29 Best Steakhouses in Las Vegas

delicious grilled ribeye served with butter at a steakhouse in Las Vegas

Las Vegas, a city that revels in opulence and grandeur, extends its lavish spirit to the quintessential American steakhouse. The greatest steakhouses in Las Vegas are more than just places to eat; they’re shrines to the best cuts, with each steak being a work of art that’s as painstakingly prepared as the most lavish productions in the city. Amid the razzle-dazzle of casino lights, these temples to the carnivorous celebrate the art of the steak, from the sear of premium aged beef to the perfect pairing of a robust red wine. Chefs here are the high rollers of the culinary world, dealing out marbled ribeyes, butter-topped filet mignons, and bone-in tomahawks with the flair of a card shark. So, ready your steak knives for a luxurious journey through the sizzling heart of Las Vegas’s steak scene.

This upscale Old Vegas-style restaurant has a menu centered around in-house aged, corn-fed beef plus Italian specialties, so if you’re not a big fan of steak and are visiting with someone who is, you’ll both walk away happy. It’s best to make a reservation; however, you may find seats at the bar if you arrive without one. While the steaks are excellent and the service is fantastic, my favorite dishes are the ones served tableside. Their caesar salad and either bananas foster or cherries jubilee, depending on when you visit, will have you captivated. Top the whole experience off with Sinatra playing for ambiance, and you have a great night.

Located inside the Wynn Hotel and next to the Lake of Dreams, SW Steakhouse has a great menu and one of my favorite light and music shows. Dine inside or on a nice night, try the beautiful outdoor terrace for dining, and watch the nighttime show. It is a great place to impress a date, especially if they love food. The menu serves luxury items well-prepared with dishes like Japanese Wagyu, outrageously huge tomahawk steaks, or try my pick of sea scallops with English pea risotto and black truffle sauce. I like it with a revamped classic cocktail like their improved Old Fashioned.

Located in The D casino, Andiamo Steakhouse is a great place to use some of your winnings from the slots and poker tables on a beautiful meal in a luxurious atmosphere. It’s a restaurant that you would be okay paying more, but like me, you’ll be grateful not to pay strip prices for a high-end steakhouse experience. All their steaks are excellent, and I can’t choose just one. If pressed, I’d say try a bone-in New York strip crusted with Gorgonzola Dolce and a side of the zip sauce! It’s a magical sauce they serve with their steaks that makes a premium cut of meat somehow taste even better.

With locations in Las Vegas and Sacramento, Echo & Rig in Las Vegas sits just 15 minutes away from the Strip. This isn’t the traditional steakhouse in look or menu. They moved away from dark colors and leather to embrace the airy style of a butcher counter with glass, metal, and wood to showcase meat. Another untraditional touch, Echo & Rig, even offers my preferred but less known cut, the Spencer Steak, a rich cut similar to a rib-eye but with even more flavor. Give it a try. Pair it with small plates like pork belly burnt ends, various vegetables, or have some surf with your turf.

5. Bazaar Meat

Bazaar Meat, located in the Sahara hotel, is the brainchild of James Beard award-winning chef José Andrés. He set out to conquer meat, and the menu shows it with many different variations. This restaurant is a love letter to carnivores with three categories of steaks organized by size from ‘small guys’ to ‘big guys.’ However, if you want to experience meat heaven as I did, take a trip through Japan with their different types of traditional Wagyu and Kobe beef. Don’t miss out on the cotton candy foie gras, one of the small ways Bazaar Meat shows it doesn’t take itself too seriously.

Going to Bavette’s, I expected fine-dining. I received it without it being stuffy as that’s the hallmark of the Bavette restaurant in Chicago, and Bavette’s Steakhouse located in Park MGM delivered. They are a traditional steakhouse that has embraced french food and brings it to their guests with style and excellent service. Even as I was dining alone at the bar, I still received great service. This is a great place to celebrate a special occasion over steak tartare, seafood towers, and perfectly done filet mignons making sure to wash it down with one of their wines from their curated international wine list or a strong tasty cocktail.

