15 Most Popular Rockstar Energy Drink Flavors

Rockstar has dominated the energy drink market for so long because its flavor lines range from cola to tropical.

Cans of Rock Star brand energy drinks

In addition, there are regular, juiced, whipped, and so many more. These energy drinks also come in various health variations like normal, sugar free, organic, and a few dairy products.

Knowing which flavor will meet your tastes and health needs can be challenging, so I have provided you with my top 15 Rockstar energy flavors based on my experience, health metrics, and ingredients.

All you have to do is sit back, crack open a cold energy drink, and feel good about the energy they will give you because I have done the rest!

Zero Carb

Rockstar’s Zero Carb flavor is a tasty mix of watermelon and raspberry flavors that I couldn’t get enough of!

I never thought about that flavor combination, but I am now a huge fan! It contains zero carbs and sugar with only 25 calories, so I didn’t feel guilty after drinking it.

In addition, I didn’t experience a crash afterward because of it being sugar free.

Flavor Features:

  • 240mg Caffeine
  • 25 Calories
  • Zero Sugar
  • BCAA Aminos
  • COQ10

Sugar Free

Rockstar’s Sugar Free flavor is the sugar free version of their original flavor.

The original flavor, to me, tasted like a mixture of ginger ale and cream soda. It tasted less sweet than other energy drinks, which was a big plus.

This flavor has 80mg less caffeine than most other flavors and isn’t as healthy due to carbs. If you are looking for an energy drink with less caffeine, this is the one I recommend.

Flavor Features:

  • 160mg Caffeine
  • 25 Calories
  • Zero Sugar
  • B Vitamins
  • Taurine and Guarana

Energy Cola

Rockstar’s Energy Cola flavor tastes exactly like Coca-cola, so if you usually drink Coke but need that extra pickup, then I recommend this flavor.

It has a nice spice flavor and leaves a great aftertaste, just like your favorite cola!

However, I did crash a bit more with this flavor due to having the highest sugar content of any flavor on this list.

Flavor Features:

  • 160mg Caffeine
  • 130 Calories
  • 66g Sugar
  • B Vitamins

Organic Island Fruit

Rockstar’s Organic Island Fruit is one of my favorite flavors due to the organic flavors used.

In addition, they are USDA certified, meaning you can trust that the ingredients used are organic.

On top of that, since this flavor is made from organic ingredients, contains no artificial sweeteners, and has no sugar, I didn’t crash as much as I did with a flavor like Energy Cola.

Flavor Features:

  • 160mg Caffeine
  • 100 Calories
  • 46g Sugar
  • Organic Ingredients

Xdurance Super Sour Green Apple

Rockstar’s Super Sour Green Apple flavor has the perfect balance of sweet and sour.

My initial sip was a kick in the mouth, but after multiple drinks, I could enjoy the sweet apple flavor.

This flavor comes at a whopping 300mg of caffeine, so do yourself a favor and pace yourself with a single can. I enjoyed the flavor and drank it so quickly that a large amount of caffeine made me jittery.

Flavor Features:

  • 300mg Caffeine
  • 10 Calories
  • Zero Sugar
  • BCCA Aminos
  • COQ10

Pina Colada

Rockstar’s Pina Colada flavor tasted more like fizzy pineapple juice than pina colada, but I still enjoyed it.

If you enjoy pineapple flavors as you would find in juice, I recommend this flavor. I mixed this with some fresh fruit to give it that extra boom of tastiness.

Flavor Features:

  • 160mg Caffeine
  • 260 Calories
  • 62g Sugar
  • 2% Juice
  • B-vitamins

Fruit Punch

Rockstar’s Fruit Punch flavor is a delicious melody of orange, cherry, lemon, and pineapple; I enjoyed it with a caveat.

Rockstar’s new blend appears less carbonated and tastes more like fruit juice than a fizzy drink.

If that doesn’t bother you, then I would recommend this site if a melody of fruit flavors is what you are after!

Flavor Features:

  • 240mg Caffeine
  • 260 Calories
  • 61g Sugar
  • Guarana
  • B-vitamins

PerfectBerry

Rockstar’s PerfectBerry tastes like fresh squeezed lemonade and is perfect for those hot summer days!

What I like most about this flavor is that it doesn’t leave the energy drink aftertaste or film in your mouth like other flavors.

Flavor Features:

  • 240mg Caffeine
  • Zero Calories
  • Zero Sugar
  • B-vitamins

Juiced Island Mango

Rockstar’s Juiced Island Mango flavor is part of their juiced line.

Flavors in this line contain more juice and ingredients than other flavors, so pay attention to our ingredient list to ensure it works for you.

I believe this is one of the best-tasting mango-flavored energy drinks I have tried to date.

Punched Hardcore Apple

Rockstar’s Punched Hardcore Apple flavor leans into the sweetness of a green apple compared to the sourness of the Xdurance Super Sour Green Apple flavor I spoke about earlier in this list.

By the end of the can, I decided that it reminded me of a lot of sparkling apple cider, which was a pleasant surprise!

Flavor Features:

  • 240mg Caffeine
  • 260 Calories
  • 61g Sugar
  • Guarana

Juiced Pineapple Orange Guava

Rockstar’s Juiced Pineapple Orange Guava flavor is a tropical explosion in your mouth!

I liked this one a lot because all three flavors were layered, so I enjoyed each one equally throughout the can.

The one benefit I found to Rockstar’s juiced flavors line is having less sugar and caffeine than other flavors, so there was less of a crash.

  • 170mg Caffeine
  • 30 Calories

Energy Boom Whipped Strawberry

Rockstar’s Energy Boom Whipped Strawberry flavor is part of their whipped line of flavors.

The whipped flavors are a dessert in a can as the dairy products are whipped and blended with a fruit flavor.

The strawberry version has the most delicious flavor out of the whipped line. Remember that the whipped line has the most sugar and calories of any other flavors I have discussed.

They also have the least amount of caffeine compared to other flavors. I recommend this flavor line to you if you are looking for a tasty treat with an extra punch to get you through your day.

Flavor Features:

Original

Rockstar’s Original flavor is the original gangster of the Rockstar line.

This flavor tastes exactly like its Sugar Free variation, which, to me, combines ginger ale and cream soda.

I recommend this flavor if you don’t like the extravagance of other flavors I have spoken about so far.

This variation has all of the good and bad (calories, sugar, etc…), so moderation is key.

The Original flavor is available in 8.4, 12, 16, and 24 fl oz cans, so you have plenty of sizing options.

Flavor Features:

  • 160mg Caffeine
  • 270 Calories

Energy Boom Whipped Orange

Rockstar’s Energy Boom Whipped Oranged flavor is another flavor in the whipped line.

I couldn’t believe the first drink that I took because it was exactly like eating an orange creamsicle.

  • 160mg Caffeine
  • 270 Calories
  • 63g Sugar
  • Guarana
  • B-vitamins
  • Whipped Flavor

Lime Freeze

It had a tart flavor that was an excellent counter to its sugar. I recommend you freeze it and make it a slushy drink for an extra treat.

Perfect pick-me-up treat to cool off during a summer day!

Lime Freeze is one of the milder flavors so you may like this over stronger, more robust flavors.

Flavor Features:

  • 160mg Caffeine
  • 200 Calories
  • 48g Sugar
