While Miami is known for its world-class nightlife, don’t overlook the city’s excellence in daytime foods, especially brunches. Not many things will make me get out of bed and leave the house on a weekend morning, but brunch in Miami is always worth it.

When putting together my list of where to get brunch in Miami, I tried to name as diverse a selection as possible.

You’ll find hip places with drag shows, live music, and bottomless mimosas, as well as quiet, laidback diners perfect for a casual start to the day.

You have to order the coconut French toast or the cinnamon pancakes. These sweet treats are some of the best brunch items I’ve ever had. 

The drink menu is extensive, with various specialty cocktails, wines, and craft beers, including a rotating selection of local brews like the Tank Brewing Freedom Tower Amber Ale and the Biscayne Bay Brewing Company’s Miami Pale Ale.

Yardbird Table & Bar is an upscale Southern-inspired brunch spot with several locations throughout the greater Miami area. The branch on Lenox Ave. is in the trendy South Beach neighborhood. 

The brunch menu features classic Southern dishes with a twist, such as the chicken ‘n’ watermelon ‘n’ waffles, the shrimp ‘n’ grits, and the biscuits’ n’ gravy.

If you are ready for a slightly different atmosphere, head to the R House. They have a fun drag brunch, and as good as the food is, the performance is better.

The restaurant features a colorful and artsy décor complemented by a vibrant atmosphere. They have fun family-style options, including fried chicken, Cuban breakfast croissants, and French toast.

You can also get vegan options. They have a wide variety of drinks, but I recommend their pineapple full of pina colada. 


B Bistro + Bakery

The menu is inspired by French cuisine with a Miami twist, featuring classic dishes such as Croque Madame and Eggs Benedict and unique options like croissant loaf french toast and salmon tartine.

They have a fascinating selection of wine and sake-based cocktails, a pleasant change from other brunch offerings.
