Double Cheese Slider
The Double Cheese Slider, being one of the best food at White Castle, is perfect if you love the original slider but need a bit more bulk. It offers double the cheese, double the beef, and is so delicious. I think my favorite thing about the Double Cheese Slider is that you end up with the same amount of meat that you might get on a full-sized cheeseburger. The best part is that you get it without the overly-full feeling you get from a giant burger bun. You can pick from American, smoked cheddar, or jalapeño cheese, but I think the jalapeño makes this sandwich extra delicious. The smoked cheddar is a close second, though, so if you’re not into spicy foods, give that one a try.
Original Slider
I absolutely love White Castle’s bite-sized Original Slider. Its size and flavor remind me so much of the cheeseburgers I had during my childhood, which is why they’re a frequent go-to when I pay a visit. Since there’s no cheese, the Original Slider isn’t quite as filling, which is nice when I just want a quick snack with a bit of bulk. I’m especially fond of the Original Slider on the days I’m having a craving for White Castle’s Mozzarella Sticks. The Original Slider is an excellent choice because it leaves plenty of room to satisfy my need for fried cheese. So, ordering these two classic menu items together makes the perfect combination.
Bacon Cheese Slider
Even though the Original Slider is my favorite, the Bacon Cheese Slider is a close second. First, it has that perfect White Castle size. Second, it has bacon. Pretty much anything with bacon is an A+ in my book. Then, to top it off with cheese? Yes, please. When I want to get the most out of the bacon-y goodness, I like to add the smoked cheddar cheese. It brings out the hickory flavor in the bacon and gives the whole sandwich a smoky taste. However, if you’re not a fan of that double-smoky flavor, I highly recommend picking the jalapeno cheese. It goes perfectly with the bacon and beef.
Cheese Slider
Mini cheeseburgers are so much fun, and the Cheese Slider at White Castle is no exception. It has the juicy, tasty flavor of the Original Slider but with the added perk of cheese on top. So, if I ever get to the order counter and find myself hemming and hawing over which sandwich to order, I usually go for the Cheese Slider. Since I like to order this sandwich when I want something classic and no-fuss, I always go simple and just pick American as my cheese of choice. If you want the traditional cheeseburger taste, the Cheese Slider is definitely the way to go.
Chicken Ring Slider
Spicy chicken sandwiches are one of my favorite chicken sandwich variations. So, when I want a crispy chicken sandwich with a kick, I always pick the Chicken Ring Slider with jalapeño cheese. It satisfies every craving I have without leaving me that overly full feeling I get from chicken sandwiches at other restaurants. The chicken rings are also one of my favorite sides at White Castle, so having them in sandwich form makes this chicken sandwich even better. If spicy cheese isn’t for you, that’s fine. You truly can’t go wrong with the smoked cheddar or American cheese options.
Belgian Waffle Slider
The Belgian Waffle Slider is one of the best White Castle menu items and my favorite breakfast sandwich. It’s so tasty that I’ll drive out of my way to grab one on certain days. You get a choice of sausage or hickory smoked bacon, and of course, your pick of three kinds of cheese. Although you can’t go wrong with sausage, personally, I think the bacon combined with American cheese is a perfect complement to the sweetness in the waffle. The crunch that the bacon adds gives a nice change in texture, too. If you want a smokier flavor, you could pick the smoked cheddar cheese instead of American to give the sandwich an extra boost.
Breakfast Slider
For a classic breakfast sandwich, the Breakfast Slider is a great choice. You can pick either bacon or sausage, but I like how the sausage tastes combined with the egg and signature White Castle bun. Bacon is always a good choice, too, though. My cheese of choice is usually American because sometimes I just like to keep things simple. This sandwich is already so flavorful that you don’t need to add much to it. However, when I’m feeling a bit more adventurous or just need more of a wake-up, I’ll opt for spicy jalapeno cheese instead.
Chicken Rings
The White Castle Chicken Rings are such a great snack if you’re on the go or only have one hand free to eat. They’re crunchy, tasty, and filling, which makes them great if you need something to hold you over until dinner. You can add a side of fries to make them more of a meal if you want something quick and small. The only thing that can make the Chicken Rings better is adding a bun and some cheese. If you want the chicken rings but in a sandwich form, you should definitely check out the Chicken Ring Slider I mentioned above.
