This area has more of a quirky and eclectic vibe than you’ll find anywhere else in Dallas, so if that’s your thing, head over to Greenville as soon as you can.

The arts are big in Greenville, and one must-see attraction is the Granada Theater. This movie theater in Art Deco style dates back to the 1940s.

The nightlife here is great, with plenty of cocktail bars and pubs. And with so much to do, you’re sure to work up an appetite. Luckily, this neighborhood has an impressive culinary scene.

Rapscallion is the quintessential neighborhood bistro. Located on Greenville Avenue, this restaurant will delight your inner gourmand. The dinner menu is incredibly impressive.

For my entree, I went with the Rapscallion “Winter” Pasta. This delectable dish includes braised beef cheek, pappardelle, tomato, pickled mushroom, herb-ricotta, parmesan, and bread crumbs. Yummy!

I heard locals talk about how Rapscallion is also great for brunch. Popular dishes are the Rapscallion Benedict, Country Breakfast, and Veggie Hash.

And don’t forget the cocktails. Mimosas are an iconic brunch favorite, and Rapscallion also has its own version of the classic Bloody Mary, called the Rapscallion Bloody.

If you’re looking for comfort food you can pair with cocktails, look no further than Alamo Club. This restaurant has quickly become a local fixture since it opened in 2019. Chef Michael West creates a variety of delicious dishes.

I had brunch at the Alamo Club, and the food exceeded even my highest expectations. I have a sweet tooth, so I indulged in the Bread Pudding French Toast.

This dish includes french toast with cherry compote, whipped cream, and maple syrup. I highly recommend it.

Portions are also top of mind here, which is why HG Sply Co. makes sure to give you the portion that will benefit your health as well as your tastebuds.

If you need or prefer gluten-free meal options, you will find them at HG Sply Co. There are also vegetarian-friendly and vegan options on offer.

The setting and atmosphere here are casual, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. The best-loved dishes here are the Yellow Curry, Mexican Pulled Pork, and Ahi Tuna Poke.

I love family-owned and operated restaurants, and that’s why Terilli’s was at the top of my must-visit list for my Greenville Dallas vacation.

This restaurant prides itself on its chic and elegant atmosphere too, and don’t be surprised if you find a live pianist performing as you enjoy your meal.

Friday nights are especially popular at Terilli’s, so if that’s when you want to go, you should book your table as soon as you can. The meals here are beautifully presented and delicious.


Botolino Gelato Artigianale

Botolino Gelato Artigianale is all about desserts. From refreshing gelato and sundaes to decadent cakes, this Greenville Dallas spot is just the thing if you’ve got a sweet tooth.

All the ingredients used here are pure and carefully sourced, and every dessert is made entirely from scratch on the premises.

This is an eating spot for the health-minded when they’re looking for dessert. After all, Botolino Gelato Artigianale doesn’t use any preservatives, colors, or artificial flavors in its tasty creations.

This Greenville institution is the creation of Carlo “Botolo” Gattini, a gelato expert. I recommend stopping by one afternoon and seeing the treats in person. This establishment is located near Bell Avenue in Greenville, Dallas, Texas.


St. Martins

I went to St. Martins for dinner one night during my Greenville adventures, and I was impressed by both the food and atmosphere.

This is a classic restaurant with elegant decor and a welcoming vibe. This is a French restaurant, so if you’ve never tried French cuisine before, you’re in for a memorable treat.

And with a convenient Grenville Avenue location, it’s easy to find. Of course, there is an extensive wine list, and you will be able to pair your meal with the perfect glass or bottle.

For my entree, I had Le Filet de Saumon. This dish includes champagne dijonnaise, and it’s delicious. I never deny myself dessert, so I devoured the Chocolate Mousse, a French classic.


Wabi House

Located on Greenville Avenue near Lewis Street, Wabi House is yet another great Greenville restaurant. This fun restaurant focuses on ramen, tapas, and small plates, and my meal there really hit the spot!

