On Point Bistro is easily one of our favorite brunch restaurants in South Philly. Located in Point Breeze, On Point is at the intersection of Federal Ave and Point Breeze Ave.

This cute restaurant is always packed, has outdoor seating and it’s BYOB. Their customer service is also…on point.

I’m a fan of The Clucker; sweet potato waffle, fried chicken, 2 poached eggs, honey mustard hollandaise, maple syrup. If you’re looking for a lighter option they have sandwiches and other classic breakfast items. Did I mention it’s BYOB, don’t forget the champagne!

Sidecar is a great place to stop for brunch in Grad Hospital. Located at the corner of 22nd and Christian, you’ll always see a crowd here.

My recommendations for brunch are the Porchetta Benedict or the Cauliflower Bahn Mi. If you have a sweet tooth you absolutely must try the Fluff ‘a Nutter Stuffed French Toast.

Fitz and Starts is another great brunch spot located in Queen Village. Stop by for a quick breakfast or pastry on the go, or stay and get a table with some friends. There are a bunch of different menu options to choose from like their daily quiche, biscuits and gravy, or, my favorite, the beer-braised pork sandwich.

They serve Ultimo coffee drinks and boozy drinks. I recommend trying out their hot buttered brandy, breakfast beer, and/or bloody mary.

The Dutch

The Dutch is a delicious South Philly gem. Open on Saturday and Sunday from 8am – 2pm, this breakfast restaurant serves delicious food. It sits right on the corner and is BYOB, pair this with the menu options and you’ll wish you lived down the street.

Morning Glory Diner

When: Saturday – Sunday from 8am – 3pm

I know, I know, this place isn’t technically in South Philly, but it’s worth the mention. This diner often times has a line wrapped around the corner, and for good reason. The homemade meals and service here are unmatched. They don’t take reservations, so you’ll want to get there early. It’s also BYO so bring a pack of beer or a few bottles of champagne to kick off your weekend. Oh, and it’s cash-only so be sure to stop at the ATM on the way.
