Matthew’s Restaurant serves authentic French cuisine in the center of Jacksonville’s San Marco district and they’re easily one of my favorite places to eat in the city.
The restaurant has been a staple in the community for more than twenty-five years. Traditional French and Mediterranean dishes influence Chef Alex Yim, who focuses on creating fresh seafood plates. The dress code is business casual.
Matthew’s has two private dining spaces. The Wine Room seats approximately fifty guests, while The Loft comfortably seats sixteen people. Specific three or four-course menus are available for service in either of the private rooms. Complete the private dining request form on the website, and the restaurant will finalize every detail for the perfect event.

Marker 32 opened in Jacksonville in 1992. Before settling in Florida, chef and owner Ben Groshell studied at the Culinary Institute of America in New York. The restaurant is open daily for dinner and specializes in coastal classics like crab cakes and fried shrimp.
For a private dining event, the restaurant has a dedicated events coordinator. The restaurant is waterfront, so the views from the dining area overlook docked boats and the serene intercoastal waterway. The private dining area is set aside, but guests of your party will still be able to enjoy the restaurant’s vibe.

The Chart House originally began serving creative seafood dishes in the 1960s. With locations across the country, Chart House has perfected hospitality. The Atlantic Salmon with lemon butter is a delicious locally-inspired dish, and the Chart House is the perfect location to enjoy a Key Lime pie.
Chart House offers private dining and event catering. With views of the St. Johns River, the restaurant is perfect for a special occasion event. Groups can choose to enjoy a three-course meal that includes items like clam chowder, prime rib, and shrimp scampi.

Bistro Aix is located in Jacksonville’s San Marco district and has been serving creative French fusion cuisine for more than twenty years. The bistro is named after a province in France. With exposed brick walls and a wood-fired oven, the restaurant is a perfect place for an event. The restaurant is open Monday through Saturday.
For dinner, I enjoyed the Mushroom Rigatoni with parmesan, crème, and cracked red pepper. Other popular menu items for group dining include the French onion soup, Sausage, and Chèvre flatbread, and the Steak Frites Au Poivre. Many wine options are available, from cabernet sauvignon to pinot grigio.

Terra Gaucha Brazilian Steakhouse uses traditional methods to roast meat over natural wood charcoal. In 2020, the restaurant won TripAdvisor’s Traveler’s Choice award. The steakhouse is open daily for lunch and dinner. Groups of more than twelve can complete an online form to request accommodations.
From business meetings to birthday lunches, the steakhouse is a great place to have a celebratory meal. I would recommend the Rodizio Experience, which includes access to the salad bar area, unlimited table-side service of various fire-roasted meats, and warm side dishes from the kitchen.
The Capital Grille

The Capital Grille is a nationally renowned restaurant offering culinary masterpieces and fine wines. Each location is crafted to reflect the local vibe. The Capital Grille is an excellent spot for lunch or dinner, using fresh ingredients and expert cooking skills. The Dry Aged NY Strip au Poivre with a Courvoisier cream is my favorite meal at the restaurant.
In the private dining experience, guests can have a personal event coordinator, customizable menus, and sophisticated wine pairings. In addition, the private rooms have media technology for meetings that might require conference calls or presentations.

Texas de Brazil is an incredible steakhouse that serves traditional Brazilian churrasco cooking. Try the Herb-Marinated Pork Loin or the Filet Mignon Wrapped in Bacon! Slow roasting meats over a flame is an old method that cowboys once used, and the chefs at Texas de Brazil have perfected the technique.
Special events at Texas de Brazil are easy to book and fun to experience. Guests place a colored coaster beside their plates to indicate if they would like to continue to be served as the fire-roasted meats move about the dining room. They serve side dishes family-style, and with the options to add credits for cocktails or purchase a bottle of wine, the dining experience is excellent.

Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant opened in 2005 with the understanding that good food and great wine could bring people together. Not only is Cooper’s a great place to dine in Jacksonville, but it’s a great place to grab a drink too.
The vibe in the restaurant is contemporary and casual, and the cuisine is locally sourced and seasonal. The restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner. Joining the Wine Club offers sundry benefits and points towards meals or events.
The plated lunch is an excellent option for a business meeting, and the menu has great options like Ellie’s Chicken Piccata or the Soy Ginger Atlantic Salmon. I enjoyed the Red Wine Braised Short Ribs served as part of the plated private dinner. Additions like an Artisan Cheese & Candied Bacon station are selling points for hosting an event here!

Seasons 52 is located in St. Johns Town Center and specializes in serving rustic food prepared by brick-oven roasting and wood-fire grilling. Maggiano’s Little Italy in Jacksonville has two terraces overlooking the pond and park near St. Johns Town Center.
The restaurant is open daily between 11:00 am and 10:00 pm. The Executive Chef Jim Nuzzo has been with Maggiano’s since 1996. The brick exterior of the restaurant is classy and perfect for a high-class event.

ChopHouse Thirteen is great for private parties and special events. The Mandarin Room seats twenty guests, while The Cypress Room accommodates forty people. I thought The Cypress Room was beautiful. The restaurant can accommodate any event, from a cocktail party to a sit-down dinner. The plated dinner menu is diverse with chicken, steak, or seafood entree options and various sides and dessert options.

The Melting Pot opened in April 1975 with three menu selections: swiss cheese fondue, beef fondue, and chocolate fondue. Since then, the menu has expanded and as the reach of the restaurant. I enjoyed the Hatch Green Chile Fondu. The restaurant is open daily for dinner.
The Melting Pot in Jacksonville offers a private party room that can accommodate up to forty-eight guests. The events team can assist with audiovisual equipment and bar service. The restaurant offers small rooms with private two-top tables, known as “Lover’s Lane” for special date nights.

III Forks Steakhouse is a modern eatery in the Tapestry Park neighborhood. The restaurant houses more than 1,500 wines in a glass-encased room. From 42-day dry-aged steaks to Wagyu beef, the steakhouse offers superior dishes cooked perfectly. The Chicken Fried Filet Mignon is my favorite dish; it is creative and delicious!
Unique occasion rooms can accommodate small groups and private gatherings of up to forty people. For social or business meetings, the restaurant offers an excellent ambiance. Notably, the restaurant now specializes in hybrid in-person meetings and allows guests to attend virtually using technology!
Morton’s The Steakhouse

Morton’s The Steakhouse is an incredible restaurant offering signature steaks and cocktails to guests across the country. A Jacksonville restaurant with a sophisticated vibe and elegantIn addition, the white linens, Morton’s is the perfect place for a private meeting.
With separate partitions, the private dining rooms offer the opportunity for confidential conversations. In addition, the private dining menu is cultivated to enhance the experience. With silver, gold, and platinum options, private dining can fit in any budget. I enjoyed the prosciutto-wrapped mozzarella, the lobster bisque, and the Prime New York Strip with sour cream mashed potatoes.
Chef’s Garden of Jacksonville

Liz Earnest founded The Chef’s Garden in 2001. Former President George W. Bush and other dignitaries have visited the restaurant. Chef’s Garden is also offering virtual cooking classes! The “Partini” packages are the most exciting for your next event and easy to plan with the restaurant’s staff.
Chef’s Garden of Jacksonville specializes in catering and events. The bacon-wrapped shrimp is delicious. I also enjoyed the lobster eclair with lemon aioli. The beef tenderloin on a crispy potato is savory and delicious. The menu is very extensive and offers selections for every diet from gluten-free and keto to vegetarian.

Inspired by outdoor cowboy-style campfire cooking in the country territories of Brazil, Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse serves various meats with warm side dishes and an extensive cold bar. From corporate meetings to lunch & learn sessions, the restaurant can accommodate your group.
Group dining offers flexible space options and customized packages. Zagat has named Fogo de Chão one of the top restaurants in the country. From Filet Mignon to Beef Ribs to Lamb Steak, the meats served during a private dining session are delicious and varied.
