It is the second-most populous city in Florida and a tourism hub full of must-see attractions, from incredible museums to outdoor sports and aquatic wildlife tours.

While Miami has a robust Caribbean and Cuban food scene, other international flavors are also present throughout the city.

For instance, various tasty Italian eateries in the metro Miami area offer authentic and delicious dishes.

Macchialina is a lively trattoria offering rustic Italian recipes in a stylish setting with exposed brick.

The restaurant is open daily for dinner until 11:00 pm.

It is located in the Flamingo-Lummus neighborhood near the water.

I enjoyed the local burrata with heirloom tomatoes and prosciutto when I visited.

For my entree, I chose the classic spaghetti Pomodoro.

The chef’s tasting menu is a great option to enjoy a variety of options, and guests can add a wine pairing to the tasting menu for only fifty-five dollars.

Check out the martini or mocktail menu for options with no alcohol.

Boia De

Boia De is located near a Bravo Supermarket by the Little Haiti Community Center.

The restaurant is open for dinner every evening, except Thursday.

The yellow and green logo is cute, and the space is classy yet casual.

Start your meal with baked clams or marinated mussels.

I also enjoyed the pappardelle with rabbit and rosemary.

The carrot cake and affogato are popular desserts. The wine menu is extensive and diverse with options from France, Italy, and California.

Casa Tua

Casa Tua is a memorable Italian dining experience here in Miami.

There are several gorgeous spaces to enjoy a quality meal within the restaurant, including the private Chef’s Table, the Club, and the cozy library.

However, the lush, lantern-lit garden spaces are my favorite spots to eat.

Tropical flora and fauna and romantic lighting surround you while you sip glass after glass of incredible wine.

Casa Tua is also an incredible spot for an authentic Italian meal.

I recommend starting with a selection of Bester Caviar and Oysters or the Chefs Daily Cheese Selection.

Follow up with the Ricotta Cavatelli with Heirloom Tomatoes and Fresh Basil, and finish with a slice of their rich, tasty tiramisu.

Fiola Miami

The Italian cuisine experience at Fiola Miami is not to be missed.

They offer a 3-course lunch Tuesday through Friday, bottomless Champagne brunches on Sunday afternoons, and an Aperitivo Hour from 4-7 pm on the weekdays.

They base their menu on regional Italian dishes and use fresh, seasonal ingredients.

The restaurant has an extensive menu, which makes paring down the best dishes a challenge.

They offer a quality raw bar selection, house-made pasta dishes, and a range of meat and fresh seafood.

During my dinner visit, I started with the Strawberry Gazpacho and a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon.

Afterward, I ordered a half-order of the Fiola Lobster Ravioli with a side of grilled artichoke hearts.

Ristorante Fratelli Milano

Run by brothers Chef Roberto and Chef Emanuele Bearzi, Ristorante Fratelli Milano is an award-winning restaurant beloved in the community.

Here, you can enjoy your meal and several daily specials in an elegant, candlelit dining room with all of your friends and family.

The incredibly crafted menu comes from their mother’s authentic Northern Italy recipes.

The pair combine fresh seafood, seasonal produce, and scrumptious pasta dishes for a taste of Italy in the heart of downtown Miami.

I highly recommend you enjoy one or two of their famous Nutella-filled Italian doughnuts at the end of your meal.

If you’re in the mood for fine Italian dining in a spot with incredible views of Miami’s waterfront, Il Gabbiano is the restaurant to try.

It is bursting with elegance and class, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that attracts customers from all walks of life.

I recommend trying the Gnocchi Pomodoro e Basilico or the Asparagi Farciti.

In addition to a wide selection of wine and Italian spirits, Osteria Morini offers a list of signature Negroni Cocktails and beer.

I recommend pairing the Aperol Crush with the Battilardo meat and cheese plate or the Fritto Misto calamari appetizer.

For the main event, you can’t do better than the Agnello, an herb-crusted rack of lamb with eggplant caponata.

