Chocolate lovers can find their favorite Starbucks mocha with this list

No matter where you live, you’ve probably stopped at your local Starbucks for a tasty drink or a quick snack more than once. With a variety of flavors and endless drink combinations, Starbucks is one of the most popular coffee shops in the world, and for good reason.

From a small black coffee to a venti caramel crunch frappe, Starbucks has something for everybody. If you love chocolate, there are delicious Starbucks mocha drinks from super sweet options to lighter drinks!

If you’re like me, stopping at Starbucks means picking up something sweet and sugary. I tend to gravitate towards a Mocha, which is the flavor made with combined coffee and chocolate.

It is a favorite of Starbucks lovers worldwide and can be mixed with countless other flavors and syrups to create the perfect drink for you.

In this article, we’ll take a look at some of Starbucks’ most ordered mocha drinks and discuss what makes them so delicious. Let’s see which of the best Starbucks mocha drinks will have you heading for the drive-thru. 

White Chocolate Mocha

The White Chocolate Mocha at Starbucks is a mouthwatering combination of espresso, white chocolate mocha syrup, and the milk of your choice.

Since Starbucks has a syrup for the white chocolate mocha, there is no need to add more mocha flavoring to my drink.

Starbucks offers the drink in four sizes, and I personally never say no to a chance to add whip. 

The white chocolate mocha is made of milk, white chocolate mocha sauce, two shots of brewed espresso, whipped cream, and vanilla syrup.

If you buy the grande mocha (16 fl oz), it contains 430 calories. 

Salted Caramel Cream Mocha Cold Brew

Perfect for a hot day, the salted caramel cream cold brew is made with ice, brewed coffee, salted caramel cream, and two pumps of vanilla syrup.

To make it a mocha, I order my salted caramel cream cold brew with two pumps of mocha sauce instead of vanilla syrup. 

The grande size salted caramel cream cold brew will have 220 calories, which I think is significantly less than most other grande-sized drinks.

The salted caramel cream cold brew has 24 grams of sugar, 2 grams of protein, and 185 milligrams of caffeine. The cold brew also comes in Venti and Trenta sizes.

Toasted White Chocolate Mocha

The toasted white chocolate mocha is an in-demand Starbucks drink, especially around the holiday season.

It is made with four pumps of toasted white chocolate mocha sauce, embellished with holiday sugar sprinkles, and topped with whip cream.

It’s no surprise why this drink would get me in the holiday spirit. 

The toasted white chocolate mocha is one of the more sugary Starbucks drinks, with 55 grams of sugar in each 16 fl ounce serving.

The ingredients include two pumps of sauce, whatever steamed milk I choose (usually soy), two shots of brewed espresso, whipped cream, and holiday sugar sparkles with crispy white pearls. 

Caffè Mocha

The Caffè Mocha is a classic version of a mocha drink.

Starbucks combines its rich, full-bodied espresso with mocha sauce, steamed milk, and whip cream to make a tasty, sweet drink that leaves a lasting impression.

In the grande size, a caffè mocha contains 370 calories and 35 grams of sugar. 

The caffè mocha is made with four pumps of mocha sauce to give it a full-flavored taste. The standard size of the drink has two espresso shots and 175 milligrams of caffeine.

The caffè mocha is one of the healthier drinks in terms of protein, with 14 total grams.

Peppermint Mocha Latte

For another holiday drink, the Peppermint Mocha Latte is a combination of the popular Peppermint Mocha and Starbucks ’ classic Latte.

The drink mixes decadent cocoa and creamy minty sweetness with steamed milk and mocha sauce.

Made with 100% Arabian coffee and real milk, this drink is a treat regardless of the season. 

Since the demand was so high during the regular season, Starbucks turned their famous Peppermint Mocha Latte into an instant coffee packet.

I buy the Via peppermint mocha latte from my local Starbucks. Just add hot water and enjoy a little taste of the holidays all year round.

Cookies and Cream Cold Brew

The Cookies and Cream cold brew is another drink from Starbucks not-so-secret-menu.

It’s made by adding mocha sauce and other flavors to the Starbucks venti sweet cream cold brew.

When I’m ordering from the secret menu, I list out each ingredient or order through the app so my barista can make me the correct drink. 

The drink contains brewed coffee instead of espresso shots.

