French cuisine is known around the world for its bold flavors, decadent ingredients, and beautiful presentation.

During a trip to France, I decided to visit the small town of Annecy. Annecy is close to the Swiss and Italian border. This beautiful town is nestled in the mountains and has an old-world feel.

I ate at several lovely restaurants while there, so check out my list of the best restaurants in Annecy below!

L’Esquisse is just south of the Centre Ville and the Annecy train station. It’s near the river and the lake, making it a great place to stop for a bite to eat while you explore this beautiful city.

L’Esquisse offers some incredible fine dining. The menu constantly rotates, so I recommend asking the attentive staff what they recommend.

Additionally, L’Esquisse has a top-notch wine cellar. A meal at this high-end establishment isn’t complete without a quality bottle of wine.

You can find Le Denti south of the Le Thiou River in the Les Balmettes neighborhood of Annecy. This restaurant is run by a couple that has a love for seafood.

It’s a favorite restaurant for locals and tourists alike. The menu features mostly fish, and the chefs use seasonal ingredients to keep the meals as fresh as possible.

The menu changes based on what is available, but some more popular dishes include the lake fish soup and filet of perch.

I loved the upscale atmosphere and the French-inspired decor. Pairing these elements with decadent food creates an unforgettable experience.