Fish Nibblers
If you grew up loving fish sticks, then you’d love White Castle’s Fish Nibblers. Made with white pollack and seasoned breading, they’re the perfect treat to remind you of a childhood favorite. The nostalgia is especially real once I start dipping them in ketchup. If you’re not a fan of dipping your fish in ketchup, though, don’t worry. These little guys are delicious all on their own. The only downside is that the Fish Nibblers are only available for a limited time in specific regions. But you should definitely check to see if your local White Castle offers them before they’re gone.
French Fries
A lot of fast-food restaurants have delicious fries. No matter what drive-thru I go through, I always get an order of fries. But White Castle’s French Fries are simply out of this world. They’re a perfect size, just salty enough, and have a delicious crunch. Plus, they’re the rarely-seen crinkle cut that makes standard fries taste so much better. In a fast-food world of shoe-string fries, White Castle’s are a welcome change.
Impossible Slider
The need for plant-based burger substitutes always seemed to be a problem with no solution. However, the Impossible Slider at White Castle proved that one meatless company finally got it right. I’ve never had an urge to go plant-free, but on a whim, I decided to try the Impossible Slider. Believe me, I was so happy I did. The Impossible Slider tastes just like the real thing, and the smoked cheddar made it extra tasty. And, because the plant-based burger patty is a bit lighter than beef, I had room for an additional slider and a side of curly fries.
Mozzarella Cheese Sticks
Mozzarella sticks are one of my biggest weaknesses. Anytime I go to a new restaurant that serves these heavenly melted cheese concoctions, I have to order some. White Castle is no exception. In fact, their mozzarella sticks are some of the best I’ve tasted, so I grab an order every time I go in. White Castle serves their mozzarella sticks with a side of marinara, which brings out the seasoning in the breading really well. If you’re not crazy about tomato sauce, though, don’t worry. The mozzarella sticks are just as delicious on their own.
Onion Chips
Now and then, I’m just not in the mood for fries to go with my Chicken Ring Slider. So on those (rare) occasions, I order up a side of Onion Chips instead. White Castle’s Onion Chips are tasty slivers of onion, breaded and deep-fried to crunchy, golden perfection. These little guys make a great snack on their own, but I enjoy having them as a side for one of my sliders. Sometimes, though, I like to get a bit creative with my White Castle meal and order a slider, then stack these delicious onion strips on top of the beef patty. It really takes the flavor of the beef to another level.
Savory Grilled Chicken Slider
The Savory Grilled Chicken Slider is a light and delicious mini chicken sandwich with marinated spiced Chicken. It’s definitely different from everything else on White Castle’s menu, which is why I like it so much. It pairs perfectly with a cold fountain drink and a side of crinkle-cut fries. You can get the Savory Grilled Chicken Slider as a combo, or you can add the grilled, marinated chicken breast to White Castle’s Bacon & Cheddar Chicken Slider. The cheese that complements the Savory Grilled Chicken the best is definitely the smoked cheddar, which is what I usually go for. If you want an added kick, though, you should try the jalapeno cheese.
Veggie Slider
If the Impossible Slider simply isn’t your thing, or you’re just in the mood for some zesty veggies, the Veggie Slider is perfect. As I mentioned earlier, I’ve never gone out of my way to include plant-based meals in my diet. But, that said, there’s just something about a robust veggie patty that you can’t replicate. The vegetables White Castle uses for its patties are full of flavor and aren’t too bulky, so there’s still room for a Cheesecake On-A-Stick or side of fries if you’re still a bit hungry once you’re done. Or, you could just order up another Veggie Slider and call it a day.
Chicken Bacon Waffle Slider
As soon as I saw the Chicken Bacon Waffle Slider on White Castle’s menu, I was sold. I didn’t need anyone to tell me how delicious it was or encourage me to try it. Any menu item that combines fried chicken, smoky bacon, and sweet waffles are guaranteed to be good. Of course, this was no exception. But the best part about this anytime-of-day sandwich is the country gravy that holds it all together. It has that creamy, savory goodness that you won’t find anywhere else. Combined, the ingredients in the Chicken Bacon Waffle Slider are the perfect mix of sweet and savory.