Only a block from the famous Vegas Vic cowboy neon sign and within walking distance of the Mob Museum, Oscar’s Steakhouse located in the Plaza hotel above the casino is more than just a great dinner. Oscar’s also features special evening events like their Dinner Series. It’s memorable food and entertaining storytelling. In addition to a menu that features addictive crab cakes and 20 oz bone-in rib-eyes cooked to your specifications, guests can enjoy a three-course meal and specially made martini while listening to former mayor Oscar Goodman talk about being a criminal defense attorney and his experiences with the mob in Vegas.

Situated in Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, try the six-course tasting menu covering the highlights on their menu with carefully chosen wine pairings. I’ve been to Edge multiple times, and every time, the service is impeccable with friendly servers who can make honest recommendations based on your taste. I took the opportunity to indulge in caviar as an appetizer, dry-aged filet steaks, but most importantly, I managed to save room for dessert. You need to try dessert. Mainly, try the chocolate sphere. It has a chocolate brownie praline, chocolate mousse, raspberries, and a salted caramel sauce.

Venture to the Palazzo Las Vegas hotel, to CUT by Wolfgang Puck, which showcases the food of acclaimed chef and celebrity Wolfgang Puck. Even with locations worldwide, CUT manages to still say Vegas with a blend of steakhouse meets Japanese. It’s a destination restaurant with tourists and locals wanting to visit it and see what the hype is about. From USDA Prime Nebraska corn-fed, 35-day dry-aged steaks to Wagyu Beef, there will be a cut of meat to suit everyone in your party. I tried the surf side of the menu and thoroughly enjoyed tuna tataki with seaweed salad.

Let’s head back downtown to Fremont Street, where this romantic and stylish restaurant is located inside the Golden Nugget hotel. It’s the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion like a birthday with an extensive wine menu and to die for desserts that everyone will be talking about long after they leave. As a steakhouse, Vic & Anthony’s Steakhouse doesn’t disappoint. Although you may be tempted to go for the rib-eye, try their tender Wagyu rib cap and innovative cocktails like their lavender lemontini. Pair your steak with duck fat potatoes and their Old Las Vegas charm, and you’re sure to have a great time.

Classic steak restaurants can be hit or miss. Still, Del Frisco’s has learned how to keep that ambiance of Old Vegas, sleek sophistication without losing an air of comfort in their Paradise Rd. location suited blocks from the Flamingo and Caesars Palace hotels. While you can expect to pay more in Las Vegas, it’s nice to share dishes and get a bit more for your dollar.I appreciated how many of their menu items are devoted to sharing dishes. On the cold side, there are seafood towers and tuna tartare with jumbo lump crab cakes on the hot side. One thing you won’t want to share is the desserts. I recommend the salted caramel chocolate mousse with miniature chocolate cookies.

12. Delmonico Steakhouse

If you’re staying at a hotel on the Las Vegas Strip, you owe it to yourself to make the trip to the Delmonico Steakhouse located inside the Venetian Hotel. The restaurant is owned by TV personality and celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse who has drawn on his roots and created a Creole-inspired steakhouse. His fusion menu boasts traditional steakhouse items blended with Southern flavors, creating items like traditional gumbo and barbeque shrimp alongside bone-in rib-eye steaks. Make sure to save room for the banana cream pie for dessert and enjoy one of the 700 whiskey selections on offer.

Dinner and a show is a common refrain in Las Vegas and this steakhouse inside the Bellagio Hotel & Casino not only has amazing food but a fantastic view of the Bellagio fountains. The restaurant boasts big names. Decorated by Michael DeSantis in chocolate brown and Tiffany blue and headed by four-star and celebrity chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. The chef has created a menu with beautiful creations like truffle mashed potatoes, Dover sole filleted at the table, and dry-aged ribeyes. Not often do vegetables take the spotlight, but don’t miss out on their broccoli sides with jalapeno, cheddar, and mint.

