Azitra Indian Culinary Nirvana is on the corner of Brier Creek Parkway and Macaw Street. You can find it right next to Jason’s Deli.

This restaurant has a pleasant, upscale atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor dining options. They even have lounge rooms where you can host private events!

As for their menu, Azitra Indian Culinary Nirvana has a broad selection of gourmet Indian dishes. I recommend their shahi paneer—it’s creamy, cheesy, and has the perfect balance of sweet and savory flavor.

And if you save room for dessert, consider ordering some of their decadent cakes or puddings.

You can find Dharani Express on Avent Ferry Road, just around the corner from Avent Ferry Shopping Mall. It’s a great place to settle down for a meal after a long shopping day.

They have a laid-back atmosphere that’s super family-friendly, too. This Indian restaurant offers plenty of appetizers, main courses, and desserts.

The samosas or the puri masala are smart choices if you need something small yet satisfying. Veggie-lovers may enjoy the aloo gobi, which has cauliflower, potatoes, and tomatoes.

And if you have a sweet tooth, I suggest their gulab jamun—it has a soft texture and a rose syrup coating.

As their name suggests, you can find a variety of tasty kebabs and curries on their menu. The samosas are one of their most popular items, which you can get with a potato or lamb filling.

If you need something to warm you up on a chilly day, I recommend their Mulligatwani soup.

Their chef won a Top Chef award among 1,500 Indian chefs, so expect a very high-quality menu. Stop by before 2:30 on weekdays or 3:00 on weekends to check out their lunch buffet.

Their menu offers a varied selection of seafood, chicken, vegetable, and lamb entrees. My personal favorite is the mixed vegetable pakora—it makes a great appetizer to share with friends.

They also offer tasty desserts such as mango kulfi and rice pudding.

Royal India is on Capital Boulevard Suite just around the corner from America’s Best Wings. This Indian eatery lives up to its name with its upscale atmosphere and a huge selection of decadent North Indian dishes!

If you’re planning an event, consider checking out their catering options as well. This restaurant offers a lot of vegan and gluten-free dishes, so even those with dietary restrictions can have a nice meal here.

My favorite dish here is dum aloo kashmiri, which has potatoes stuffed with cheese and topped with tomato sauce and nuts!

They offer a lot of yummy appetizers such as dumplings and pakora, too.

Taj Mahal

You can find this down-to-earth Indian diner on Falls of Neuse Road—it’s just across the street from the Dollar Tree.

This restaurant has a relaxing, family-friendly atmosphere and a lot of delicious menu items to choose from.

If you want something flavorful and satisfying, consider trying their tandoori fish or chicken reshmi kebab. I also recommend their channa masala! It goes well with some peshawari naan bread.

My favorite appetizer here is the butter chicken nachos. They offer plenty of vegetarian and gluten-free dishes, making them ideal for people with special dietary needs.

Their menu even includes some Indo-Chinese dishes like gobi manchurian and hakka noodles.

This restaurant has a colorful, family-friendly atmosphere and a lunch buffet from 11:30 to 2:30! If you want something sweet and refreshing to go with your meal, I recommend the mango milkshake!

This item can make a pretty tasty dessert, too. The Wild Cook’s Indian Grill has plenty of satisfying appetizers to choose from, including classics like samosas and pakora.

I’m also a huge fan of their paneer tikka masala! It tastes delicious with some spinach naan on the side.

Lime & Lemon Indian Grill & Bar lies just on the corner of Hillsborough Street and Friendly Drive. It’s right down the road from Stanhope Student Commons.

So it’s a popular place for college students to get a meal and some drinks. Its modern atmosphere and varied menu make this a very pleasant restaurant to dine in.

If you stop by early in the day, you can enjoy some of their lunch combos. You’ll get a main course, rice, naan, and your choice of drink.

If you want something that’s a blend of sweet and savory, I recommend ordering the mango lime paneer. Or if you want something a little spicy, you may enjoy their knockout chicken.
