When it comes to exclusivity and luxury in San Antonio, you can’t beat Stone Oak. This neighborhood is not only a suburban residential community.

The menu here is so full of top-notch sushi creations that it’s hard to decide what to order. Take a look at some of the most popular selections here, such as the Bora Bora Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, Cosimo Roll, and San Antonio Roll. I tried the Spicy Tuna Roll and San Antonio Roll, and they were both excellent.

As well as sushi, you can get other iconic Japanese foods here like Japanese Comfort Foods, Noodles & Rice, Bento Boxes, and more. There are wonderful appetizers here, too, such as Miso Soup (one of my favorites) and Seaweed Salad.

You can even have Cajun crawfish at this local restaurant. Add to the adventure with a trip to Extreme Escape – Stone Oak, just four minutes away.


Chama Gaúcha Brazilian Steakhouse

Brazilian steak is famous worldwide, and Chama Gaúcha lets you experience this legendary food with the authentic “gaucho” experience.

Your steak will be served to you hot, presented on an enormous skewer by a professional Brazilian gaucho chef. The chef will expertly slice the meat for you that you can then grab with the provided thongs.

They serve 12 kinds of meat, including lamb, pork, and their specialty, Picanha, which is a prime cut of sirloin.

And if you want to add some veggies to your juicy meal or avoid meat altogether, their salad bar has an extensive selection of over 30 items.

Furthermore, Chama Gaúcha Brazilian Steakhouse boasts an outstanding selection of wines stored in temperature-controlled cellars.

If you are not sure which fine to go for, you can always ask the knowledgeable staff for suggestions. Chama Gaucha Brazilian Steakhouse is a short drive from Homewood Suites by Hilton San Antonio North.

Kirby’s Steakhouse describes itself as a prime fine dining establishment, and I absolutely agree. Dress up a bit for your visit to Kirby’s, as the atmosphere is distinctly upscale.

It goes without saying that the steak here is juicy and delicious. Kirby’s also keeps a sommelier, and in fact, all the wines and other drinks here are expertly selected.

If you ask Stone Oak residents about Kirby’s Steakhouse, you’re sure to meet with enthusiastic recommendations.

After all, this top-notch steakhouse has been a highly respected local institution since way back in 1954. I made a reservation for my dinner at Kirby’s Steakhouse, and I highly recommend you do too. Kirby’s Steakhouse is near Tuscany Stone.

For the perfect fusion of Japanese and Korean cuisine, check out Sushi Express on Stone Oak Parkway.

Sushi is a popular dish in Stone Oak, and Sushi Express is one of the most popular places where you can stop by for a fresh and delicious meal. It’s been wildly popular ever since its opening in 2011.

There is a wide selection of famous dishes here, including Pork Bulgogi, Beef Bulgogi, Kimchi, San Antonio Roll, Stone Oak Roll, Crab, Squid, and California Roll.

When I went to Sushi Express, I enjoyed the welcoming and casual atmosphere in the colorful dining room. And the sushi was amazing!

Head over to Sushi Express during your Stone Oak stay. You’ll love the close proximity between Sushi Express and the well-known Hardy Oak Boulevard.

If you’re craving steak and want something more casual, LongHorn Steakhouse is for you. The steaks here are always fresh, cut and prepared by experts.

I adore grilled steak, and I was impressed by the food here. I felt like I was down-home on the ranch with the decor, too.

Start your meal with a tasty appetizer, like the Spicy Chicken Bites or Firecracker Chicken Wraps. Cheese is irresistible to me, so I selected the White Cheddar Stuffed Mushrooms.

And then comes your mouth-watering steak. I had the Renegade Sirloin & Redrock Grilled Shrimp, bringing together the best of land and sea. LongHorn Steakhouse is situated near Stone Oak Parkway.

Curry is one of my favorite foods, so I put Tarka Indian Kitchen near the top of my Stone Oak adventures.

Curries are one of Tarka Indian Kitchen’s specialties, with shrimp, paneer, vegetables, lamb, and chicken available for you to choose from. Are you a vegetarian? Tarka is a great place to go. There are several vegetarian dishes offered here.

When I had dinner at Tarka Indian Kitchen, I ordered the Coconut variety. It was smooth and flavorful, with ginger and garlic-infused onion sauce, potatoes, and coconut milk.

For my protein, I chose lamb. And what about my spice level? I went Medium, but if you’re daring, go with the Hot (or even the Xtra Hot)!

Planning to visit San Antonio Shrine Auditorium while in Stone Oak? If so, head to Tarka Indian Kitchen before or after. It’s just six minutes away.


Aldaco’s Mexican Cuisine

Aldaco’s Mexican Cuisine first opened in 1989, and it’s definitely a local favorite. This establishment is known for its hospitality and its exceptional Mexican cuisine. Feeling thirsty? Check out the menu of tantalizing cocktails and margaritas.

The patio here is famous for a reason. This restaurant’s great Stone Oak Parkway location provides an outstanding view of San Antonio, Texas.

Indoors, there’s a welcoming bar. Like watching TV while you drink and mingle? There are six televisions here on display.

On my visit to Aldaco’s Mexican Cuisine, it was clear how fresh all the ingredients were. You can truly taste it in the flavorful dishes.

There are plenty of famous dishes here, like the Fish Tacos, Stone Oak Fajitas, and Beef Fajita Plate. Aldaco’s Mexican Cuisine is found less than a mile from Mesa Ranch.

This chain restaurant is simple but shouldn’t be underestimated! Salata is known for its hearty soups, flavorful wraps, and salads with signature dressings.

Just step up to the counter and place your order. You’ll get a fresh and nutritious meal no matter what you order.

In fact, keeping everything healthy is Salata’s main focus. So, what did I order? I enjoyed the Chipotle White Bean Soup and Pesto Chicken Salad.

Both were even tastier than they sounded. The Pesto Chicken Salad features scrumptious pesto chicken cubes with a plethora of other ingredients in a bowl.

Toro Kitchen + Bar is among the best restaurants serving Spanish cuisine in San Antonio. It’s so popular that you’ll probably want to book a table in advance.

This is especially true on Fridays and Saturdays when they have live music performances at 7 p.m. This was one of my favorite experiences in Toro.

And by the way, the Paella here is outstanding! Drive over to Toro Kitchen + Bar’s convenient location on the major roadway of North Loop 1604 East.

Authenticity is a watchword at Toro Kitchen + bar. In fact, you can even occasionally see flamenco dancing here.

The selection of wines you can pair with your food is excellent. Toro Kitchen + Bar offers a Happy Hour, too.

To take advantage of this, head over to Toro between 2 in the afternoon and 7 in the evening. There are affordable tapas on offer during this time, too.


Milano Italian Grill

Located near a major community landmark, Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Milano Italian Grill has been one of the most popular Stone Oak restaurants for more than 20 years.

The cuisine here is authentic Italian, so it quickly drew me in. It’s hard to beat Italian food when you want something equal parts delicious and comforting.

No matter what classic Italian dish is your favorite, you’ll find that Milano Italian Grill makes it to perfection.

Of course, there are plenty of pasta dishes, such as lasagna, ravioli, and Fettuccine Alfredo. This latter dish was the one I chose, and it was scrumptious.

There are also beef, pork, sausage, and veal dishes for you to peruse. Or if seafood is your thing, check out that part of the menu.
