1. Gingerbread Trifle with Caramel and Bourbon Cream

Gingerbread Trifle

Trifle is one of my favorite desserts to make during the holiday season. Layers of warmly spiced gingerbread cake are piled into a trifle dish with heaps of homemade bourbon whipped cream, crunchy pecans and juicy pomegranate seeds then drenched in a luscious blanket of gooey caramel sauce. The result is nothing short of stunning. You could make the gingerbread a day ahead to make things easier or cheat with a box of gingerbread mix. This trifle will be a definite hit at your Christmas Eve or Christmas Day feast. Get the recipe
