Eating vegan is also a way to avoid supporting any food industries associated with animal cruelty, and there is a potential for it to cut down on our environmental impact, as well.

Little Leon is perfect for even our most health-conscious readers out there. Little Leon has both vegan and non-vegan food options, but we think their plant-based dishes are what really shine here.
Little Leon is located in the heart of South Tampa off of Henderson Boulevard with their name painted on the front of the building in gigantic red letters, so it’s hard to miss.
We love having the option to build our own vegan bowl, and we love it even more at Little Leon because of their incredible vegan meatballs .
Pure Kitchen
3214 W Kennedy Blvd, Tampa, FL 33609
Phone: 813-484-0558
Pure Kitchen is an extremely low-key Tampa vegan spot that is a total one-stop shop for quick, fresh meals to go that are already conveniently packaged for you from an eclectic menu that changes daily, so you’ll never get bored of this place.
It’s all grab-n-go here at Pure Kitchen, so it’s great if you’re in a hurry, but if you’ve got the time, there are a few seats at a small bar that faces out the window to enjoy your food.
Our favorite part about this little gem is the gigantic variety of desserts on their menu that will surely satisfy even the biggest sweet tooth.
Farmacy Vegan Kitchen & Bakery

Just a couple of blocks east of the Glazer Children’s Museum and the Tampa Museum of Art, Farmacy Vegan Kitchen & Bakery is serving some of the best vegan burgers and sandwiches in the city.
We love the clever name, but we love the food even more here at Farmacy. We come here for the burgers and the Philly cheesesteak sandwiches which are both made with deliciously healthy Impossible meat that looks and tastes just like the real thing.
Vegan International Co. Kitchen & Market
13751 N Nebraska Ave, Tampa, FL 33613
Phone: 813-252-3147
Vegan International Co. Kitchen & Market is a treasure trove of unique vegan specialties located far up in North Tampa, but trust me it’s entirely worth the trip. They’re also close to the Grand Prix Tampa with go-karts and games, so there’s something fun to do when you get done eating.
We absolutely love their gyro box that comes with their homemade coconut milk tzatziki sauce. Vegan International is one of the few places we have found to even offer vegan Greek gyros, so it’s quite a pleasant and tasty surprise.
We recommend ordering pickup from Vegan International’s virtual kitchen and market on their website in order to take advantage of a price discount they offer only online.
Dharma Fine Vittles
1910 N Ola Ave Suite 113, Tampa, FL 33602
Phone: 813-803-9998
Visit Website
Dharma Fine Vittles is located inside the historic and upscale Armature Works Tampa, and just like you would expect from Armature Works, it’s amazing.
The specialty here at Dharma is their famous Dharma fried chick’n, otherwise known as “DFC”. It’s all vegan, of course, but it’s so delicious you’ll think it’s real. We recommend the Nashville “Hawt” fried chick’n sandwich for those who enjoy their chick’n with a little bit of extra kick.
The Mediterranean Chickpea
3217 S MacDill Ave suite c, Tampa, FL 33629