I ask for the venti sweet cream cold brew with only two pumps of vanilla, then ask for four pumps of white chocolate and two pumps of mocha, and mocha cookie crumbles for the top. 

Black and White Mocha

Though it might sound complicated, the Black and White Mocha is one of Starbucks’ most simple mocha drinks.

It’s made with white chocolate mocha and regular mocha sauce, whipped cream, steamed milk, and espresso.

Together they make a swirled holiday drink that’s well-known for its sweet taste. 

The Black and White Mocha has 430 calories, 17 grams of fat, and 50 grams of sugar, but it also has 15 grams of protein and 2 grams of dietary fiber.

The grande size of the mocha has two full espresso shots 165 milligrams of caffeine. The drink comes with chocolate sprinkles on top.  

Java Chip Frappuccino

The Java Chip Frappuccino is one of Starbucks’ most well-known blended drinks.

The ice cream-like drink is made by blending two pumps of mocha sauce, three pumps of Starbucks frappuccino roast, whole milk, and crunchy Frappuccino chips.

It is then topped off with sweetened whip cream and mocha drizzle.

Altogether, it has 440 calories, making it one of Starbucks ‘ sweeter drinks on the menu.

This sweet chocolatey frappuccino is a long-standing favorite, however, offering a delicious chocolate and coffee blended flavor.

Chocolate Mousse Macchiato

The Chocolate Mousse Macchiato is another drink from the Starbucks vault and only lives on the secret menu.

It’s made from modifying the chain’s iced venti Caramel Macchiato and is not only sweet but very pretty once it’s poured into a cup. The drink is made with half and half (breve), which makes it quite rich and creamy. 

Once I’ve ordered an iced venti Caramel Macchiato, I ask for the white mocha sauce instead of vanilla syrup and caramel drizzle instead of mocha drizzle.

I also ask for mocha cookie crumbles for my topping. And there you have it, the Chocolate Mousse Macchiato.

Iced Mocha

The iced mocha is a perfect drink for summer.

This is simply the iced version of the classic caffe mocha! It’s made with ice, mocha sauce, espresso, and milk.

The grande size typically comes with 2 shots of espresso and 4 pumps of mocha sauce, making it a great caffeine kick to start your day. 

The iced mocha is a simple but delicious option to get your coffee and mocha flavor all in one.

It’s lighter than some of the other options on the menu, and you can substitute your preferred milk.

It comes with whipped cream, but you can go without it if you’re looking to cut calories.

Peppermint Mocha Frappuccino

The blended beverage of the holiday season, the Peppermint Mocha Frappuccino brings all the cheer of the holidays into one delectable cup.

Made with whole milk, Starbucks frappuccino roast, whip cream, and chocolate curls, it’s hard to think of a more Santa-friendly drink than this one.

Thankfully, Starbucks serves the Peppermint Mocha Frappuccino year-round at most locations. 

The drink has 430 calories, 63 grams of sugar, and 16 grams of fat.

It’s made with three pumps of Starbucks frappuccino roast, two pumps of mocha sauce, two pumps of peppermint syrup, and Starbucks sweet dark chocolate curls on top.

Skinny Mocha

A Skinny Mocha is the healthiest mocha drink Starbucks has on the menu.

Light and only slightly sweetened, this version of a mocha is made with Starbucks skinny mocha syrup and only has 170 calories per grande serving size.

It’s also made with nonfat milk to reduce as much fat as possible. 

The Skinny Mocha has 15 grams of sugar, 14 grams of protein, 1.5 grams of fat, and 150 milligrams of caffeine, making it Starbucks’ lightest mocha by far.

Lightly topped with milk foam, the drink is perfect for when I want something slightly sweet on the go. 

Strawberry Cheesecake Frappuccino

In some Asian countries, Starbucks makes the Strawberry Cheesecake Frappuccino.

For those of us living in the US, this is a drink on Starbucks’ secret menu.

Because it is not on the main menu and the barista may not be familiar with it, I order the drink by listing the ingredients.

It is made by combining white chocolate mocha syrup and cinnamon dolce syrup with fresh strawberries, milk, and vanilla. 

Starbucks does not serve the strawberry cheesecake frappuccino in the United States, but that shouldn’t stop you from trying it, too.

I order the cheesecake frappe with graham cracker crumbles, so ask your barista the next time you’re feeling adventurous!
