Goose Feathers is a buzzing European-style bakery and cafe that serves sandwiches, soups, salads, and all-day breakfast.
You can find Goose Feathers near the Cathedral and the Savannah River in the Historic District.
The ambiance is a cross between Paris and lower Manhattan. It’s upscale while also remaining casual and inviting for the whole family.
The aromas of both savory and sweet food items will keep you coming back for more.
Goose Feathers has hot and cold brunch items, but the Shrimp and Grits, Salmon Quiche, Bagel Lox and Cheese, and Bacon and Egg Croissants were my favorite dishes on the menu.
I also recommend trying a slice of cinnamon roll cheesecake on your way out the door! The Mocha Latte and the Cappuccino are also popular brunch drinks in place of cocktails.

One of my personal favorites on the list, Huey’s does brunch like no one else in Savannah. Their genuine New Orleans cuisine is the best of its kind on River Street.
You can enjoy a pleasant morning of great food and cocktails from the full-service bar before you tackle the day.
The floor-to-ceiling windows and brick walls add a nice touch of class to an already sophisticated cafe.
If you’re looking for high-quality Creole, Cajun, Southern-style fare, Huey’s is the spot for bold flavors and distinct seafood dishes. The Crabcake Benedict, for example, is delicious.
Pair this with their world-famous beignets, and you’re good to go. If you want a classic, try their Cajun Gumbo or French Onion Soup. They have an extensive wine list and a variety of cocktails.
For brunch, you can choose between fan favorites such as the Seasonal Sangria, the refreshing Savannah Peach Tea, and the famous Mimosa, amongst others.

Clary’s Cafe is a Southern diner near Thomas Square, by the riverbank. Their focus on family and hospitality is apparent as soon as you walk through the doors.
There are family pictures and paintings on the walls, memorabilia, and knick-knacks situated throughout that add to the colorful decor. The patio is the perfect place to enjoy brunch, as you people watch and enjoy the view.
The personable staff with excellent service makes you feel welcomed right away. Your dogs are also welcome to tag along, as the staff gives them free treats and water while you eat.
The portion sizes are large, and the brunch dishes like the Biscuits and Gravy and the
Stuffed French Toast with Cream Cheese is enough food for two. Clary’s also serves fresh pastries all day, with their Sticky Buns being amazingly warm and tasty.

The best way to describe J. Christopher’s is comfy and casual. New renovations have brought a modern design with local artwork throughout the restaurant.
You feel at home because the workers are kind and inviting, serving homemade breakfast and brunch to start the day. They always have specials, so be sure to inquire when you order.
The plate sizes are more than satisfying, and if you just want something quick, try the Irish Oatmeal, Cinnamon Rolls, or Turkey Sausage Platter for brunch.
Or, if you’ve got the time to sit down and try some of their popular dishes that’ll leave you in a food coma, go for the Blueberry Crunch Cakes and a specialty omelet.

The Little Duck Diner is in Ellis Square near the City Market by the river. It’s an upscale diner that has classic American favorites with a twist in a vintage setting.
They also have a gorgeous patio where you can enjoy your meal. Think modern retro meets southern charm; that’s LDL for you in a nutshell. The staff is very professional, and the customer service is exceptional.
On my trip to Savannah, I went to the Little Duck and tried the Homefries and Applewood-smoked bacon. I can honestly say it was incredible!
The bacon slices were thick, and they had a slight glaze that made them a little chewier, which I loved. I’m also a big fan of their Gourmet Grilled Cheese and tomato soup with a Bellini on the side.
All of their cocktails seem fresh, and they also give suggestions to help pair with your meal.
I noticed a lot of Mimosas and Lemon Drop Martinis being ordered, and they all come in non-alcoholic variations as well. The Little Duck Diner carries wine and beer also.
Foxy Loxy Cafe

Foxy Loxy Cafè is in Thomas Square, near Forsyth Park. It’s a coffee shop, Tex-Mex Cantina, and bakery all in one.
They have outdoor and indoor seating, as well as live music playing every Tuesday night by the regional and local artists. Every Saturday, there’s a huge fire pit going that’s cozy to sit around on chilly evenings.
At Foxy Loxy, you get excellent coffee, authentic Mexican cuisine, and top-notch service.
The flavors are deep and complex, even with simple dishes. It’s a great place to go for brunch, as it isn’t usually too busy.
I tried the Espresso Tonic because the server recommended it, and I’m glad I did. Never had anything like it, but it went well with the Bacon and Egg Omelet. Stop by for sure if you’re in town!