The Mediterranean Chickpea is the ultimate stop for all-natural Mediterranean vegan cuisine in Tampa’s gorgeous Bayshore area just south of the sprawling Palma Ceia Golf and Country Club.
Their hummus is really what stands out to us here at The Mediterranean Chickpea. They have three different kinds to choose from like cilantro jalapeño, black olive, and the classic original hummus.
This is the perfect place to go if you’re looking for some healthy superfoods like quinoa, but one of their best sellers is actually their falafel wrap made with hummus and tahini sauce.
Ground Foods Cafe
6428 N Florida Ave, Tampa, FL 33604
Phone: 813-515-7562
Visit Website
Easy to miss and tucked away in Tampa’s Seminole Heights neighborhood is Ground Foods Cafe who serves some of Tampa’s finest Italian vegan food in a casual setting, counter-serve setting.
Ground Foods has a small kitchen where everything is made daily from scratch, so they warn their customers that there is a possibility of them selling out of food before 9:00pm. For this reason, we recommend getting there a bit early to beat the crowds.
We love Ground Foods for their vegan pizza, but their pasta can’t be beat, either.
Curry Leaves Indian Cuisine
4843 W Kennedy Blvd, Tampa, FL 33609
Phone: 813-319-4014
Indian cuisine is well-known for its incredibly diverse variety of amazing vegan, vegetarian dishes, and Curry Leaves Indian Cuisine in Tampa has truly mastered all of the best ones.
Our favorite thing to order here at Curry leaves is their tofu masala. It has all of the amazing flavor found in their signature masala sauce, but with a healthy tofu protein instead of chicken, and we think it tastes even better this way.
There are almost too many options to even choose from here at Curry Leaves, and far too many to many to mention here, so you’ll have to just head there and see for yourself!
3 Dot Dash
6203 N Florida Ave, Tampa, FL 33604
Phone: 813-675-4522
Just a mile south of the family-fun Zoo Tampa at Lowry Park is the perfect place to go for delectable vegan comfort food that will satisfy any and all of your cravings.
They serve everything from Impossible burgers and Chick’n to vegan mac and cheese made with a tasty cashew “cheese” sauce. Our favorite is their buffalo mac and cheese, it is really outstanding.
Luv Child
516 S Howard Ave, Tampa, FL 33609
Phone: 813-213-0100
Visit Website
West Tampa’s own Cuban and Latino jewel of a restaurant, Luv Child, is our number one go-to for things like vegan tacos.
While they are not a strictly vegan restaurant, Luv Child has plenty of plant-based options to choose from so that everyone will be happy with their meal here.
We always order the plant-based tacos when we dine at Luv Child. They come with ancho mushrooms, chickpea rojas, and are made with a plant-based chorizo.
The Naked Farmer
615 Channelside Dr, Tampa, FL 33602
Phone: 813-618-5815
The Naked Farmer is located inside Tampa’s Channelside Bay Shopping Plaza at Sparkman Wharf, and they have everything delicious and vegan you could ever dream of.
Everything here at Naked Farmer is locally-sourced, and they take a lot of pride in supporting local farms and using the freshest seasonal ingredients available to produce what they call “unmessed-with deliciousness”.
We tried one of their signature farmer’s baskets and it was out of this world. There are so many combinations of vegetables to choose from that you can keep coming back every day and still get something different each time.
Fresh Kitchen
4616 W Kennedy Blvd, Tampa, FL 33609
Phone: 813-563-5700
Fresh Kitchen is located on West Kennedy Boulevard just across the street from one of Tampa’s nicest 4-star hotels, The Westshore Grand.
Fresh Kitchen knows bowls better than anyone else, in our opinion, but you should really go check it out for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.
There are hundreds of combinations to make here at Fresh Kitchen and each one is more exquisite and healthier than the last.
Bamboozle Cafe
516 N Tampa St, Tampa, FL 33602
Phone: 813-223-7320
Visit Website
Downtown Tampa is our favorite place in the whole city mostly because of all the mind-blowingly great restaurants. One that always sticks out is Bamboozle Cafe for its unique style of Asian-fusion vegan cuisine.
We absolutely love their barbecue jackfruit fresh rolls, but those are just a warmup for the real treat here at Bamboozle: their vegan pho with tofu.
For beverages, they offer a wide selection of wine, beer, and sake, but they also have things like fruit smoothies to help beat that infamous Florida heat.
Mitmita Ethiopian Restaurant
4901 W Linebaugh Ave, Tampa, FL 33624
Phone: 813-415-2183
Visit Website
Take a little trip out to northwest Tampa for this next restaurant and you’ll be so glad you did. Mitmita Ethiopian Restaurant is the perfect place to go for something a little out of the ordinary while still staying plant-based and healthy.
If you’re not sure what to order here, we recommend the gomen watt which consists of delectable collard greens and potatoes simmered in an onion and herb sauce.
Mitmita is proof that vegan cuisine can be delicious and healthy without having to imitate non-vegan foods.
Pickford’s Counter
2606 W Hillsborough Ave, Tampa, FL 33614
Phone: 813-708-8985
Pickford’s Counter is our top stop for vegan breakfast and brunch when we’re enjoying a day out in beautiful Tampa Bay.They offer a delightful mix of vegan and non-vegan food options in a nostalgic, 1940’s style diner atmosphere.
The menu is small, but that is because everything is made fresh by hand here at Pickford’s, but they’re only open until 2:30pm Monday-Saturday, and they close even earlier on Sundays at 1:30pm, so make sure to get there early!
Final Thoughts
People don’t often think of Tampa Bay as a hotspot for vegan cuisine, but those people would be wrong because it absolutely is. This list is the ultimate guide to locating all the best vegan restaurants in Tampa that serve healthy, fresh food without ever sacrificing taste or quality.