Vintage Vegas inside the Circus Circus hotel, THE Steak House may be the restaurant that used to be a well-kept secret, but no more! You’ll need reservations to dine here, but it’s worth the extra step for a date night away from the kids. The moment you step through the doors, the aroma of cooking meat hits you in the best possible way. All the steaks are cooked in sizable open-hearth mesquite barbeque broilers. If you didn’t have an appetite before, you will now. Sit in old-school red leather booths and enjoy classics like lobster tail, New York strip, and french onion soup

Primal Steakhouse Las Vegas

Located off the Strip, Primal Steakhouse is worth the cost of a short car share ride to get from your hotel to the restaurant. Sum up the whole experience as stellar service and a mind-blowing menu. Primal’s executive chef Angel Lopez has assisted with opening some of the most popular restaurants in Las Vegas, including Hells Kitchen by Gordon Ramsay. The menu is meat-centric with different types and sizes of steaks. I like the 16 oz smoked New York strip or the 35 oz bison tomahawk paired with killer cocktails like the Dark Heart, which combines bourbon and mulled wine with lemon and Cointreau.

Redwood Steakhouse Las Vegas

Classy without being stuffy, this friendly steakhouse located in the California Hotel in Downtown Las Vegas will offer something many other steakhouses can’t, and that’s being affordable to a large variety of tourists. After walking through the Fremont Experience, it’s only a short walk to the Redwood for drinks and a great meal. The prices are reasonable on their own, but side dishes are large enough for sharing, and the steaks and specialties won’t break the bank. Try the lamb chops or bone-in ribeye. If you would prefer to try one of their specialties, I highly recommend the cioppino made up of a variety of shellfish in a spicy marinara with linguine pasta.

Another off-strip addition, Herbs & Rye, is really about craft cocktails and the best steak with cozy wood and leather interiors. Many restaurants have a craft cocktail menu, but this is the place to appreciate them with a drinks menu separated by the era the US introduced the cocktails. Try the Bee’s Knees cocktail or the Hemingway Daiquiri for an example of their talents. Don’t overlook the surf and turf it features, a perfectly cooked 9 oz filet mignon and a 9 oz lobster tail accompanied by garlic mash, asparagus, and a red wine glaze.

Lawry’s the Prime Rib has something for everyone and a history of satisfying customers. However, what they do best is in the name, and if you visit Lawry’s, you should try the prime rib and, in particular, what they do best: full prime rib dinners. There isn’t just one cut available either. They offer prime rib dinners of five different cuts, with the California cut being the lightest option up to the beef bowl double-cut for people with big appetites. All the dinners include salad, Yorkshire pudding, au jus, whipped horseradish, and mashed potatoes.

Fogo de Chao is a great place to start if you’ve never been to a Brazilian Steakhouse. Located off the Strip in the Hughes Center business park, they can offer slightly lower prices due to their location, but the main reason to visit is the all-you-can-eat meat and sides. The meats are brought to you, and you always have fresh food on offer. There are plenty of choices. Ten or more all-you-can-eat fire-roasted meats are included in the Churrasco experience, plus the option to pay more to add premium meats like Wagyu. Save room for the delicious caramelized bananas included with the meal and spend a little extra to have one of their non-alcoholic drinks like the grapefruit elderflower spritz.

Two stories tall with a tavern-style open bar lounge, the Smith & Wollensky makes its presence known amongst the Grand Canal Shoppes as part of the Venetian Hotel property. Within walking distance of Madame Tussauds wax museum, the warm and inviting atmosphere makes it a great date night or just going solo, especially if you’re already staying in the Venetian. All their canopies advertise their steak and chips, which are great but consider my favorite dishes, the truffle mac and cheese, and their fried lobster. You can’t go wrong with ordering a few starters instead of a full meal, either. The steak tartare has bone marrow croutons, and the confit bacon has a bourbon glaze to die for.

Brunch is easy to come by in Las Vegas, but how long has it been since you’ve had brunch at an authentic Brazilian steakhouse? Via Brasil has not only a great dinner menu but an affordable and delicious brunch menu. It’s a fun environment with a good location, just a short ride from the strip.Brunch gives you all-you-can-eat grilled meats, carved tableside, caramelized pineapple, and all of what you usually expect for brunch, like an omelet bar and waffle stations. After 5 pm is an all-night happy hour, and their dinner menu features an all-you-can-eat Rodizio dining experience with 19+ types of meat available and side dishes.

