First on our list of best restaurants in Brooklyn Heights is Noodle Pudding. This neighborhood Italian restaurant is located on Henry Street, a block east of Cadman Plaza Park.
Relax in classic cozy interiors of brick walls, wooden chairs, and checkered tablecloths topped with votive candles.
With rustic-style Italian cuisine, I love that you can find fresh pasta, great seafood, and quality wine that’s affordable. Start with the calamari appetizer and order any pasta dish with a tomato-based sauce, especially in the summer when tomatoes are fresh!
Note that this unassuming restaurant doesn’t have a sign out front, but the gorgeous glowing paneled windows and box flower garden will cue you in. Bring cash since they don’t accept cards. And they don’t take reservations, but they have outdoor seating and extra seating at the bar.

Serving the neighborhood for over 40 years, you get an authentic taste of Brooklyn here. Enjoy the unassuming casual black matte-painted walls and neon signs on brick.
Sit back in black lacquer chairs and tables and enjoy New American cuisine. What makes Henry’s End unique is their fall and winter seasonal wild game menu. Try the elk steak or rabbit tagliatelle for a refined taste with no hints of gaminess. They also have exceptional seafood.

Colonie is on Atlantic Avenue near Henry Street, just a few blocks from the BQE and the Brooklyn Bridge Park entrance. Step inside to an industrial feel with pendant lamps, antique mirrors, and wooden and brick all over.
Inspired by the local multicultural history of Brooklyn, Chef Jared Braithwaite helped establish Colonie with Dutch and Italian influences. From the open kitchen, he cooks up American fare largely sourced from several local farms. You must start with the roasted carrots and order the duck breast entree.
Their wine selection is also naturally sourced, and they seek sustainable vendors and serve local craft beers and fun, creative cocktails. When Colonie isn’t open, check out their sister wine bar, PIPS, next door!

Table 87 established their first family-owned location on Atlantic Avenue between Hicks and Henry Street in 2012. Since then, they have established two more locations in Brooklyn. Today you can buy their pizzas frozen in local stores and on their website.
Here, you can try the best coal oven pizza in the borough, served by the slice or whole pie. They also serve entrees, pasta dishes, and dessert pizzas. You can’t go wrong with their classic Margherita pizza for the table. They also recently added an extensive collection of wine and beer to their menu at the Atlantic Avenue location.

Chez Moi makes my list of best restaurants in Brooklyn Heights for the atmosphere and quality dishes. Come for a true Parisian experience, and don’t be rushed out the door. Take your time enjoying your meal at this casual and cozy but popular stop on Atlantic Avenue.
I highly suggest the steak tartare appetizer. If you’re coming for dinner, order the steak frites and don’t fill up on drinks. After your meal, step behind the secret door behind the bookcase. It leads to a secret cocktail lounge in the basement! Also, call ahead to make reservations if you don’t want to wait for a table. However, Chez Moi is worth a little wait!

Chef Allen Dabagh created Boutros in the heart of Brooklyn with his father in mind. Located on Atlantic Avenue near 4th Avenue, the restaurant is named after the chef’s father. On my list of best restaurants in Brooklyn Heights, Boutrous found a way to come across cool but not unwelcoming. From the grey paneled exterior to the rope pendant lights on the bar, this place is beautiful.
With so many great restaurants in Brooklyn Heights, Boutros stands out with a fusion of American and Middle Eastern dishes. The roasted beet hummus is delicious. For brunch, try Boutros’ take on avocado toast with roasted chickpeas or get the half chicken for dinner.

Located on the corner of Hicks Street and Montague Street, Dellarocco’s is a beautiful Italian restaurant. Just a block from the Brooklyn Heights Promenade, order a pie to enjoy with views of lower Manhattan. However, you’ll also love dining in, with Dellarocco’s atmosphere and airy, minimalist interiors.
Go for the pizza made in wood-burning stoves, but stay for the fresh vegetables and salads. Order the Caprese appetizer, and don’t overlook the Kale Caesar salad. Try the Arrabbiata pizza and order it with a gluten-free crust if you wish.

From shawarma and kebabs to moussaka and stuffed grape leaves, Heights Falafel has all your cart favorites and more. Enjoy interacting with the friendly staff and try the falafel sandwich. Order a side of hummus and pita bread and save room for baklava for dessert.

At the sleepy end of Joralemon Street, where it turns into Bridge Park Drive, you’ll find River Deli. The building has roots as an old goods store near the docks with the name River Deli over the door frame. The Sardinian Italian immigrant restaurateurs who took it over found that the original name naturally stuck and honored Brooklyn Heights history with it.
On my list of best restaurants in Brooklyn Heights, River Deli is a casual neighborhood mainstay. They offer rustic Mediterranean dishes with ingredients like local seafood and seasonal vegetation. With family recipes, I suggest the spinach and ricotta ravioli or the lamb ragu. Note that they only take cash but have an ATM out front.

Working with experts in public sound systems, Bohemien Bar has focused on the sound experience of patrons. Besides this, it’s simply a stunning restaurant with fun and delicious bites.
Enjoy inventive cocktails with names like Echo Chamber and Mambo No. 5 at the marble-topped teak wood U-shaped bar. Try fun bar food like the crispy cauliflower or order the fish tacos. Listen to the DJ spin tracks on vinyl while you take in all of the atmosphere.

Across from the Blue and Yellow Playground on Henry Street, you’ll find Henry Public. An ode to old-school Brooklyn, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped back in time. Inside, find neo-colonial booths and barstools, whitewashed wood, and simple light fixtures. Henry Public seeks to honor the tavern history of Brooklyn and Kings County.
Even the menu is timeless, with grass-fed burgers and Henry Public’s take on a whiskey sour, the Kings County Sour. For an authentic experience that fits the environment, order the bone marrow on toast and the radishes with butter. They have a simple but full wine and beer list. Find two8two Bar & Burger on Atlantic Avenue near bustling Smith Street. One of the best restaurants in Brooklyn Heights, two8two is a simple, unassuming bar serving freshly ground local burgers. They source their meat from local Los Paisanos, a popular Smith Street butcher that’s been a part of Brooklyn for decades.
Sit by the window and order a Half and Half burger. This half beef, half bacon patty topped with poblano chiles and cheddar cheese pairs excellently with any of two8two’s artisan beer. Make sure to get the sweet potato fries, and you have a quality Brooklyn Heights meal.

For a classic Grand Canyon experience, order the jalapeño poppers and the chili burger.

The final stop on my list of best restaurants in Brooklyn Heights is a local microbrew pub. Henry Street Ale House has been on Henry Street between Orange and Cranberry Street for over 25 years.
They keep a live update on their website of what’s currently on tap, usually over a dozen options of ales, stouts, ciders, and more. To go with the great beer on tap or in a bottle, they offer the best, most comforting bar food. Enjoy a shepherd’s pie or buffalo wings, or order my favorite, the chili with nachos.
Like any good pub, they cater to game lovers and cast the most popular sports events. Henry Street Ale House also offers other drinks like scotch and whiskey.
