Located inside the famous Peabody Hotel, the Capriccio Grill is a renowned steakhouse in Memphis. Chef Andreas Kisler blends traditional Southern cuisine and contemporary American dishes for creative cooking. The Filet Mignon and the Spaghetti Bolognese are delicious options. The Capriccio Grill is immaculately decorated during the holidays, so I’d recommend planning your event during that season if possible.

The Peabody and the Capriccio Grill host thousands of people for conferences and events annually. The immaculate interior with lush green carpets and extravagant columns is a breathtaking setting for a great meal. Be sure to plan your event around the marching of the Peabody ducks!

Chef Erling Jensen grew up in Denmark and developed a love for cooking at a young age. He received training at culinary school and then moved to the United States to serve foods at the Danish Embassy in Washington, DC. In 1989, he moved to Memphis. The private dining room offers a lovely white table-clothed room with shelves filled with wine. I recommend the seared diver scallop with vanilla sweet corn and chimichurri; the crispy duck leg confit is also delicious! I enjoyed the Belle Glos Las Alturas Vineyard, Santa Lucia Highlands 2019 pinot noir.

Try the fish flight or the steak flight and pair the meal with various wines. Hosting an event at Flight is a unique experience for your guests. I had an amazing time!

I enjoyed sampling the Wild Mushroom Risotto, Braised Collard Greens, and the Herb-Crusted Lamb Chop. The Grits & Grillades dish is a delight for brunch.

For private dining, the restaurant has multiple spaces that various sizes of groups can separately rent. Specifically, the upstairs private dining area seats thirty people and can hold up to forty people standing. At the same time, the downstairs area can seat up to sixteen people with a max of standing room for twenty guests. Of course, the restaurant will also negotiate the entire section rental for larger parties.

Owen Brennan’s has brought the cajun experience up Interstate 55 from New Orleans through Mississippi and Memphis. My favorites on the menu include the crispy creole crawfish, the gumbo, the etouffee, and especially the Catfish Boudreaux.

The Royal Canal Room accommodates up to fifty-six people and offers a beautiful large tapestry reminiscent of a New Orleans courtyard. Additionally, the Orleans Room is smaller and can seat up to thirty-two people; it can also be divided to hold sixteen people for the most intimate setting.
