Jalapeño & Cheese Whataburger
The first item on my list of best things to order from Whataburger is the Jalapeno and Cheese Whataburger. This is the ultimate burger for me. It’s got all the delicious toppings and flavors of a regular Whataburger, except it has a little extra fire thanks to those spicy jalapeno slices. The Jalapeno and Cheese Whataburger reigns supreme when it comes to fast food burgers, if you ask me. Be sure to make it a Whatameal too so that you can get those hot, crispy fries and a refreshing drink to go with it to soothe the heat.
Onion Rings
Next up on my list are the Onion Rings. This side dish is so delicious that I felt it deserved to be an entry all on its own. The Onion Rings from Whataburger are deep-fried to a gold-brown, crispy perfection while maintaining the soft, sweet center inside. The Onion Rings make an absolutely perfect addition to any Whataburger meal like a burger, chicken sandwich, or anything else you can think of. Whataburger’s Onion Rings are so good that sometimes I’ll just get an order of those for a snack if I’m not in the mood for a whole meal.
Whatachick’n Sandwich
Next up is the Whatachick’n Sandwich, and this shouldn’d surprise anyone who has tried it before. Whataburger’s Whatachick’n Sandwich is absolutely phenomenal in my opinion, and it can stand up to all the other fast-food chicken sandwiches any day. The Whatachick’n Sandwich comes on a buttery brioche bun with lettuce, tomato, and the signature WhataSauce that really sets it off. I always opt for making it a Whatameal as well because I can never resist their French fries and a refreshing fountain drink. Definitely check this one out the next time you visit your local Whataburger.
Whatachick’n Strips
Next up, we have another chicken-based menu item called the Whatachick’n Strips. This one is ideal for anyone that’s not in the mood for a whole sandwich, but still wants to enjoy some delicious fried chicken from Whataburger. I love the Whatachick’n Strips because they are so crispy on the outside and tender on the inside with some absolutely unbeatable flavor. The Whatachick’n Strips also come with some delectable gravy to dip them in, as well as Texas Toast, but I still recommend making it a Whatameal, especially if you’re feeling a little bit extra-hungry.
Cinnamon Roll
If you were wondering when I was going to get to the dessert menu, then you’re going to going to enjoy this next menu item on my list. The classic Cinnamon Roll is always a winner and makes for the perfect sweet treat either on its own or to finish with after a delicious Whatameal. The Cinnamon Roll from Whataburger is sweet, cinnamony perfection that goes even better with a cup of hot coffee for breakfast. That’s when I usually find myself ordering one, but there’s really no wrong time for a fresh, hot Cinnamon Roll if you ask me.
French Fries
No matter what you order as your meal here at Whataburger, if you don’t get a side of fries to go with it, then you’ve done something wrong. The French Fries from Whataburger are some of my all-time favorite fast-food fries in existence. They are thin, crispy, and always taste freshly-made when I go there, so I don’t think these will disappoint you. The best part about Whataburger French Fries is that they offer a wide variety of dipping sauces to dip your fries in, including ranch, creamy pepper, buffalo sauce, and my personal favorite, the Spicy Ketchup.
Hot Apple Pie
In case the Whataburger Cinnamon Roll wasn’t enough to satiate your sweet tooth, then this next menu item might be enough to do it. The Hot Apple Pie from Whataburger is easily one of the best menu items you can order, day or night. The Hot Apple Pie that you can get from Whataburger is just as good, if not better, than any other fast-food apple pie out there if you ask me. It’s so warm and the cinnamon apples inside give you such a nice cozy feeling when you eat it. Bonus points if you’ve also got a cup of coffee to go with it.
Chicken Fajita Taco
This next one may come as a bit of a surprise considering it’s not a burger at all, but the Chicken Fajita Taco from Whataburger is a phenomenal menu item to try when you’re not in the mood for the same old sandwiches that you’ve been ordering when you come here. The Chicken Fajita Taco is fantastic in every way. It’s got a wonderful grilled chicken filet as the protein, complemented perfectly by their grilled onions and peppers, all wrapped in a soft tortilla wrap for a great handheld snack when you’re on the go.
