While Big D is a go-to destination for its parks, sports venues, museums, and performing and fine arts centers, it’s also home to several restaurants specializing in its barbeque-style cuisine. As a result, you’re bound to find several restaurants with happy hour deals. However, you might have this question on your mind: which happy hour spots are worth visiting?

Luckily, I compiled a list of the top restaurants, bars, pubs, and spots where you can experience the best happy hour in Dallas. So if you’re in the mood for a hearty meal or light snack with your drinks, I’ll let you know my go-to menu options to make every happy hour visit a night to remember.

Their happy hour deals include $5 on most cocktails, $4 beers, and a wide selection of wines. I recommend trying their Moscow Mule, Peach Smash, Dallas Blonde, and Ramos Gin Fizz. Additionally, Parliament lets you enjoy your drinks on their patio or in their stylized bar for an organic happy hour experience.

This place actually features both the best happy hour and sushi in Dallas, nestled off the corner of Maple Avenue and Randall Street. Uchi’s happy hour menu offers several wines, beer, and sake to sample. If you’re hungry, try their hamachi sushi, wagyu tartare maki, rice cake, or kama chili. I recommend the chef’s selection of five nigiri if you’re having trouble picking. 


Meddlesome Moth

They also feature bar bites, such as baked feta, chicken skin chips, and hummus. In addition, they offer vegan and Keto options if you want to stop by for lunch, dinner, or weekend brunch. 


Royal 38

Las Palmas’ happy hour menu consists of specials costing $7.50 and beers costing $4. I recommend trying their Fiero Spritz, Batanga, Skinny Margarita, and House Margarita (frozen or on the rocks). They also have food options served a la carte, such as nacho fries, chalupa, gordita, and all kinds of tacos.


Public School 214

Nestled uptown in Dallas’s West Village neighborhood, on McKinney Avenue and Cityplace West Boulevard, Public School 214 is a chef-driven gastropub with a schoolroom theme, complete with composition notebook menus. This casual atmosphere offers seasonal menu options and craft beers for any occasion. They also offer catering and private dining services.

Public School 214 holds its “Recess” happy hour every weekday from 3 PM to 6 PM. Their drink specials include $3 off every regular and seasonal draft beer, $8 signature cocktails, and $5 sangria. I recommend their best bar bite menu options: Parmesan truffle fries, bacon cheddar tots, crispy buffalo cauliflower, and PB&J sliders.


HG Sply Co.

If you’re in the mood for American fare and craft cocktails or beer, HG Sply Co, located on Greenville Avenue, might be the place for you. This restaurant has a rustic and chic aesthetic and offers several dining settings, including a rooftop patio and pergola. Their deals include $3 draft beers, $5 cocktails, and half-price full-size appetizers. My favorite drinks I recommend you try are the HG Old Fashioned, Strawberry Smash, and Cucumber Smash. You should also try their cochinita nachos, smoky carrot hummus, and HG chips and queso.

Some standout features include a rooftop deck and several HD monitors showcasing local sporting events. They also host several annual events.

Happiest Hour offers happy hour every Monday through Thursday from 4 PM to 7 PM on their lawn and rooftop. Their drink specials include wells for $6, wines by the glass for $7, and beer pints for $5. They also offer $7 bar eats. I recommend trying their Jim Beam or Eufloria Sparkling with pork sliders or BBQ chicken flatbread.


Leela’s Wine Bar

Located on Greenville Avenue, Leela’s Wine Bar is another place I recommend visiting for happy hour. They serve tap wine, preserved for quality without wasting numerous bottles. 

Leela’s Wine Bar hosts happy hour on the weekdays from 4 PM to 6 PM. They also have an extensive dinner and brunch menu that matches its relaxed setting.

Leela’s happy hour specials include $5 house wines and $7 signature cocktails. In my opinion, their best drinks are Strawberry Hibiscus Smash, Leela’s Paloma, and Espresso Martini. I also recommend ordering their meat or cheese board to share with your friends as you chat the night away.


The Grapevine Bar

Located on the corner of Maple Avenue and Shelby Avenue, The Grapevine Bar is an excellent option for visitors interested in enjoying a nice drink in a lively lounge with great music. This dive bar offers an all-day happy hour on Mondays and Tuesdays. They also host a traditional happy hour on Wednesday through Saturday from 4 PM to 7 PM.

The Grapevine Bar offers frozen cocktails for $3 during happy hour. My favorites include Tangarita, Pom Pom, and Bellini. They also offer cold Texas beers on tap every day. This inclusive bar also provides bookings for several kinds of parties, including birthdays, weddings, and graduations.


Tiny Victories

Tiny Victories’ happy hour specials include half-price cocktails, domestic beer, and wine.  My favorite drinks are Skin Tight Boogie, Tyler Street Swizzle, Corpse Reviver #2, and High Noon seltzer. Got room for more? Try their Spring Break 99 house shot for $5.


Toller Patio

This casual setting has a large dog-friendly patio for any lunch, brunch, or dinner occasion. In addition, they hold their happy hour every weekday from noon to 7 PM.

Some of their happy hour deals include draft cocktails for $6, wells for $5, and specific draft beers for $3. Their food specials include 7 wings, buffalo dip or pimento dip, hummus, and cheese with salsa. If you prefer something else, try their drinks from their tap beer or cocktails, boozy pops, or high balls.


Frankie’s Downtown

Frankie’s Downtown is nestled on the corner of Main Street, and North Field Street is an excellent sports bar with a pub grub, ideal for the best happy hour in Dallas. Although they host happy hour every day from 11 AM to 7 PM, they offer half-price bottles of wine on Mondays, Whiskey Wednesdays, and happy hour all day and night on Tuesdays.

Tuesday’s reduced drink prices include $6 margaritas, $4 house spirits, $5 house wines, and $4 domestic bottles. Their food specials include stuffed jalapenos, chicken quesadilla snacks, and hoodoo fries. I recommend trying their Frankie’s Stein, Wildberry Mojito, or Texas Craft Draft.


The Woolworth

Check out The Woolworth, located on Elm Street, next to the Giant Eyeball sculpture and half a mile from the Dallas World Aquarium. They offer a scratch-made menu with organic ingredients, a scenic view of the downtown area, a cozy and stylish vibe, and happy hour every day until 7 PM.

Their happy hour deals include $3 off of all glasses of wine, $1 off all beers, and $8 craft cocktails. The best cocktails I recommend include Smoke and Spice, Mule Kick, and That’s What She Said. You should also browse their spirits and meal menus. 


The People’s Last Stand

Last but not least on my list of places with the best happy hour in Dallas is The People’s Last Stand, located on East Mockingbird Lane, in Mockingbird Station. This bistro has a relaxing vibe, perfect for unwinding after a long week. They also offer reservations for cocktail mixology classes.

The People’s Last Stand hosts happy hour every Wednesday through Sunday until 7 PM, featuring select cocktails costing around $8. Their top happy hour drink specials I recommend include Pineapple Purple Sky, One In A Melon, and Bay of Pigs. You should also order their assorted cheese board as a light snack to complement your drinks.