Ask the locals, and they will tell you about the plethora of popular dishes here. Some include the Tonkotsu, Spicy Miso, Karaage, Takoyaki, and Shoyu.

Others are the Chicken Meatballs and Pork Croquette. You’ll find a pleasantly casual setting and atmosphere at Wabi House. Try to get a seat on the benches near the front for excellent people-watching.


La La Land Kind Cafe

La La Land Kind Cafe goes beyond providing great coffee and treats. La La Land Kind Cafe bases its philosophy on kindness. Whenever you are here, you are sure to get a lovely welcome.

This cafe is creative with its coffee and other specialty drinks. If you’re like me and love matcha, you should try the Perfect Matcha Latte.

This inventive concoction brings together matcha with local “bell milk” and secret sauce. You can have it on ice or hot. You’ll find La La Land Kind cafe located on Bell Avenue.


John’s Cafe

When you’re in the mood for classic diner fare, head over to John’s Cafe. I visited this Greenville restaurant for breakfast, and it was excellent.

I had the breakfast special with bacon, hash browns, eggs, and biscuits, and it really set me up for a day of exploring and shopping in Greenville.

Of course, there are other great dishes here, too, like the Chicken Fried Steak and Gyro Omelet. John’s Cafe has a casual setting, and this is always a place where you will find locals.

With Armenian inspiration, Sevan G & G Cafe brings Mediterranean cuisine to Greenville. You can go there for breakfast and lunch every day, and you should definitely enjoy a meal here at least once during your time in Greenville.

When I headed over to this local eatery for lunch, I ordered the Shrimp Kabob. I’m a big shrimp fan, so this became my choice pretty quickly, and I wasn’t disappointed.

This dish includes marinated grilled shrimp served as a kabob, and it comes with grilled veggies and Basmati rice. If you love baklava, make sure you get some for your dessert.


Gloria’s Latin Cuisine

Gloria’s Latin Cuisine has some of the most delicious Latin dishes you’ll find anywhere. The margaritas here are well-known, so make sure you try one.

This Dallas restaurant is especially popular for brunch, but lunch and dinner here are equally great. I had lunch at Gloria’s Latin Cuisine and selected the Shrimp Quesadilla.

This fantastic dish includes shrimp made with monterey jack cheese, wrapped in flour tortillas. You get guacamole and sour cream on the side.

If you’re a Tex-Mex lover, there are plenty of options with those flavors too. Check out the Burrito and Crispy Taco Dinner, as well as the Chile Relleno.

Greenville Dallas is a great place for Mediterranean food. With Cafe Izmir, we have yet another great spot for enjoying Mediterranean cuisine. I just loved the decor here, with its whimsical and artistic touches.

The walls are vibrant, and there are equally colorful paintings adorning them all over the restaurant. The burgundy banquet seats are unique and comfortable, too.

Cafe Izmir describes its menu as Mediterranean tapas. Stop by to enjoy the best Mediterranean flavors in smaller portions.


Rye

Greenville certainly has a great selection of small plate-focused restaurants, and Rye is one of them. Rye focuses on serving “super-seasonal” meals. That means the ingredients are always incredibly fresh and sourced locally.

Rye is also a cocktail bar, so order the perfect cocktail to go with your selection of delicacies. When I visited Rye, I tried the Blue Cheesecake and Shrimp & Grits. I highly recommend both dishes, but don’t forget to try others, too.


Apothecary

Apothecary is the ultimate in chic and stylish Greenville nightlife. In fact, this is a cocktail lounge, and the restaurant is right to call itself avant-garde. That’s the type of decor you find here, with artistic touches and a sophisticated edge in every corner.

The cocktails are stars of the show at Apothecary. There are several popular drinks, including the Suterberry, London Fog, and Trinidaddy.

You can order bite-sized eats with top-notch flavors, such as edible oyster shells and edible candles. Yes, that’s the kind of creativity you will find at Apothecary.

Ready for some luxury? Go with the caviar service. Other options are Oyster Not Oyster, Scallop, Short Rib, and Gimlet Ceviche.


Final Thoughts
