When it comes to eating a delicious meal for less than $30, Applebee’s cannot be beaten. The famous 2 for $20 deal here at Applebee’s is one that everyone loves, including myself. You can choose from an amazing selection of entrees and pick 2 of them, plus an appetizer, for only $20. What’s not to love?

Applebee's Restaurant

Well, if you’re a bit indecisive like I am, picking from so many tasty options can be difficult, but I think I’ve got something that can help. I decided to try all of Applebee’s 2 for $20 menu items and rank them so all my fellow foodies out there can have an easier time deciding next time.

Right down below, you’ll find a list ranking all of Applebee’s best 2 for $20 menu items that I think you should try, so check it out and head down to your local Applebee’s right away!

Oriental Chicken Salad

Taking the number-one spot on my list is Applebee’s Oriental Chicken Salad. This is easily one of my favorite dishes on Applebee’s entire menu and the fact that it’s available with the 2 for $20 special is amazing.

What I love about the Oriental Chicken Salad is that it’s got all the fresh Asian greens that make it a slightly healthier option.

In addition to that, the Oriental Chicken Salad comes with crunchy rice noodles for an extra bit of texture. Definitely check this one out the next time you’re at Applebee’s.

Chicken Tenders Platter

Chicken Tenders are always a classic menu item to order when coming to eat at Applebee’s. If you like the Chicken Tenders, you’ll love the Chicken Tenders Platter even more, especially because it’s available on the 2 for $20 menu.

The Chicken Tenders Platter is a larger serving of chicken tenders than the standard Chicken Tenders Plate, but it’s the same delicious chicken. I love ordering this from the 2 for $20 menu when I’m feeling extra-hungry.

The platter also comes with their amazing coleslaw and some fries. Don’t forget the honey mustard!

Fiesta Lime Chicken

Next up is one of the most flavorful menu items that Applebee’s offers. The Fiesta Lime Chicken is always a fantastic choice, in my opinion, and I’d probably still order it even if I wasn’t going for the 2 for $20 special.

The Fiesta Lime Chicken is comes grilled and glazed with an incredible zesty lime sauce and some Mexican ranch dressing on top of it.

All that deliciousness then gets topped with a blend of cheddar cheeses, and the whole thing sits on a bed of crunchy tortilla strips with a side of Spanish rice and pico de gallo.

Classic Broccoli Chicken Alfredo

Up next, we have an Italian classic that never fails, the Classic Broccoli Chicken Alfredo. This dish is another one of the best Applebee’s 2 for $20 menu item because it’s got everything you could ever want in one dish.

My favorite part about ordering this from Applebee’s is that it comes with breadsticks. Who doesn’t love those?

The fettuccine and the creamy Alfredo are a match made in heaven, and when you throw that delicious grilled chicken on top, it’s the icing on the cake. Just be sure to grab a glass of wine to go with this one!

Classic Cheeseburger

It’s always hard to beat a good, old-fashioned cheeseburger, especially when it’s on Applebee’s 2 for $20 menu. The burgers here at Applebee’s are handcrafted and insanely tasty, so this is pretty much guaranteed to be a home run.

It all starts with a buttery brioche bun to house this gorgeous sandwich followed by lettuce, onion, tomato, and pickles.

You also get to pick your choice of 2 cheese slices to go on your burger. Of course, the cheeseburger fom Applebee’s also comes with French fries on the side. It’s perfect for both lunch and dinner.

Grilled Oriental Chicken Salad

The next menu item I want to talk about is the Grilled Oriental Chicken Salad. This salad is essentially the same as the classic Oriental Chicken Salad, except it has a relatively healthy twist in that the chicken is grilled, not fried.

I love this dish and when I found out that Applebee’s was featuring it on their 2 for $20 menu, I simply had to go get it.

It’s such a great deal, plus it has over 100 less calories than its fried chicken counterpart. It’s the perfect balance of refreshing greens with the crunch of almonds and savory flavor of grilled chicken.

Three Cheese Chicken Penne

Up next, we have one for the pasta-lovers out there. The Three Cheese Chicken Penne is absolutely splendid and it is guaranteed to fill you up too. I always order this when I come to Applebee’s for dinner and I’m looking at the 2 for $20 menu.

The Three Cheese Chicken Penne comes with penne, of course, covered in their rich, creamy parmesan cheese sauce followed by some juicy grilled chicken and bruschetta tomatoes.

As if all of that wasn’t perfect enough, you also receive one of their golden-brown breadsticks that’s been bruched with garlic butter and parsley.

