The wine list at Bookbinder’s won the Wine Spectator’s Award. My favorite dish is the Kona coffee-crusted filet mignon with garlic fennel compound butter.

Shagbark’s incredible menu is Southern Comfort like you’ve never seen it. I could’ve made a meal out of the starters alone, with dishes like fried green tomatoes over creamy grits with oven-cured tomatoes, smoked sausage, dinosaur kale, and buttermilk blue cheese dressing or Chesapeake Bay Chicken fried oysters with johnnycakes and Tobacco butter.

Definitely check them out to host your next private event like a wedding rehearsal dinner, anniversary party, or cocktail party.

I especially loved the Southern-style banana pudding parfait with banana custard, nilla wafer, and house fluff.
