Nestled in the city with views of the mountains, Oasis Cafe stays true to its name.
From the gorgeous outdoor patio to the allowance of ADA-certified service dogs, this is a place to relax, unwind, and enjoy a delicious breakfast.
Their brunch menu is served until 3 in the afternoon every day.
Offerings include french toast, huevos rancheros, eggs benedict florentine, and a frittata of the day!
Of course my favorite is the huevos rancheros with the added salmon chorizo.
It’s refreshing but filling, perfect for brunch.
Certain menu items can be made vegan with substitutions, and these are easily identifiable on the menu.
Try out this casual and welcoming spot on your next brunch outing!

Hub and Spoke Diner is located on an unassuming street, but the inside of this creative and modern diner is a must-see.
It was previously featured in eight different publications around Salt Lake City that name it as one of the best breakfast places in the city!
They offer delicious biscuits and gravy meals, and other classic meals on a build-your-own basis.
These include an omelet and a breakfast plate with or without meat.
They even have one of my all time favorites, chicken and waffles.
If you are looking for a breakfast place that makes much of their food and sauces from scratch with farm-fresh ingredients, this might be the place for you!

Over the Counter Cafe was founded in 1983 and is located in the Millcreek area of Salt Lake City.
This family-owned and operated spot is one to visit for that home-cooked feeling.
Known for their potatoes from scratch, most of their breakfast menu items come with home fries, and they are the perfect pairing to any meal from Over the Counter.
I may not have celiac disease, but I always order the gluten-free pancakes simply because they’re so delicious and fluffy.
I either pair my meal with the Mountain High Chai or the Bootleg old Brew, depending on how much of a boost I need.
They also have many omelet and pancake options, so you will find something that suits your tastes!
Pig & a Jelly Jar SLC

Despite the odd name, the menu at Pig & A Jelly Jar is a Southern-inspired ensemble that will live up to your breakfast cravings.
They have been named the best comfort food in Salt Lake City and one of the best patios for the views and vibe in the area.
Two female cooks lead this enterprise where people flock to have a taste of their chicken and waffles or southern biscuits and gravy.
When I saw that they carry “Green Eggs and Ham,” I had to try it.
It’s sliced smoky ham, topped with fresh tomatoes and poached eggs, all smothered with a green chili hollandaise sauce.
It comes with a side of hash to be extra filling, and it’s become my go-to breakfast here.
Add this to your list of breakfast places you must try in Salt Lake, especially if you are from the South and want a taste of home.

Roots Cafe is another good option for a low-key atmosphere with great food.

Their breakfast menu is served daily from 7 am-3 pm.
You will find an assortment of sweet and savory made-to-order meals with fresh ingredients.
Some standout items include the house-made apple pecan cranberry bread pudding french toast and their peeto breakfast sandwich.
If I’m in the mood for something light, I get the yogurt parfait: vanilla yogurt mixed wtih organic granola and fresh berries.
However, if I need something substantial, I get the Roots of Your Day.
It’s got eggs, house potatoes, pancakes (or toast), and a protein.
I almost always sub to get the grass fed steak to have a truly decadent brunch.
