Fare Well is a “retro chic” casual dining restaurant that offers patio dining as well as takeout. They offer brunch on the weekends, all day breakfast during the week, and entrees. The Ginger Glazed “steak” tips are absolutely delicious, and the Cheesy Mac is a dish to order every time. Located within select Whole Foods stores across the Washington, D.C., area, Plnt Burger is one restaurant not to be missed. Plnt Burger is – you guessed it – entirely plant based! One of the fan favorite locations is their Tyson’s Corner location, for their spacious rooftop patio. While all locations of Plnt Burger are fast casual, this location allows friends to gather in a relaxed environment. One of their menu items not to miss – the “Chik-n-fuguy” sandwich. This sandwich is the “food waste success story” of Plnt Burger – they use oyster mushroom stems, a part of the mushroom that is less often used, and they have created a sandwich that is too spectacular to leave out. If Plnt sounds familiar to you, it might be because Celebrity Chef Spike Mendelshon is one of the co-founders. Chef Spike is active on social media, and often promotes sustainability and has taken a stand against food waste.

VegZ is a casual restaurant that serves up Indian inspired vegetarian cuisine. Their menu offers a large selection of dishes. The Broccoli and Grated Coconut is a unique dish that is a must try. The Shahi Paneer, grated cheese with a cashew sauce, is oh so creamy and perfect with the balsamic rice that is served with the dish. This vegetarian restaurant is a fan favorite. Rania’s Love is a casual and comfortable restaurant that is welcoming to vegetarians and meat eaters alike. There are many Vietnamese dishes that vegetarians can now enjoy, all at Rania’s Love. Their Spring Rolls are made with a pork meat substitute, and are just as crispy and delicious as their meat filled counterparts. Rania’s Love offers takeout and delivery options.
