The Best Food at BurgerFi

BurgerFi is a highly rated hamburger chain restaurant that is popular across the United States but dominates the East Coast, perhaps since it originated in Lauderdale-by-the-sea, Florida.

Burgerfi Restaurant

The restaurant is relatively new to the scene, founded in 2011. Perhaps due to their modernity, they emphasize having an eco-friendly environment while still serving fresh, real food at a decent price point.

And given their eco-friendly emphasis, it should come as no surprise that this burger joint also has options for non-beef eaters and complete vegetarians

They don’t just sell burgers, either. Fries, chicken, sandwiches, shakes, hot dogs, and frozen custard are among the popular items at BurgerFi. But the best foods at BurgerFi are definitely the burgers and sandwiches.

This article will break down the best BurgerFi menu items and describe what makes them our top choices.

By the end, you should be able to select which BurgerFi menu item you wish to try first—or perhaps a few of them!

Breakfast All Day Burger

Everyone loves breakfast tacos and breakfast burritos, but breakfast burgers are getting more time in the light these days.

What makes BurgerFi’s Breakfast All Day Burger suitable for a heavy and filling breakfast? You get classic burger items like natural Angus beef, American cheese, and ketchup.

But you also get breakfast items on your burger, including maple syrup, bacon, hash browns, and a fried egg.

They also throw in grilled chopped onions with the rest of these ingredients for a dynamic consistency, with bites that are crunchy, soft, gooey, and crispy all at once.

You can eat this burger for breakfast as its contents suggest, but I think it’s delicious at any time of the day—as its name suggests!

Fi’ed Chicken Sandwich

BurgerFi’s fried chicken sandwich, called the Fi’ed chicken sandwich, is a great choice if you’re not a big beef eater.

It includes pickle chips, lettuce, tomato, and honey mustard bbq sauce to top it all off.

Like the other chicken sandwiches, this sandwich uses cage-free, all-natural chicken to make a delicious sandwich.

CEO Burger

The CEO Burger is perfect for a “treat yourself” type of day because it’s a fancy, gourmet take on a standard burger.

Instead of Angus beef, you’ll get a higher quality and more premium burger patty—a combination of wagyu and brisket.

Instead of typical American cheese, you’ll get aged Swiss cheese.

Instead of boring old ketchup, you’ll get irresistible truffle aioli. And instead of the standard two strips of bacon, this burger comes with homemade candied bacon-tomato jam.

See why it’s fancy? You get the point. This burger is not an everyday burger but a gift to yourself after you’ve worked hard all day, which is why it’s appropriately named the CEO.

French Fries

It’s not surprising that a burger joint serves fries; it would actually be shocking if they didn’t!

However, many burger restaurants skimp on the quality of the fries because they know people will order them anyway, or they come with the burger, so it doesn’t matter if they are that delicious or not.

Fortunately, BurgerFi treats their fries as important as their burgers. Their french fries are crunchy, crisp, and fresh instead of old, stale, or overly greasy like other fast-casual restaurant fries tend to be.

Plus, BurgerFi has a selection—or more accurately a collection—of delicious sauces to choose from to take your french fries up another notch. My favorites include ghost pepper honey, bacon jalapeño ranch, and Memphis sweet bbq.

Spicy Fi’ed Chicken Sandwich

If you like your chicken all-natural, cage-free, spicy, and extremely delicious, then don’t miss BurgerFi’s Spicy Fi’ed Chicken Sandwich.

From Springer Mountain Farms, the chicken is juicy on the inside, crunchy on the outside, and able to suit the needs of real spice lovers.

When you see a spicy chicken sandwich on the menu, it’s usually safe to assume that there’ll be one or two ingredients that give it its “spicy” name, such as peppers or a spicy sauce.

But this sandwich has not one, not two, not three, but four different spicy elements — hot pickles, ghost pepper honey, fresh jalapeños, and spicy mayo.

If you can typically handle other restaurants’ spicy chicken sandwiches, you may still get quite the kick from this one!

The VegeFi Burger

The VegeFi Burger is the best BurgerFi menu item for vegetarians looking for a plant-based burger.

It’s made with crispy quinoa and topped with white cheddar, tomato, and lettuce. The burger toppings are not too special in and of themselves, but BurgerFi uses fresh and quality ingredients so that even their more simplistic burgers still taste gourmet.

This burger also comes with BurgerFi sauce, which is mysterious yet delicious enough not to question it.

However, given all of the savory burger and sandwich options at BurgerFi, I’d only recommend ordering this if you are a vegetarian or vegan.

And if you’re a vegan specifically, make sure to ask for the Vegan Multigrain Bun instead of the VegiFi Patty, which contains some cheese.

Red Velvet and Black & White Shakes

BurgerFi offers a variety of delicious hand-spun shakes to suit any shake lover’s top preferences.

Their shakes include Red Velvet, Vanilla, Ghirardelli Chocolate, Black + White, Strawberry, Oreo Cookie, Coffee Mocha, Banana Churro, but I prefer the Red Velvet and Black & White shakes the most.

The Red Velvet shake not only tastes good but looks good. Its light pink coloring and whipped cream coating with sprinkles on top make it especially inviting.

Although the Black & White Custard Shake may not be as Insta-worthy as the Red Velvet one, it’s perfect for those who love the combination of chocolate and vanilla.

Texas Style Dog

BurgerFi also has three different hot dog options for either hot dog lovers or hamburger lovers who want to switch things up.

All of the hot dogs use American wagyu beef, and you can get it plain, New York Style with sauerkraut and mustard, or Texas Style with chili, cheese, and hot sauce.

I like the Texas Style Dog the best because it’s spicy, cheesy, and satisfying every time. However, if you like sauerkraut, the New York Style dog is worth a try as well.

Onion Rings

Onion rings tend to be french fries’ constantly forgotten little brother, but not at BurgerFi.

BurgerFi’s Onion Rings are fat, crispy, beer-battered, and hard to ignore.

You can get them as a side for your burger or order a large portion and eat it alone as a snack.

Plus, similar to the french fries, they go well with many if not all of BurgerFi’s delectable sauces.

The Beyond Burger

If you’re a vegetarian or vegan and you’re tired of the weaker veggie burger options at these types of restaurants, you’ll be happy to know that BurgerFi also serves a Beyond Burger.

Beyond burgers use Beyond Meat, which is 100% plant-based but tastes eerily similar to the real thing. It’s the perfect option for eaters who love the taste of meat but want a more environmentally-friendly option.

Of course, if you’re a vegetarian because you actually hate the taste of meat, then you can stick with the quinoa-based VegeFi Burger.

There’s a lot of tasty items at BurgerFi that I didn’t mention in this article, but what’s mentioned above is the best food at BurgerFi, in my opinion.

The best BurgerFi menu items are the ones that seem classic at first but have a slightly different take on a more traditional item, such as adding ghost pepper honey to a spicy chicken sandwich or adding chopped onions to a breakfast burger.

Most of the items chosen have more robust, bolder flavors while still making sense. However, if you want a simpler item, you can always get a classic cheeseburger.

On the other hand, if you’re feeling a bit riskier, you can try something more unique like their Conflicted Burger that includes both Angus beef and a veggie patty.

Whatever you choose, I hope you enjoy your meal the next time you stop at BurgerFi!
