The one snack I devour more than any other is chicken wings. While you may not think of Pizza Hut when you think of wings, they offer some delicious and varied wing flavors.

If you ask me to have them every day, you can bet on the fact that I will be up and ready to down both flats and drumettes in a matter of minutes. If a game day is near, no matter the sport – from football to basketball – a bucket of wings is a must for me.

My favorite place to order wings from is Pizza Hut. They are juicy, full of flavor to the bone, and their sauces are made with some of the best recipes I have had. Plus, wings go perfectly with Pizza Hut’s pizzas!

Wing Flavors at Pizza Hut 

From the perfect variation of spice levels in Buffalo sauces to Cajun Dry Rub wings, the following Pizza Hut wing flavors top my charts. 

Honey BBQ

The Honey BBQ wing flavor is one I order every time at Pizza Hut, no matter what other dish I ask for from the servers.

The crispy coating on the wings, deep-fried to excellence, is worth appreciating all on its own- but the sauce used to add to the flavor of the wing is no less.

Packed with flavor, the sweet but smokey and tangy sauce is cooked down to the ideal thickness and consistency.

Slathered all over the chicken wings, each bite packs a punch. They are very aesthetic to look at as well, with the rich brown glaze highlighting each crest of the fried wing.

 Ingredients:

  • Honey
  • Ketchup
  • Apple Cider Vinegar
  • Worcestershire Sauce

Garlic Parmesan

If you are okay with getting your hands a little dirty, then these wings should not be a problem for you.

I simply love garlic. If a recipe says to add two cloves, you will see me add, perhaps six.

It is no surprise that Garlic Parmesan is one of my favorite Pizza Hut wing flavors of all time. You are bound to be hit with a strong taste of garlic with every bite.

Moreover, the sauce coating the wings is cheesy and creamy with a mild spice to it due to the pepper and herbs in it.

Even after devouring the wings, you will surely be licking your fingers for any remainder of the creamy, garlic-infused sauce leftover.

Buffalo Burnin’ Hot

Whenever someone mentions chicken wings, the first thing that comes to mind is the classic Buffalo flavor.

Originating originally at the Anchor Bar in Buffalo, New York, this flavor of chicken wings was a fluke on part of the owner Teressa Bellissimo.

The peppery hot sauce was cooked with leftover wings for her son and his friends and took fame from there.

The Buffalo Burnin’ Hot sauce at Pizza Hut gets you coughing with just a whiff of its fumes as you open your mouth to bite into the chicken wing.

If you dare, order yourself a few Buffalo Burnin’ Hot wings and see if you can handle the pepper.


Buffalo Medium

Although many people think that Buffalo sauce is the same as hot sauce, it actually has a much higher concentration of cayenne pepper.

Moreover, it has melted butter or other flavors similar to butter blended into it.

Though not as spicy as the Burnin’ Hot variation of the same sauce, Buffalo Medium is not to be taken lightly either.

If you want to savor these chicken wings to the fullest, make sure that they are fully saturated with this spicy, tear-jerking sauce to the point that it is virtually dripping down.

If it is too hard to handle, order a plate of celery and ranch on the side to cool down the effects of the heat.


Buffalo Mild

If herbs and spices are not your things, but you still want to enjoy the classic, well-loved chicken wing flavor, Pizza Hut has got your back.

The food chain introduced a mild version of the Buffalo sauce that even a toddler could handle.

I love the spice I get with Buffalo Medium, and on rare occasions Buffalo Burnin’ Hot, but even the mild does justice to the plate of chicken wings.

The wings are full of flavor and pack a mild punch. The sauce’s texture is smooth and creamy, something I have learned to appreciate over time.

  • Hot Sauce
  • Vinegar
  • Worcestershire Sauce

Hawaiian Teriyaki

The Hawaiian Teriyaki, though a personal favorite, might not be a flavor that everyone would enjoy.

This mild sauce will remind you of pineapples and Asian cuisine – a combination unique in nature.

They mostly taste like Teriyaki, with a tad of soy and a lot of sweetness. The blend of rich, East-Asian flavors, with the essence of some island citrus from Pineapples, is a perfect blend for your palate.

If you are one of those who debate against pineapple on pizza and do not enjoy flavors out of the ordinary, then this one might not be it for you.

Spicy Garlic

For me, the Spicy Garlic chicken wings at Pizza Hut are an absolute game-changer.

While they may not be the spiciest Pizza Hut wings, they offer a spicy kick due to the spices added into the sauce. Moreover, the essence of garlic had been curling my toes. 

These wings were dripping in sauce to the point that I was licking the wings before taking a bite into them.

The key to a good, flavored chicken wing is to be packed with flavor, and the spicy garlic wings fulfill that condition to the fullest.


Lemon Pepper Dry Rub

It is difficult to go wrong with a lemon pepper-based flavor in any meal, from grilled chicken to a set of wings.

What I liked most about the Lemon Pepper Dry Rub chicken wings at Pizza Hut was that the flavor combination of spicy pepper and citrusy lemon did not take away the spotlight from the flavor of the chicken itself.

The best bit about the wings coated in the dry rub is that they tend to be much crispier than their counterparts coated in sauce.


Cajun Dry Rub

Even though dry-rubs are not my cup of tea, Pizza Hut is an exception. Simplicity amplified, Cajun Dry Rub chicken wings are coated with spices like Cajun, Pepper, and Salt.

The wings have a profoundly strong taste of chicken and were juicy to eat even without any sauce.

Don’t judge me but by the end of the meal, I was dipping my finger in the seasoning left behind on my plate.

If you like to eat elegantly and do not want to get your hands and mouth covered with remains of sauce, then going for a dry rub flavor is a viable option.


Naked Wings

Simplicity will never lose its charm. Whether it is people, homes, lifestyles, or wings, simplicity can disqualify everything else and have the spotlight shine on it.

That is how I feel about the Naked Wings at Pizza Hut.

Even with no flavor on top, the wings have so much personality that makes your mouth burst with flavors.

With a delicious ranch dressing on the side or a blue-cheese dip, you can enhance the saltiness of the wings.

Light on the mouth, and the stomach, these wings are easy to eat. Beware, though. You might just end up eating a dozen without realizing it. Luckily, these are one of the healthier items at Pizza Hut.

So, there you have it! My favorite flavors of chicken wings are at the Wichita-based multinational restaurant chain. Even though the restaurant’s specialty is Pan Pizza, they are an excellent option to consider when you need to grab some wings.

With most of the flavors discussed above, it should be easy to know what to order and expect. If you are a picky eater, opt for the flavors like the Naked Wings, Lemon Pepper Dry Rub, or the Cajun Dry Rub. However, if you enjoy trying unique flavors out, it would be a crime to miss out on the Hawaiian Teriyaki!

All this talk about the Pizza Hut wing flavors has got my mouth watering and craving a juicy box of chicken wings to devour. I know what I am ordering now!
