Orlando, Florida is one of the most popular cities in Florida to visit on vacation thanks to all the family attractions like Walt Disney World, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Universal Orlando Resort, but those places are just where the fun begins, if you ask me. The real Orlando attractions, in my humble opinion, are the restaurants, particularly when it comes to that Japanese delicacy that everyone loves: sushi.

While sushi might not be the first cuisine that comes to mind when you think of places to eat in Orlando, it really should be because the sushi restaurants in this city are top-tier. If you’d like to know which ones are the absolute best of the best, however, then just keep on reading.
Right down below, you’ll find a guide that I’ve put together ranking the top sushi spots Orlando has to offer for anyone in the area that’s craving fresh sushi, sashimi, nigiri, or anything else sushi-related. Don’t waste any time, go get started eating fresh sushi in Orlando!
Kabooki Sushi

Taking the number-one spot on my list of Orlando sushi restaurants to try is a place called Kabooki Sushi. This restaurant is absolutely amazing and it will surpass every one of your expectations once you taste the delectable cuisine.
Kabuki Sushi has multiple convenient locations around Orlando, but the one I frequent most is located in the same plaza as the Colonial Landing shopping mall and across the street from the Fashion Square Mall. My favorite menu items served at Kabooki Sushi come from the sashimi/nigiri menu section. I love the otoro, kinki, and the bluefin akami.

Right next to the Baldwin Park Village Center near Harbor Park on Lake Baldwin is a wonderful sushi spot in Orlando called Seito Sushi. This is only one of their convenient locations, however, and they have another one in Sand Lake at Phillips Crossing shopping mall.
What I love about Seito Sushi is they offer an incredible selection of Japanese whiskeys that you can sample as well as some very unique, hand-crafted cocktails. I always go for one of their “Seito Sets” when I eat at Seito Sushi and they consist of chef-selected tastings of your choice of fish.
Sushi Tomi
8463 S John Young Pkwy, Orlando, FL 32819

Up next, we have a mind-blowingly awesome sushi restaurant called Sushi Tomi. This place is known for their enormous assortment of sushi as well as other delicious Japanese dishes that are definitely worth a try. I really enjoy the spicy tuna bowl from Sushi Tomi, it comes with amazingly fresh spicy tuna over a bowl of sushi rice. It’s one of my favorite lunches to order when I’m in Orlando.
Check out Sushi Tomi off of South John Young Parkway inside the Sand Lake Corners South shopping mall, so if you’re out on a shopping spree, stop in for some sushi!
Dragonfly Robata Grill & Sushi
7972 Via Dellagio Way, Orlando, FL 32819
Phone: 407-370-3359
Visit Website
Right inside the shopping hotspot that is the Dellagio Town Center mall is an incredible sushi spot called Dragonfly Robata Grill & Sushi. If you’re in the area and you happen to be craving some fresh sushi, be sure to pay them a visit. You definitely won’t regret it.
The sushi options are nearly endless here at Dragonfly Robata, so I suggest ordering some sake while you peruse the menu thoroughly to ensure you don’t miss out on anything tasty. My favorite roll is one that they call the “Krispy Krunch”, it comes with tuna, snow crab, avocado, cream cheese, and it’s fried with panko crumbs.
The Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar
6000 Universal Blvd, Orlando, FL 32819
Phone: 407-224-3663
The Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar is a very unique, bustling hotspot for sushi that you can find on Universal Boulevard inside the Universal CityWalk Orlando, part of Universal Orlando Resort. If you’re lucky enough to be spending the day at this unbelievable theme park, then definitely think about grabbing some sushi from here.
I have never seen a fusion restaurant quite like The Cowfish. They offer something called “burgushi” that is actually a wild combination of burgers and sushi that seems a bit strange at first, but trust me, it’s worth a try so don’t be afraid to branch out.
Kadence
1809 Winter Park Rd, Orlando, FL 32803
Visit Website
This next place is called Kadence and I really think you’re going to love this place, especially if you’ve never had the pleasure of dining here before. Kadence is a sushi heaven, if you ask me, and the menu here has everything you could possibly be craving.
Kadence isn’t your typical sushi joint, though. This place is upscale and actually operates on a reservation-only basis, so definitely plan accordingly if you want to dine here. The menu is always changing here at Kadence, so you’re not likely to encounter the same delicious dish twice.
Kobe Japanese Steakhouse

When you want an authentic Japanese sushi experience in Orlando, Kobe Japanese Steakhouse is unlike any other and it’s definitely a place I recommend checking out. Look for them near ICON Park and the Wyndham Orlando Resort International Drive.
Not only do they offer top-quality sushi, Kobe Japanese Steakhouse is also a spectacular hibachi restaurant where the chefs will put on quite the show for guests. As for the sushi, however, they have a long list of specialty rolls that I recommend perusing. I always go for the grilled lobster roll and the golden dragon roll.
Shin Japanese Cuisine
803 N Orange Ave, Orlando, FL 32801
Phone: 407-648-8000
Visit Website
If you’re ever in Downtown Orlando and you’re looking for a place to get some of the freshest sushi you’ve ever tasted, you need to seek out Shin Japanese Cuisine. They’re over on North Orange Avenue inside the One Orlando Centre, right near the Courtyard by Marriott Orlando Downtown.
When you get to Shin, I recommend starting with some sake to wet your whistle. After that, you should definitely consider ordering the nigiri moriawase. Selecting this option rewards you with a chef’s assortment of 10 pieces of nigiri, each piece more delicious than the last, chosen by the master.
Sushi Katana
4192 Conroy Rd #103, Orlando, FL 32839
Phone: 407-345-0055
Visit Website
Right inside the Shoppes at Millenia and right next to the Lilly Pulitzer Mall at Millenia is a very popular, casual Japanese restaurant that has some of the most delicious and fresh sushi that you can find in the city. Not to mention, it’s a great location to visit if you’re out doing some shopping that day and you happen to get hungry.
If you’re just stopping in for a couple of drinks and a snack, I recommend ordering the sashimi sampler or the nigiri sampler to go with your cocktail, but they have a much more extensive sushi selection for anyone looking to stay a while and eat.
Sushi Kichi Japanese Restaurant
5368 Central Florida Pkwy, Orlando, FL 32821
Phone: 407-778-1953
Visit Website
Sushi Kichi Japanese Restaurant is a lovely place to go when you want fresh, delicious sushi in Orlando. They’re located inside the Williamsburg Downs Shopping Center off of Central Florida Parkway, right next to the Publix Super Market.
This place is pretty low-key and relaxed, but it’s all authentic and the food is simply amazing. I come here often to see what their daily specials are. Sometimes they have great deals on bento boxes or sushi and sashimi sets. However, the lunch specials are always a good deal here at Sushi Kichi if you’re not looking to spend too much money.
Oudom Thai & Sushi Orlando
100 S Eola Dr #105, Orlando, FL 32801
Phone: 407-849-3739
Visit Website
This next place, Oudom Thai & Sushi, might be last on this list, but that doesn’t mean you should wait until last to try this amazing sushi restaurant. I absolutely love coming here for sushi when I’m in town and I think you’ll love it just as much once you try the food.
Oudom Thai & Sushi is located near Downtown Orlando and Lake Eola Park, so there’s plenty of fun things to do nearby. When you get here, though, be sure to check the chalkboard for the chef specials because they’re always swapping them out with even better dishes.
