Their flagship location is in the heart of Midtown Sacramento and offers a casual, family-friendly atmosphere to enjoy authentic Greek food made with locally sourced ingredients.

The menu has a wide selection of classic Mezze, gyros, and giant combination platters.

I loved their gyro pitas because they stuff them with fries.

I had the Beefteki Pita with a beef and pork patty, tomatoes, onions, parsley, tzatziki, and French fries in a warm, soft pita.

The interior has white columns, blue trim, and lovely depictions of Greek Island skylines painted on the walls.

Kabob House is a family-owned restaurant with over 30 years of service in Sacramento.

They have an authentic menu of Greek and Middle Eastern specialties.

I started with the dolmades, rice-stuffed grape leaves with mint.

Since their name is Kabob House, I had to try one of their kabob entrees and chose the ground lamb kabobs with a Greek salad, rice pilaf, and fresh pita bread.

Falafel Corner is a Halal-certified chain dedicated to serving the freshest meats and most authentic Mediterranean cuisine from the Middle East.

In addition to skewers, kabobs, and falafel, they also serve pizza and burgers.

Their burgers are over the top, and their most popular burger is the Badmash Burger with two huge beef patties covered in melted Swiss and cheddar with a medley of sauces, veggies, a fried egg, bacon, and sauteed onions and mushrooms.

It was so enormous, that I had to eat it with a knife and fork.

Located in Woodside, Greek Food Imports is locally owned with a charming atmosphere, knowledgeable staff, and delicious Greek fare.

Their food uses locally sourced meat and produce and offers a gourmet take on Greek classics with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options.

They grill their pita bread over an open fire, creating a delicious char.

You can have the pita as a wrap or dip in one of their incredible mezze dips.

My favorite dish was the Moussaka.

Pita Q is a hip and fashionable fully customizable Mediterranean food bar in the Larchmont Riviera East neighborhood.

The contemporary boho-chic interior has white tiled walls and an enormous ingredient bar behind a glass case where customers create their own salads, wraps, or grain bowls.

Employees will guide you through a simple, user-friendly ordering format, starting with whether you’re creating a salad, grain bowl, or wrap and then choosing which ingredients you’d like.

I went with their falafel bowl with romaine lettuce, hummus, tabouleh, red onions, cucumbers, tahini, and red sauce.

They’re open for lunch and dinner, and there’s always a line.

They’re located outside of a Shell Station with indoor seating.

When I’m running low on gas, I know it’s time for a Mykonos Gyro, served in blue and white checkered paper.

Their serving size is huge, no matter what you order.

I loved their chicken and rice plate with lemony rice, fresh salad, and moist, well-spiced chicken.
