy and warm, providing the absolutel perfect tool to transport the creamy white queso to your mouth. The queso has a wonderful flavor of cheese and just the right amount of spice that’s not too overpowering. I definitely recommend a margarita to go with your White Queso Dip and Chips.
Double Crunch Bone-In Wings
Last, but definitely not least, are the Double Crunch Bone-In Wings. These are easily one of the best appetizers at Applebee’s in my opinion. You definitely should check these out the next time you come here.
The Double Crunch Bone-In Wings at Applebee’s are just like the Boneless Wings that we know and love, except they’re more like traditional wings because they still have the bone in them. They come served with the house-made ranch dressing or the bleu cheese dressing with your choice of delicious sauce. The only hard part is answering the age-old debate: flats or drums?
Applebee’s is a fantastic place to come for both lunch and dinner, but my favorite part of coming here is just enjoying all of the tasty appetizers that they have on their menu. We hope this guide comes in handy the next time you’re wondering which Applebee’s appetizers are the best.
Many of these Applebee’s apps are included in their late night half priced apps deal, one of the most popular chain restaurant deals out there!
