Recently, I decided to take a trip through Far West Texas. I flew into El Paso with intentions of driving to San Antonio and stopping at Big Bend for a few days in between. After looking over my trip, I realized I had the opportunity to stop at one of my bucket list items while I was there, visiting Marfa.
Marfa may be most well known for its Prada store art installation out in the middle of the desert on Highway 90. But, this town has so much more to offer. Marfa is considered an arts hub where The Chinati Foundation, founded by artist Donal Judd, displays large outdoor sculptures and art installations on a now-defunct army base. If you find yourself in Downtown Marfa, you should definitely book a tour of the campus at the foundation.

Not only is the town an arts hub, but it has a bunch of cute storefronts, coffee shops and restaurants with excellent food all in the downtown area. I spent two days in town and was able to explore most of the Marfa restaurants around, but will definitely be going back. Here is a breakdown of the best restaurants and places to eat in Marfa.

Final Thoughts
Although my time in Marfa was brief, I made sure I got to see and experience as much as possible. The people, culture, art, and food are what drew me to the area, and I hope to return someday soon.