Boneless Wings

Now, I’d like to mention one of the appetizer options that you can pick to come with your 2 for $20 meal.

The Boneless Wings are easily one of the most popular appetizers from Applebee’s, and for very good reason. I like to say they’re basically just chicken nuggets for adults, and who doesn’t love those?

It’s rare for me to ever start a meal at Applebee’s without ordering some Boneless Wings to get things going. I absolutely love the variety of sauces you can choose from like Classic Buffalo, Honey BBQ, and Garlic Parmesan.

Riblet Platter

Applebee’s has a Riblet Platter available on their 2 for $20 menu, depending on where you’re located, and it is an absolutely fantastic thing to order if you have the opportunity.

I love this riblets because they’re adorably mini, but you get plenty of them to fill you up.

The riblets come with fries on the side and your choice of sauce, including honey BBQ or Sweet Asian Chili, but you can also opt for no sauce at all. Unfortunately, when you order the Riblet Platter from the 2 for $20 menu, it does not come with coleslaw like it would otherwise.

Four Cheese Mac + Cheese With Honey Pepper Chicken Tenders

This next menu item is called the Four Cheese Mac + Cheese With Honey Pepper Chicken Tenders. This is a genius creation on Applebee’s part and I want to thank whomever was responsible for thinking of this recipe.

The Four Cheese Mac + Cheese With Honey Pepper Chicken Tenders consists of penne mac and cheese that’s topped with applewood smoked bacon and their crispy chicken tenders that have been tossed in their incredible honey pepper sauce.

As if that wasn’t enough, you also get a delectable breadstick to go with it all. This one definitely needs to be on your list of 2 for $20 menu items to try.

Bourbon Street Chicken & Shrimp

Up next, we have the Bourbon Street Chicken & Shrimp, so even if you’re nowhere near New Orleans, you can still enjoy some classic Cajun cuisine.

The Bourbon Street Chicken & Shrimp is the perfect blend of land and sea for your meal, not to mention it comes with Applebee’s famous garlic mashed potatoes.

The Bourbon Street Chicken & Shrimp consists of cajun-seasoned chicken and blackened shrimp served up in buttery garlic and parsley, still sizzling on a cast-iron platter. It also comes with sauteed mushrooms and onions for even more delicious flavor. This one is always a surefire meal.

Mozzarella Sticks

Mozzarella Sticks are a classic appetizer at any good restaurant, and Applebee’s is no exception

The Mozzarella Sticks are one of the greatest appetizers to choose from on Applebee’s 2 for $20 menu. They will have your appetite primed and ready for the main course, guaranteed.

Like an good mozzarella stick, the ones here at Applebee’s are deep-fried to a golden-brown perfection on the outside while keeping all of the tasty mozzarella cheese inside nice and melted. Don’t forget the dipping sauce, either. You can choose between their marinara or the house-made ranch dressing.

8 Oz. Top Sirloin

If you’re craving steak when you come visit Applebee’s, then you’re in luck. Applebee’s has an 8 Oz. Top Sirloin steak on their 2 for $20 menu and it’s one of the greatest deals around. You won’t find a cheaper steak dinner, if you ask me.

The 8 Oz. Top Sirloin steak from Applebee’s is USDA Select beef that arrives at your table cooked to absolute perfection, just the way you like it.

Not to mention, it comes with 2 delicious sides, including broccoli and garlic mashed potatoes. Check out the various steak toppers you can add as well.

Spinach and Artichoke Dip

The Spinach and Artichoke Dip from Applebees is absolutely perfect in every way if you want my opinion. This dip is the stuff of legends and I was so ecstatic when I found out that they included this on their 2 for $20 menu.

Applebee’s Spinach and Artichoke dip is the ultimate appetizer and it’s not even close. Sometimes I feel like I could just make a whole meal out of it.

The freshly made tortilla chips are so light and provide the perfect cruch with the spinach and artichoke dip. You won’t want to share this one.

Two Side Salads

Last, but not least, I want to suggest ordering Two Side Salads to replace your appetizer when you go for Applebee’s 2 for $20 menu.

I usually do this when I’m feeling slightly more health-conscious than usual because the calorie count is significantly lower for the Two Side Salads than it is for the other apps.

For your Two Side Salads, you can choose between the House Salad or the Caesar Salad. Both are delicious options, it just comes down to personal preference. I usually go for the House Salad, but only because it has less calories of the two.

Well, there you have it. These are what I consider to be the best items from Applebee’s 2 for $20 menu. Of course, the availability and price of these menu items may vary based on your location, so be sure to check ahead with your local Applebee’s first.
