Each juicy bite melts in your mouth and leaves you wanting more. You can find KD’s off of Garden City Highway in a quaint little red shack.

They have delicious sides to accompany their smoked meats and barbecue. My favorite side dish was the potato salad.

The flavors are intense, and you can also stop at the self-serve bar and grab pickles, beans, barbecue sauce, or peppers to complement your meal.

The decor is fun and light, and they have a patio and sports bar as well. If you want some of the best barbecue in all of Texas, drop in on servers at KD’s!

The atmosphere is festive but still casual and inviting. They have lunch specials on weekdays from 11 am-3 pm. I knew I had to try this place because I love authentic Mexican cuisine

My favorite dishes were the Enchilada-taco and the Grande Burrito.

I wandered around West Ridge Park, near the outlet, and I came across Clear Springs Restaurant. The decor is rustic with high ceilings and large wood support beams. You feel like you’re going into an old-fashioned tavern.

The vibes are warm and communal, and the western theme makes for an enjoyable experience. The cuisine is traditional down south staples. They have happy hour from 4-7 on weekdays, and the drinks are incredibly delicious.

I liked the Jalapeno Crawfish Chowder and their famous American fried catfish; both were cooked exceptionally well. The service was also impeccable.

I would return to try more dishes. You should go if you have the time if you want fresh food and hospitality.

Grub Burger Bar can get summed up in one word: amazing! The portions are enormous, and the quality isn’t lacking whatsoever. They have some of the best and crispiest fries I’ve ever had from a burger joint.

They bake their buns fresh every hour, and they also have vegetarian options and options for those with allergies. All the sauces are homemade, and you can taste that!

Grub Burger has an extensive drink menu, and the Spicy Pineapple Rita was the highlight of my night. I chose the Bacon Love burger, which was juicy and cooked perfectly to my liking. My friend had the Maverick and couldn’t stop talking about it.

If you’re near University Lands, stop by Grub Burger!

Taco diVino is a cash-only upscale taco eatery serving up creative gourmet tacos. The restaurant is near Ratliff Park, with a few shops surrounding it.

The servers were very patient and willing to make recommendations. The tacos are also huge, and there’s so much coming in each handmade tortilla. The veggies and different salsas were so fresh and light.

I noticed the bar was stocked with a nice selection of beer and wine. Aside from the excellent service and delightful coconut shrimp tacos, I enjoyed the casual atmosphere.

I highly recommend the Mexican corn; it was incredible. They also had live music, which made the experience even more pleasant.

Near Wadley heights, in what resembles a strip mall, you’ll find Ray’s Italian Bistro. Be advised that this establishment allows you to BYOB (bring your own booze)!

That was unique and appreciated, as I had a bottle of Chianti that I had been dying to try! Ray’s specializes in baked pasta, comfort foods, and gourmet pizzas. I tried the stuffed avocado for an appetizer and the tortellini marinara for my entree.

Both were great, and I could tell the pasta was made by hand. I heard quite a few people order the Baked Eggplant Parmigiana, so that’s on my list for the next time! Ray’s honestly has some of the best Italian you’ll find in Midland, visit if you can!

Where to get food in Midland? Scotty’s Soulfood! It’s near Orchard Lane and a few other restaurants. It has bright red painted brick and an old-fashioned brown wooden door.

They have some of the best comfort food in the business. The sides are particularly delicious. My favorite side dishes were the Mac and cheese, cabbage, candied yams, and collard greens.

The chicken wings were crisp and juicy, and I enjoyed every bite. The service was excellent; not too fancy, but they ensured you were well taken care of.

The decor was modest, but it fit the casual vibes well. One hundred percent, you should go eat at Scotty’s; the food tastes like home!

The Wall Street Bar & Grill is less than ten minutes away from Centennial Park, near the Midland Plaza. They serve contemporary American food in a historic building constructed in 1910.

The mahogany bar inside is gorgeous, and the pressed-tin ceilings add to the Victorian era feel. Wall Street serves brunch, and they have an impressive beer list and a nice kid’s menu.

I heard fantastic reviews of the Blackened Orange Roughy and the Grilled Quail. Both were outstanding, and the servers made sure both were cooked the way I liked it.

Friendly service, great food, good drinks, and relaxed vibes; go check out the Wall Street Bar & Grill when you get a chance!

Carambas Spanish Inn brings authentic Mexican fare to the neighborhood night in and night out. They seriously have the fastest service I’ve experienced since visiting Midland restaurants.

The food is always very hot and made-to-order. The flavors are bold, and I appreciate how accommodating the staff was. I came with a large group, and everyone was pleased with their dish.

The atmosphere is relaxing, sometimes they have music playing, and the staff is always friendly. Be advised that they don’t serve alcohol here, but if that doesn’t bother you, you’re good to go!

