The vibe at High Rooftop Lounge is a hip, yet casual beachside bar with California-inspired cuisine. They have a full lunch, brunch, and dinner menu, plus a great workweek happy.
I loved their tropical takes on classic cocktails, like Godzilla Mule with Japanese vodka, lychee juice, and tree lime yuzu.

Located atop West Hollywood’s Hotel 1 with views of the famous sunset strip, Harriet’s Rooftop is an elegant destination to enjoy seasonal drinks, dinner, and weekend brunch.
Their beautiful drinks have been featured in Thirsty and Kismet. I ordered the Blue Velvet with Bacardi White rum, crème de Violette, lime, and blueberry.

Appropriately named, Perch is a gorgeous French Bistro and bar that occupies the top two floors of the Pershing Square Building in Downtown LA.
The lower level has a glorious outdoor patio with an elegant high-ceilinged interior where you can dine on decadent French cuisine.
The rooftop bar has giant fire pits, ornately tiled floors, and mismatched tables, creating a bohemian atmosphere to sip a fine French wine by firelight.

You can enjoy creative cocktails with silly names and scratch-made American cuisine while listening to live DJ sets and competing in ping pong tournaments.
I loved the Peach Please cocktail with peach, lime, mezcal, and Aperol.

They have the most creative and exotic cocktails I’ve seen. Take, for example, the PB & J Old Fashioned with peanut butter fat washed lot rye, bourbon, guava cordial, and everything bagel bitters.

Its chic rooftop patio is cluttered with succulents and tropical plants surrounding modern wooden tables and wicker chairs.
Cocktails take inspiration from Mexico, with classic margaritas, mezcal drinks, rum punches, and Micheladas.
I had a delicious margarita to accompany an authentic plate of Carne Asada tacos with salsa de arbol, cilantro, and shallots over hand-made corn tortillas.

Its old-world atmosphere is a romantic ambiance for date nights and lively get-togethers alike.
They have an extensive wine list and an expertly curated cocktail list to accompany Spanish-inspired tapas items.
I enjoyed the Moonchild cocktail, with scotch, lemon, banana-ginger, orange honey, and walnut bitters.

Spire 73 is a special occasion experience, offering the finest wines, bubblies, cocktails, and New American cuisine.

The simple yet delicious menu of southwestern-style bar fare and cocktails is also an affordable option. They have a great happy hour with cheap chips and salsa and a rotating Chef’s favorite cocktail.

I loved the French Riviera, with gin, chartreuse, maraschino liqueur, pineapple gomme, and lime.

Celestina is a festive Mexican cabana bar on the roof of The Shay hotel in Culver City.
The rooftop has a large pool with cozy lounge chairs and a crystal fireplace surrounded by lush tropical plants and lovely views of the downtown LA skyline and the Hollywood hills.
They serve authentic Mexican cuisine with creative plating.
I especially enjoyed their spiked paletas, Mexican-style tropical fruit popsicles spiked with tequila or mezcal. They taste like a trip to Mexican paradise.

L.P. is the rooftop bar with massive patio space to enjoy small plates and cocktails to the beat of live DJ sets or amazing soundtracks.
In addition to fun cocktails named after famous songs, they also have a killer bar snack menu. I was feeling festive and went for a pina colada to accompany a pair of Baja fish tacos with tomatillo salsa and crema.

I recommend trying a black mamba mezcal, blackberry, and habanero cocktail to pair with seafood risotto.

Located in the Mondrian Los Angeles Hotel along Sunset Strip, Skybar offers two different Hollywood glamour experiences: a hip pool party and an elegant sunset cocktail hour.
Cocktails are expertly mixed, and they also offer a seasonal menu of frozen cocktails, beer, cider, and seltzers.
I went for the sunny poolside experience, so I went for the refreshing Watermelon Julep drink with vodka, watermelon juice, lemon juice, and mint simple syrup.
