The only thing better than a nice glass of wine is drinking that glass of wine at a winery. There is nothing quite like visiting a winery and trying out the wines that the winery makes.

Visiting a winery is so much more than just enjoying the wine. You will also learn about the grapes used, their winemaking process, and how the region lends itself to grape cultivation. Plus, most wineries look great and are in beautiful locations.

Each of these wineries creates a variety of red, wine, and sparkling wines. Many of them also make Rose.

I love visiting wineries all over the US with my friends. Throughout these adventures, I’ve created a list of the best wineries in the US.

Each of these wineries makes outstanding wine, and you will have a wonderful time visiting.


Folktale Winery

You will find Folktale Winery in the beautiful Carmel Valley in Central California.

A group of creatives, artists, and lovers of wine created this winery in 2015. The concept inspires the winery and the wine that each bottle has a story to tell.

Each bottle has its history, the weather that grew the wine, and the winemaking craftsmanship.

This story extends to when you share a bottle of Folktale wine with a friend. Folktale wants to be a part of that story.

The Folktale tasting room is open every day from 10:30 am to 5 pm, and they offer wine tastings for $25 per person. 

I had a wonderful time visiting Folktale Winery. Not only is the wine excellent, but the location is lovely. I love their sparkling brut.


Wolffer Estate

You will find the gorgeous Wolffer Estate on the east end of Long Island.

Wolffer is one of the most famous wineries on Long Island, and for a good reason.

The Wolffer Estate vineyard produces award-winning wines. They offer a wide variety of red, white, and rosé wines.

You can visit Wolffer Estate for a wine tasting every day from 11 am to 7 pm. The wine tastings are $28 per person and include six different wines.

I visit Wolffer Estate every summer, and it has quickly become one of my favorite places.

I highly recommend visiting and trying out their rosé wine. It is delicious.

If you are in upstate New York, I highly encourage you to stop by at Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery for a tasting and some bottles of wine.

Even if you are not in the area, I promise the drive is worth it.

Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery is in the Finger Lakes region of New York. The area is known for its beautiful lakes, hiking trails, and fantastic wineries.

The winery was founded in 1962 by Dr. Konstantin Frank. He was a Ukrainian immigrant who had a passion for winemaking.

Dr. Frank believed the Finger Lakes region was perfect for growing grapes and making wine.

The Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery is open daily from 10 am to 5 pm. They offer wine tastings for $15 per person, including six different wines.

I had a fantastic time visiting Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery. The wine was outstanding, and the staff was incredibly knowledgeable. I would highly recommend visiting if you are in the area.

If you find yourself in Napa Valley, stop by Tank Garage. This unique winery is in an old gas station from the 1920s.

The building has been completely renovated and includes a tasting room, a gift shop, and a barrel room.

The owners of Tank Garage were inspired by the growth of the wine industry in Napa Valley and wanted to create a unique experience for visitors.

Tank Garage offers wine tastings every day from 10 am to 6 pm. The tasting fee is $20 per person and includes six different wines.

I had a great time visiting Tank Garage. The wine was fantastic, and the location was excellent. I would recommend stopping by if you are in the area.


Jacuzzi Family Vineyards

Jacuzzi Family Vineyards is a family-owned and operated winery in Sonoma Valley, California.

The Jacuzzi family has been making wine in Sonoma Valley for over three generations.

The vineyard was first planted in 1884 by Giacomo Jacuzzi, the current owners’ great-grandfather. The Jacuzzi family has been making wine at the vineyard since 1969.

The winery is open every day from 10 am to 5 pm. They offer wine tastings for $15 per person, including six different wines.

I had a great time visiting Jacuzzi Family Vineyards. The wine was outstanding, and the staff was amicable. I would recommend stopping by if you are in the area.

Analemma Wines is a small, family-owned winery in Hood River, Oregon.

The winery was founded in 2006 by the husband and wife team, Nate and Anne Marie Stephens.

The couple started making wine as a hobby and quickly fell in love with it. They decided to turn their passion into a business and began Analemma Wines.

Analemma Wines is open every day from 11 am to 5 pm. They offer wine tastings for $10 per person and the opportunity to try six different wines.

I recommend the 2020 Mosier Hills Albarino and the 2019 Mosier Hills Menica Rose.

The fresh fruit notes in both wines are fantastic and were a nice change-up from other wines.


Francis Ford Coppola Winery

They offer wine tastings for $35 per person, with the chance to try six different wines.

I had a fantastic time visiting Francis Ford Coppola Winery. The wine was excellent, and the staff was amiable. I would recommend stopping by if you are in the area.

If you want an excellent wine-tasting experience, check out one of these fantastic wineries! My favorite wines are the Eleanor Red Wine and the Archimedes.

Not only do they have great names, but they taste great too. They have great deals on bulk orders.


Chateau Montelena

Chateau Montelena is a historic winery located in Napa Valley, California. The winery was founded in 1882 by Alfred Tubbs.

The winery is best known for its 1973 Chardonnay, which won the 1976 Paris Tasting.

This event put Napa Valley on the map as a premier wine-producing region.

Chateau Montelena is open every day from 10 am to 4:30 pm. They offer wine tastings for $35 per person, which includes six different wines.

I had a great time visiting Chateau Montelena. The staff was amicable and knowledgeable. I feel like I learned a lot about different types of grapes from visiting this winery. I highly recommend Merlot and Malbec.

Force Majeure is one of the best wineries in the US. This winery produces premium quality wine crafted by Todd Alexander, and the winery prides itself on outstanding cultivation and winemaking.

You can taste their commitment to quality in each sip. If you are even in Walla Walla, Washington, this winery is worth a visit. I guarantee you will leave with several bottles of wine.

Due to the limit of wine they produce each year, you don’t know what will be available. The limited production runs make visiting this winery a bit of an adventure.


Croteaux Vineyards

Croteaux Vineyards is a family-owned and operated winery in the North Fork of Long Island, New York.

The winery is open from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend. They offer wine tastings for $15 per person, and the price includes the time to try six different wines.

I visited Croteaux Vineyards for the first time this past summer, and I loved it. The wine was fantastic, and the staff was amicable. I recommend stopping by if you are in the area.

If you love rose, this is the winery for you. They specialize in dry, fruity rose. I had never tried this type of wine before visiting Croteaux Vineyards, and it quickly became a personal favorite.


Kramer Vineyards

Kramer Vineyards is a family-owned and operated winery in Oregon’s Willamette Valley.

The winery is open from April to November. They offer wine tastings for $10 per person, and includes six different wines to try.

I visited Kramer Vineyards for the first time last year, and I loved it. The wine was fantastic, and the staff was knowledgeable.

They taught me a lot about the winemaking process. I love their sparkling wines and highly recommend them.

The winery is open from May to October. They offer wine tastings for $15 per person, and each tasting covers the chance to try six wines.

I visited Oeno Winery for the first time this past summer and loved it. The wine was fantastic, and the staff. Oeno Winery is one of the best wineries in the US due to its sheer volume of high-quality wine.

The winery is open every day from 10 am to 5 pm. They offer wine tastings for $25 per person and, covered under the price, is the opportunity to taste six wines.

I visited Alta Colina for the first time this past year, and I loved it. The wine was fantastic, and the staff was amiable.

Their team went out to teach me about the wine growing process. I highly recommend their Cabernet Sauvignon.
