If you’re headed to Salt Lake City, or even if you live there full-time, one thing you’re going to want to do while you’re in the area is grab yourself a nice, juicy steak. Sure, there are tons of museums and hiking trails to enjoy, but the city’s greatest attraction, to me, is the steakhouse scene.
There are very few foods that compare to a delicious steak dinner. A juicy ribeye or a flavorful porterhouse is one of the most delectable things that you can order on a night out, and Salt Lake City has the places that know how to do it right. If that’s something that interests you, then you’re going to want to keep on reading.

The number-one spot on my list goes to none other than Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar. If this name sounds familiar, it’s because they have locations all over the country and each one is a superb steakhouse.
You can Fleming’s inside the The Gateway shopping mall, right next to Vivint Arena, so it’s easy to locate. When you get here, you’ll be blown away by the selection of Prime cuts of steak that are available. The Prime tomahawk ribeye is the absolute king of steaks and it’s what I always recommend for anyone coming to Fleming’s.

Next up is Spencer’s For Steaks and Chops Salt Lake City. For anyone who has eaten here before, this should come as no surprise. Spencer’s is a phenomenal steakhouse in Salt Lake City that everyone needs to visit.
Spencer’s is a high-end establishment that serves up nothing but the best steaks available. I highly recommend the USDA Prime New York strip or the ribeye. Either one of these is sure to satisfy even the hungriest of patrons. Check out Spencer’s off fo West Temple Street in the Hilton Salt Lake City Center, right around the corner from the Capitol Theatre.

Right next door to Spencer’s is quite possibly the most well-known name in steak: Ruth’s Chris Steak House. Everyone knows Ruth’s Chris, but if you’ve never been there, then you are seriously missing out. The hardest part about coming to Ruth’s Chris Steak House is choosing which delectable cut of meat you want for your meal.
My favorite cuts include the cowboy ribeye, the T-bone, and the filet, but they also have a massive porterhouse for two people that’s perfect for a romantic night out. Check out Ruth’s Chris in Salt Lake City off of West Temple Street inside the Broadway Media building.

This next steakhouse is called Rodizio Grill Brazilian Steakhouse and this place never disappoints whenever I have the pleasure of dining here. You can find this place inside the Trolley Square shopping center next to the Whole Foods Market in the Central City neighborhood.
What I love about this place, and what you’ll love too, is that it’s a classic rodizio-style experience where you can eat as much delicious steak as you want for one flat fee. It’s hard to find a better deal around town when it comes to an all-you-can-eat steak dinner.

Ruby River is the next steakhouse that I’d like to point your attention towards, and for very good reason. This place is unbeatable when it comes to aged steaks in a cozy atmosphere. Plus, the prices are very reasonable here at Ruby River for the quality of food and service that you receive.
What I recommend from Ruby River is the peppered bacon sirloin, but they have the classic ribeye and NY strip steaks as well. Check out Ruby River near the Gilgal Sculpture Garden in Central City, right across the street from the Trader Joe’s super market.

The next place I want to mention is called Christopher’s Prime Tavern & Grill. This place is fantastic when it comes to all things steak and they will blow away all of your expectations like they did mine. Christopher’s Prime Tavern & Grill has everything you need to enjoy the perfect steak dinner, including the fine-dining atmosphere, high-quality service, and, of course, mouth-watering steaks.
I have to recommend the 28-day, dry-aged Prime cowboy ribeye from Christopher’s. You won’t find a more tender steak around, I promise. Christopher’s is located off of West Broadway inside The Peery Hotel, Tapestry Collection by Hilton.

Log Haven is up next and I don’t think there’s another restaurant with as nice of an atmosphere. Log Haven is located up in the mountains off of Mill Creek Canyon Road, just past the Millcreek Inn, before the Terrace Picnic Area.
This steakhouse is a bit of a trek for most people, but it is seriously worth the drive, trust me. Log Haven is built inside of a real log cabin and it’s an absolutely ideal location for a romantic night out. My all-time favorite dish from Log Haven is the bison steak au poivre, but everything is so delicious.

Right off of East Parleys Way near the Maceys grocery store is an amazing steakhouse called Harbor Seafood & Steak. As the name implies, they do serve seafood as well, but I think the steak is what really shines here at Harbor Seafood & Steak Co.
If you’ve never tried wagyu before, then this is the restaurant to do it at. Harbor Seafood & Steak Co. They serve American wagyu here at Harbor and it is simply divine. Many people agree that wagyu is the ultimate type of steak, known for its intense marbling and flavor. Of course, they have lots of other delicious options.

This next steakhouse is called Braza Grill and you can find this one in the State Place Shopping Center off of State Street. It’s an ideal location to take a break from your shopping spree to enjoy all-you-can-eat steak and other meats.
Braza Grill is another rodizio-style steakhouse where endless steak is brought to your table on a massive skewer and carved right onto your plate. It’s really a phenomenal place to eat, especially if you’re in a large group of people because there’s always plenty of food for everyone. Just make sure you come on an empty stomach!

Five Alls Restaurant is the next place I want to mention and they’re located off of Foothill Drive inside the Foothill Village shopping center, right near the Boneville Hills neighborhood. I always recommend this place to anyone in Salt Lake City looking for delicious steak.
Five Alls is a fine-dining restaurant inspired by Old-English culture, offering five-course meals and picturesque views of the valley. I highly recommend the filet mignon with their broiled lobster tail for some classic surf and turf that never fails to impress. The New York steak is also a great choice as well.

Right inside of the Commons At Sugar House shopping mall off of Highland Drive is Kimi’s Chop & Oyster House. This place is always a winner when you’re looking for a great night out filled with premium cuts of beef cooked to perfection.
I usually start with some fresh oysters from Kimi’s, but the steak is king of course. My favorite thing to order from Kimi’s Chop & Oyster House is their grilled Prime ribeye steak. It’s so juicy and it just melts in your mouth, so I always find myself drawn to it when I come here.