I loved the Green Chicken Enchiladas, the Smothered Burrito, and the Apple Tart dessert. You should try them both!

The owners are a husband and wife team that offers the freshest seafood and premium steaks. Venezia also has an award-winning wine list with over 500 labels. If you’re not into wine, you can get a specialty cocktail to accompany your meal.

They’ve been selected as the best fine dining establishment in Midland in previous years. And I can see why!

I particularly liked the Braised lamb shank and Goat Cheese salad. I’ve learned that if you bring an empty stomach, they’ll bring the charm and top-quality menu. Find them in the Plaza Oaks Shopping Center!

Located in downtown Midland near Midland Heights, stop when you see the circular rainbow sign that dons the front door of Cancun Bar & Grill!

They serve traditional Tex-Mex, steaks, and seafood. The atmosphere is electric; the servers are so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The wait wasn’t so bad even though it was a lunch hour rush.

In my opinion, the prices are a little higher than what you might expect, even in this area, but the food is the star for sure. I didn’t mind paying for high-quality ingredients that were played beautifully.

You must try the Roasted Corn Chile con Queso, Jalapenos with Soy, the Cancun Grill Enchiladas, and a Margarita or Mexican martini! They also serve Sunday brunch.

Thai House Thai & Chinese Food

9 Meta Dr, Midland, TX 79701
Phone: 432-687-3373

Thai House Thai & Chinese Food is an excellent example of not judging a book by its cover! Located near the Midland Memorial hospital’s main campus, it’s a small restaurant with modest decor.

But let me tell you, they’ve got to have some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had in my life! They are so welcoming, and the atmosphere is very casual and family-friendly.

Thai House lets you choose spice levels, and you can adjust any meal to become vegetarian.

I enjoyed my experience there; the Green Curry Chicken was spectacular, and the Thai Tea was addictive! You have to try this restaurant if you’re in town.

Inside the Imperial Shopping Center, Murray’s Restaurant and Deli has an array of delicious deli sandwiches, fresh fruit and salads, juicy burgers, and more.

They are famous for their curly fries! I was pleasantly surprised by how fun the atmosphere was; it was laid-back. It wasn’t overly noisy, but everyone was sociable.

The decor is straightforward, and the restaurant is clean and inviting. My favorite dish was the California Club. I had the breaded cheese sticks for an appetizer and the carrot cake for dessert.

I look forward to returning for their weekend pizza specials! You should try Murray’s if you want a simple but tasty meal at an affordable price.

Garlic Press

The Garlic Press in downtown Midland is an exceptional restaurant.

I was informed by the waiter that the menu evolves, injecting some variety into the selection from time to time. As I sat waiting for the speedy arrival of my food, I noticed the restaurant’s elegance as a whole.

The eclectic menu features popular cuisines from different parts of the world. And the dish that I liked most was the Grilled Scottish Salmon, which was flaky and moist.

The business casual vibes were a nice touch to the overall ambiance. I recommend this place to all my family and friends!

Mac’s BBQ & Catering has made BBQ their specialty, and I think it’s safe to say that they are masters of their craft.

I enjoyed the rustic feel of the atmosphere and the hearty nature of the food. Every menu item is simply comforting.

Not to mention, the locals rave about their catering surfaces and how professional and well of a job they do providing food for special events.

Here are some of the delicious items that my family and I dug into: Loaded Baked Potato, roughneck pie, and some awesome Barbecue Tacos.

Heroes Meals

3303 W Illinois Ave space 9, Midland, TX 79703
Phone: 432-262-0088
Visit Website

Heroes Meals is a restaurant of simplicity. The decor isn’t much to look at, but I don’t think that was the point.

Heroes meals are not only a sit-in restaurant; this establishment also meals preps as well as caters for events.

I believe Heroes Meals is built more for functionality than looks, and by all accounts, that was an excellent decision to make.

Heroes Meals emphasizes Greek and other Mediterranean dishes. On my visit, I tried their mouth-watering Chicken Shawarma Plate and their Chicken Gyro.

Here are some other incredible dishes to try when you visit Heroes Meals: Falafel, Gyro Plate, Lamb wrap, and Beef and Rice.

Café at the Gardens

Phone: 432-687-1478

Cafe at the Gardens is a unique restaurant because it’s placed smack dab in the middle of Alldredge Gardens!

As you can imagine, this makes for a spectacular spectacle and gives Cafe at the Gardens a leg up when it comes to beautiful scenery as far as cafes go.

I could not get over the majestic setting, and then there was fantastic food there to boot.

Although the menu is simplistic, the items are solid and well prepared. As I sat in the serene atmosphere, I devoured my country’s fried steak in a matter of minutes. It was just that good!

If you’re ever at the Alldredge Gardens, stop by the Gardens at the cafe!