Pane & Vino is the best place in Miami to experience handmade pasta.

The restaurant, located in the Kasa El Paseo Hotel, is a sophisticated spot that is equal parts casual and elegant.

During my visit, I tried the Polpo Alla Griglia, or grilled Spanish octopus, to start my meal.

Then, I tried the Fiocchetti Pere & Parmigiano, a delicious handmade pasta stuffed with pear and parmesan cheese and served in a caramelized leek and black sesame sauce.

Sapore di Mare

Tucked next door to a UPS Store in Coconut Grove, the quaint Italian spot is a charming collection of blue, white, and red decor that transports guests to the Amalfi and Capri Coast.

The restaurant menu features a raw bar, fresh homemade pasta, and an award-winning wine list.

I recommend starting with the lobster ravioli in a creamy lobster bisque.

For the entree, I recommend the oven-cooked branzino with roasted potatoes and seasonal vegetables.

Carbone is a unique and imaginative Italian restaurant.

They offer a specially cultivated menu that features antipasti, fresh soup and salad, pasta, and meat and seafood dishes.

They also serve up an impressive list of wine and cocktails.

During my visit to Carbone, I had a Whiskey Sour and an incredible glass of Italian red wine.

For my main dish, I ordered the Veal Parmesan with a side of Broccoli Rabe

Casa Isola Osteria is a favorite Italian restaurant amongst the locals in the Sunset Harbour neighborhood.

The restaurant is open for dinner Tuesday through Sunday and features an authentic menu with scratch-made dishes.

They also recently opened a large, al-fresco patio space with cozy booths and charming decorations.

Every dish on the menu at Casa Isola Osteria is as bold and affordable as it is refined.

I recommend starting with the baked clams and pairing them with the short rib ravioli.

For dessert, you can’t go wrong with their sweet and savory Parmesan Cheesecake.

If you’re planning on traveling to the area and want to sample one of the best Italian restaurants in Miami, try CRUST.

CRUST’s award-winning menu features pizza and authentic Italian dishes made with only the freshest ingredients.  

CRUST serves a lengthy list of red and white wines, plus a series of Italian-specific wines sold by the bottle.

They also offer a limited selection of classic cocktails and beer.

I recommend ordering the shrimp cakes as an appetizer and the Penne Bolognese.

CRUST makes a mean Hawaiian pizza as well.

For a modern, fine dining Italian experience with beautiful plates, I recommend stopping by dōma.

The restaurant is in the Wynwood Art District next door to the Nader Museum in a funky black and white striped building.

The kitchen is run by Chef Giugliano, a Naples native with a passion for crafting incredible Mediterranean and Italian food.

My favorite dishes on the menu include the Zucchini Flowers Tempura, the classic Bucatini “Cacio E Pepe,” and the Artichokes Prawns Risotto.

I also recommend their contemporary cocktail, The Alchemist, which is a gin, rosemary, grapefruit, and Italian lemon concoction that is both zingy and refreshing.

Luca Osteria is the best place to experience creative Italian classic dishes in Miami.

The restaurant is a welcoming space with an inventive menu and a unique cocktail list.

Of the two dozen cocktails and aperitivi available, I recommend trying the Florida Spritz or the Costiera.

Both are bright, fizzy, and full of citrus flavor.

When you’re ready to eat, pair your order of the marinated olives with the Pasta al Pesto or the Double-Cut Lamb Chops.

Mi’talia Kitchen & Bar

Mi’talia Kitchen & Bar is a delightful interpretation of Northern and Southern Italian meals.

They are open for lunch and dinner, with multiple daily specials, including discounted pizza and pasta nights and a daily happy hour from 4 to 6 pm.

I happen to stop by Mi’talia Kitchen & Bar on Tuesday, which is Artisanal Pizza Night.

I enjoyed their unique take on the Margarita pizza alongside their buffalo trace cocktail Summer in Sorrento.

I recommend their tiramisu or a scoop of the Hazelnut Chocolate Crunch gelato for dessert.
