Spending NYE in San Antonio is always a treat for me because of how many fun events and celebrations you can find all across the city if you know where to look.

I made it my mission this year to scour the city and locate all the best NYE parties in San Antonio so that I could rank them on a list, and that’s exactly what I did. Down below, you’ll see all the greatest New Year’s Eve hotspots around the city that you can head to for an unforgettable night.

Fredericksburg New Year’s Eve Weekend AND Hot Air Balloon Event

A fun, casual weekend in the Heart of the Texas Hill Country for New Year’s Eve in Fredericksburg, Texas.

On Friday, guests will head to Bankersmith Dance Hall (Open at Noon) and Saloon for live music and their Famous $20 Steak Night. There will be no balloons, helicopters or polo on Friday.

On Saturday, New Year’s Eve head to the Grapetown Winery & Fredericksburg Polo Club on Saturday at 4PM (Saturday Hours 4PM-8PM) to enjoy Polo, Hot Air Balloons (weather contingent) and Helicopter Rides.

We will have a few hot air balloons for tethered rides on site (will inflate when weather allows, but always weather contingent), a full bar and polo! Helicopter Rides will be available from 4PM-8PM! The polo matches on Saturday will run from 4PM-5:30PM! Great food! Great drinks! Helicopter and Balloon Rides (weather contingent). Limited vendors and more!

Will parking be available?

Depending on the venue, yes. Some places even offer a valet service!

Is there a dress code?

Some restaurants and bars require pants or a jacket, but it’s best to check ahead with any establishment you plan to visit. 

Will there be hotel accommodations? 

Yes! Several hotels around the city will be hosting events for the holiday.

Will there be food at the NYE parties?

Depending on the venue, yes. Many restaurants and bars will be offering limited NYE menus. 

Do I need a ticket?

Many events will require a pre-purchased ticket, but some fireworks shows are free to the public. 


Final Thoughts

As you can see, there are unforgettable experiences waiting for you on New Year’s Eve in San Antonio. There are so many places to celebrate and watch fireworks around the city that it’s almost impossible to have a bad time on NYE in San Antonio, especially if you head to any of the venues I listed above.
