Bacon Cheeseburger

Taking the number-one spot on my list is none other than an unbeatable classic, the Bacon Cheese Burger from Five Guys. Bacon cheeseburgers are always a delicacy in my opinion, but Five Guys has really perfected theirs.  The Bacon Cheese Burger from Five Guys is incredible. You get two of their delicious patties that are fresh from the grill on a  soft, toasted bun to form the base. On top of that comes the Kraft American cheese and two strips of tasty applewood smoked bacon.  The only things you need to make this masterpiece any better are the toppings of your choice.

Up next on my list of best Five Guys menu items is their Bacon Cheese Dog. This hot dog is one of the best fast food dogs out there, if you ask me.  The Bacon Cheese Dog is an all-beef hot dog that they slice lengthwise and then grill to perfection. It then gets topped with melty, goey Kraft American Cheese and a heaping mound of delicious applewood smoked bacon.  If that wasn’t enough, you can also add all the toppings you want. Sometimes I really load mine up with grilled onions, relish, jalapeno peppers, and whatever else I can fit.

Grilled Cheese

This next menu item from Five Guys that I want to point your attention towards is the Grilled Cheese. This might seem a bit strange coming from a burger joint like Five Guys, but trust me, it’s actually really tasty.  A good, old-fashioned grilled cheese is downright comforting in my opinion, especially if you’ve got a cup of tomato soup to go with it. You won’t find any soup here at Five Guys, but their Grilled Cheese is just as good on its own.  It’s pretty simple, just two slices of Kraft American cheese between an inside-out sesame bun that’s grilled to a golden perfection.

Hamburger

Next up is a menu item that some may find a bit boring, but I personally enjoy it from time to time. The plain Hamburger is a great thing to order from Five Guys, especially if you’re someone who doesn’t eat cheese.  The Hamburger consists of the same hand-formed beef patties that Five Guys uses for all of their famous burgers, but for this one, they simply leave out the Kraft American cheese.  The best part of this burger is that, just like any other burger, you can pile it high with toppings without the flavor of cheese overpowering them.

Bacon Burger

Keeping with that same vein of cheeseless deliciousness, I want to introduce another great option for those who shy away from eating cheese, or anyone who simply doesn’t prefer it.  I am talking about the Bacon Burger and this is one you really don’t want to miss. It’s basically the exact same thing as the Hamburger I’ve just mentioned, but they add on two crispy, applewood smoked bacon strips.  Whenever I order this one, I tend to add barbecue sauce and green peppers to it and maybe some onions as well for a really nice burst of flavor.

Bacon Dog

The Bacon Dog is further proof that you don’t need cheese for a delicious meal. In fact, it looks like all you need is bacon and a tasty, all beef hot dog from Five Guys to get you all set up.  This hot dog from Five Guys is just like the Bacon Cheese Dog, except it doesn’t have cheese. Don’t worry, though, it’s still perfectly caramelized on the outside and piled high with savory, applewood smoked bacon.  I always recommend topping this one with jalapenos, green peppers, grilled onions, and whatever else you can pack on to it.

BLT

The BLT sandwich from Five Guys was an unlikely contender to make my list. Until I tried one, that is. This sandwich really blew me away when I ordered it, and I really think you shouldn’t overlook this one.  The BLT from Five Guys comes with six strips of their incredibly delicious bacon, two juicy tomato slices, mayo, and hand-shredded lettuce on top of a soft, toasty sesame bun.  What I love about the BLT is that it’s not as heavy as a Bacon Cheese Dog or a Bacon Cheese Burger, so it’s great for just a light lunch or something.

Cajun Fries

If you thought I was going to leave fries off of my list, you are so wrong. The Cajun Fries at Five Guys are absolutely incredible and I could eat them for days.  What makes these fries so amazing is that they’re covered in a wonderful Cajun spice that will have you feeling like you just wandered off and ended up somewhere in Louisiana. They’re spicy and peppery, but not too overpowering, so I absolutely love them.  If you’re a fan of Cajun food and spicy things, then these fries are for you. Don’t forget the ketchup to cool them down!

Cheese Dog

A Cheese Dog is always a great menu item to order from Five Guys. It does seem like most people opt for the Bacon Cheese Dog, but I think there’s definitely something to be said about this one.  The regular Cheese Dog comes with the same delicious, all-beef hotdog that’s been split lengthwise and grilled to perfection, and it comes topped with the same mound of Kraft American cheese, but they leave off the bacon.  This option is great because it’s almost 100 calories less than a Bacon Cheese Dog. Definitely something to consider if you’re counting calories.

Cheese Veggie Sandwich

The Cheese Veggie Sandwich is a fantastic vegetarian option for anyone dining at or ordering from Five Guys. I even love this one myself, and I would consider myself an omnivore.  The Cheese Veggie Sandwich is composed of grilled mushrooms and green peppers on a toasted sesame bun to form the base. On top of that, you get lettuce, tomato, and two slices of tasty Kraft American cheese.  You also have the option with starting with just the bun and cheese to build your own custom veggie sandwich. This is not a veggie burger, though, to clarify.

Cheeseburger

Now, for the ultimate classic. The OG. The Cheeseburger. It’s been copied and changed many times, but there’s something about the original, no-frills Cheeseburger that will always have a special place in my heart. Five Guys makes an amazing Cheeseburger, of course. After all, it’s what they started off making way back when. The Cheeseburger consists of two hand-formed beef patties and two Kraft American cheese slices on a sesame bun.  What makes it really special, however, is what you top it with. You can choose as many toppings as you want, but sometimes I just like ketchup and mustard.

Veggie Sandwich

Since we’ve already covered the Cheese Veggie Sandwich, the Veggie Sandwich should be a no-brainer for anyone that doesn’t include cheese in their diet.  This is actually a great vegan option for anyone coming to Five Guys that doesn’t eat animal products. It comes with grilled mushrooms and green peppers with fresh lettuce and juicy tomatoes on top.  Like the Cheese Veggie Sandwich, you can build your own custom Veggie Sandwich as well. This one is also not a veggie burger. Unfortunately, Five Guys has not entered the veggie burger game yet.

Fries

If the Cajun Fires were a little much for you, then this should do the trick. After all, sometimes you just need to get back to basics. Five Guys makes some of my all-time favorite fast-food fries, even if theye’re not seasoned.  What makes these so amazing is that they’re boardwalk-style fries that get fried in 100% cholesterol-free peanut oil not once, but twice. They’re hand-cut and simply unbeatable. If you visit Five Guys and leave without trying some of their Fries, then you have made a mistake and you should probably turn around and head back for some.

Hot Dog

Another plain Jane classic that I love to order from Five Guys is a Hot Dog. No bacon, no cheese, just a good, old-fashioned hot dog. This one is such a classic, but one is never enough for me.  It’s the same Hot Dog that’s used for their other variations, sliced lengthwise and grilled in signature Five Guys style, but without the extra cheese and bacon. The good news about this is that it leaves room for lots and lots of toppings.  I load my Hot Dog to the absolute brim, and you should do the same in my opinion.

Little Bacon Cheeseburger

Source: Eat This Much

Last, but not least, is the Little Bacon Cheese Burger. This Five Guys menu item is as adorable as it is delicious. It’s seriously the perfect thing to order if you’re not really that hungry but you still want Five Guys. I’m not sure if this was intended to be a kids menu item, but I don’t care because I order it all the time. It’s the perfect solution for still being able to eat Five Guys while cutting down on calories.  The Little Bacon Cheeseburger is less than 700 calories whereas a standard bacon cheeseburger sits at over 1000, so you can still have your favorite burger, just downsized a bit.