Sweet & Spicy Bacon Burger
Next up is one of the burgers on Whataburger’s All-Time Favorites menu. This sandwich is the Sweet & Spicy Bacon Burger and it’s a medley of flavors that all work together so perfectly, you just need to try one for yourself. If you have already tried one, then you should understand why I love this one so much. The Sweet & Spicy Bacon Burger comes with 2 delicious, large beef patties, American cheese ad Monterey Jack cheese, 3 tasty bacon slices, grilled onions, sweet and spicy sauce, and mustard. There’s no other fast-food burger like it in my opinion.
Whataburger
Up next is the burger that started it all, a trip back to where Whataburger’s legendary status began, the Whataburger. Apparently, the name comes from the exclamation you make when you first see how big it is: “What a burger!” The classic Whataburger cannot be beaten, and I couldn’t rightfully make a list of the best Whataburger menu items without putting this on here somewhere. Compared to some of the other delicious things on this list, the regular Whataburger might seem a bit boring, but it’s always a great choice whenever you want a taste of the classics.
Whataburger Patty Melt
The next menu item I want to recommend to you is the Whataburger Patty Melt. You can find this sandwich on Whataburger’s All-Time Favorites menu, and for very good reason. The Whataburger Patty Melt is the ultimate sandwich melt if you ask me. The Whataburger Patty Melt consists of 2 large beef patties on thick slices of tasty Texas Toast with 2 slices of deliciously melted Monterey Jack cheese, grilled onions, and their amazing creamy pepper sauce. You won’t find this anywhere else, so definitely check this sandwich out the next time you happen to visit Whataburger.
Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit
Up next is a personal favorite of mine, the Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit. There are days where I will wake up craving this for breakfast. Whenever that happens, I hop in the car and head straight to Whataburger to indulge, assuming it’s between 11 AM and 11 PM while they’re still serving breakfast. The Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit is elegant in its simplicity and exceeds expectations every time. The salty crunch of the fried chicken is complemented beautifully with the smooth honey butter sauce and it’s all held together by a delicious, buttery biscuit.
Avocado Bacon Burger
Up next is a rather interesting creation by Whataburger that actually turned out to be incredibly tasty when I tried it. The Avocado Bacon Burger is definitely one to consider the next time you come to Whataburger and you’re in the mood to try something a bit different than usual. As the name suggests, the Avocado Bacon Burger has both creamy avocado and savory bacon on it, so you get that perfect combination of flavors on top of the Whataburger patty that you know and love. Not only that, but the Avocado Bacon Burger is served on Texas Toast and comes with tomatoes, diced onion, and creamy pepper sauce.
Bacon & Cheese Whataburger
This next Whataburger menu item that I want to mention is none other than the classic Bacon and Cheese Whataburger. The Bacon and Cheese Whataburger is the classic Whataburger that’s been kicked up a notch with some delicious American cheese and salty, savory bacon strips. Like the classic Whataburger, the Bacon and Cheese Whataburger comes with all the fixings that make their burgers so tasty, including lettuce, tomato, pickles, diced onions, and mustard. Whenever I order this one, I make sure to put some spicy ketchup on there as well, but avocado is another great topping to add.
Breakfast on a Bun
Breakfast on a Bun is the next Whataburger menu item I’m going to recommend and this one cannot be beaten. When you need a quick, handheld breakfast, or late-night snack, this one is the supreme choice in my opinion. The Breakfast on a Bun sandwich comes with a breakfast sausage patty, egg, and a slice of American cheese on a small bun. If you’re thinking about ordering this one, I strongly suggest making it a Whatameal so that you get the hash browns with it, as well as fresh cup of hot coffee. It’s the perfect start to any day.
Mushroom Swiss Burger
Next up is the Mushroom Swiss Burger from the All-Time Favorites menu here at Whataburger. This one is a no-brainer, especially since it’s one of their All-Time Favorites, so you know it has to be tasty. The Mushroom Swiss Burger consists of 2 large beef patties on a large bun, topped with melted, delicious American Swiss cheese as well as fire-roasted mushrooms, and finished off with their delectable, creamy au jus sauce. Complete your meal with fries and a drink and you’re all set. It’s easy to see why this one is considered one of their All-Time Favorites.
Double Meat Whataburger
Last, but certainly not least, is the Double Meat Whataburger. This is one of my usual go-to orders because it’s just like the classic Whataburger, except for the fact that it has 2 large beef patties instead of just one. This one is a great choice for when you want to experience the original Whataburger, but you need it to be a bit heartier to really keep you full and satisfied. While it’s not quite as gargantuan as the Triple Meat Whataburger, I often find that it presents the perfect middle ground between the three burgers.
