We agree that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and, if you ask us, the most important part of that meal is the cup of coffee that goes alongside it.
Whether it be a steaming-hot pour-over brew or a frigidly refreshing iced coffee, that first cup of joe in the morning is absolutely crucial for us to start the day off on the right foot and to be feeling well-energized, so it’s got to be something high-quality.
We went on a mission to help other coffee lovers like us and put together this list of the best coffee shops in Tampa Bay so that the next time you’re in the city, you’ll know precisely where to go for that perfect cup of coffee to get you ready for the day ahead.
These places have all kinds of light and dark roasts, with plenty of medium roasts in between, and from all over the world. One thing Tampa knows is how to make a strong cup of coffee that is sure to wake you up and taste good all at once.

Felicitous is one of Tampa’s best coffee shops and you can find it on the corner of East 51st Street and East Fowler Avenue in the Uptown Tampa neighborhood, almost directly adjacent to the University of South Florida.
This has to be our favorite coffeehouse in the city because of the fact that they are dog-friendly, offering free water and a dog biscuit to all four-legged customers along with other options to purchase for your pooch on their adorable “Pawtio” menu.
Spaddy’s Coffee Co.
6102 S MacDill Ave, Tampa, FL 33611
Spaddy’s Coffee is a low-key gem located in Seminole Heights off of North Florida Avenue, and they are easily one of Tampa’s best coffee shops.
We love coming here for coffee, but they have other menu items like their chai latte and matcha latte that are also delightful to have first thing in the morning.
They don’t offer much in the way of food here at Spaddy’s, but you can get things like Cuban butter toast and Cuban cheese toast.
1208 E Kennedy Blvd #112, Tampa, FL 33602
Ginger beard is located off of East Madison Street, directly across from Madison Street Park, in the heart of the beautiful Channel District of Downtown Tampa where they serve some of Tampa Bay’s best coffee.
They specialize in nitro cold brew here at Ginger Beard and not only is it absolutely delicious and smooth, but their cold brew packs a mighty punch of energy.
It’s like a bar but with coffee, and that was the idea behind Ginger Beard when the owners opened up in 2015, brewing their coffee with the exact same equipment used to make beer.
DI Coffee Bar
214 E Davis Blvd, Tampa, FL 33606
DI Coffee Bar is located off of East Davis Boulevard on the quaint, quiet Davis Island in Tampa Bay which is what the “DI” in their name stands for.
Everything is delicious here at DI Coffee bar, especially their baked goods, and they have some of the best coffee in Tampa, if you ask us.
Come in and try their espresso with one of their incredible bagels, you won’t regret it!

Mojo Books and Records
2540 E Fowler Ave, Tampa, FL 33612
Mojo Books and Records is, hands down, Tampa’s best coffeehouse that’s inside of a bookstore and record shop.

They also offer other refreshing treats here at Mojo like smoothies, Italian sodas, and various kinds of tea drinks.
4048 W Kennedy Blvd, Tampa, FL 33609
Sucré Table is an upscale, modern bakery off of West Kennedy Boulevard and South Clark Avenue in the Swann Estates neighborhood where you can get some of Tampa’s best coffee and gourmet baked goods.
Our perfect breakfast at Sucré Table is one of their shiitake and shallot croissant soufflé along with a classic drip coffee.
They also have other incredible specialty beverages like cortado and a basil matcha latte that you won’t find in many other coffee shops.
Zeal Coffee Roasters
1703 W State St, Tampa, FL 33603
Tucked away in the North Hyde Park neighborhood on the corner of North Rome Avenue and West State Street, but it’s worth going out of your way for if you’re looking for one of the best coffee shops in Tampa Bay.
They offer a house drip, espresso, americano, chemex, and cold brew here at Zeal Coffee Roasters, so it can be hard to choose, but when you find a roast that you love, you can take home a bag of their beans to enjoy.
The Blind Tiger Cafe
1901 E 7th Ave, Tampa, FL 33605
This next incredible coffeehouse is over in one of our favorite places in Tampa, Ybor City. The Blind Tiger is one of the best coffee shops to go to for gourmet coffee, sweet treats, and breakfast items.
The Blind Tiger is an amazing place to come when you’re looking for coffee, but their tea selection is also one of the most impressive ones we could find here in Tampa. They offer 5 kinds of black tea, 6 kinds of green tea, and 3 kinds of herbal tea, so you’re bound to find one you love.

Right across the street from the Centennial Park and the Ybor City State Museum, Foundation Coffee is one of Tampa Bay’s best Coffeehouses that’s located in the heart of gorgeous Ybor City.
Our favorite thing to order here is the Ethiopian nitro brew; it’s unbelievably smooth and refreshingly cold with a strong kick to keep you wired all day long.
420 W Kennedy Blvd, Tampa, FL 33606
Just south of the University of Tampa is Oxford Exchange, a restaurant, coffee shop, bookstore, and shop all built into one perfect location.
Oxford Exchange is one of the best coffee shops in Tampa thanks to its warm, inviting atmosphere and extremely long list of hot and cold beverages like tea and coffee.
They have a massive selection of white tea, green tea, oolong, rooibos, matè, black, and herbal, so no matter what you’re looking for, you’ll find it.