Across at the Forum Shops within Caesars Palace, aspects of Joe’s will appeal to different people visiting Las Vegas. The dinner menu gives everything you would expect from a surf and turf establishment over 100 years old with multiple locations in the country. They have excellent and luxurious food that makes a special occasion even more special. Dining during the week is great for a date, and then on Saturdays and Sundays, they embrace a whole new demographic with specials on family-style dining and sharing platters of American classics like fried chicken and steak dinners. They say it serves four for dessert, but you may try to keep the key lime pie all to yourself. So good.

Boasting a great patio to unwind and enjoy happy hour on, you’ll end up sticking around when you see the meals brought out of the kitchen – that was my experience. Taking up prime real estate at the JW Marriott in the Spa Tower, Hawthorn Grill specializes in American classics plus the usual steakhouse offerings. If you’re vegetarian or vegan, have no fear. Let your server know of your dietary requirements, and the chef can often accommodate the non-carnivores. Try the spinach and artichoke dip to start, salmon or filet mignon, and you have to try the creme brulee for dessert to finish a great meal in style.

Everyone deserves to feel like a VIP, and that’s what Barry’s Downtown Prime located in Circa Resort, has set out to do. The whole vibe of the restaurant was vintage glamour with a nod to the 1950s and 60s when long liquid lunches were popular amongst the business class in Vegas. Yet Barry’s isn’t stuffy or overly formal. Barry’s has a vegan menu with a diverse set of choices for those who don’t eat meat. If you do, choose from wet or dry-aged steaks from various butchers across the nation they list on the menu, and if you’re feeling wealthy, add shaved truffle tableside. The desserts are proper throwbacks like tableside-fired baked Alaska to end the meal.

One of many locations of this national chain, the Las Vegas site possesses one of the best views of any Vegas steak restaurant. The Capital Grille overlooks the Las Vegas Strip, and if you’re lucky enough to get a reservation at the right time, choose a window seat to get the full effect. Don’t worry about it being stuffy; the ambiance is fun while still being professional. The view and curated wine list of over 350 wines make it one of the best places to celebrate just about any special occasion. Try a glass of a new-to-you wine with their 14 oz New York strip steaks which are aged and hand-cut onsite, or pan-seared sea bass with miso butter.

Set inside the newest property on the Las Vegas Strip, One Steakhouse has taken up residency in Virgin Hotel. While the menu may be classic steakhouse style, there’s a flare to it thanks to executive chef Patrick Munster whose punk stylings were previously found at SW Steakhouse. If you’re leaning towards a burger, take advantage of their One Steak Burger that uses a brisket blend for the patty and hand-cut applewood smoked bacon. For something higher-end, I lean towards their selection of Wagyu beef, including a domestic Snake River New York strip that is worth every penny. Try it with a scotch-based cocktail like The Bootlegger.

Half-off drinks and cheap appetizers make for a great happy hour in Las Vegas, especially right on the Strip. STK Steakhouse sits in Boulevard Tower on the third floor of the Cosmopolitan and across the main drag from Planet Hollywood. This is a vibrant restaurant with an upbeat, energetic ambiance that matches its wide assortment of menu items. Try a cold starter with their raw bar with oysters on the half shell or pick something hot like their Wagyu beef sliders called Lil’ Brgs. Of course, the main event here is the steaks. If you have trouble choosing, you can’t go wrong with one of my favorites, which is the 16 oz dry-aged bone-in strip.

On first look, Envy the Steakhouse is a beautiful American steakhouse but take a seat and look closer. The service in Envy, from the bar to the dining room, makes it so much more than just a steakhouse. Set inside the Renaissance Hotel, the beautifully decorated restaurant has prepared a diverse menu to suit even picky tastes. The offerings include large Porterhouse steaks, delicate crab cakes, and filets that are so tender you may not even need a steak knife to cut them. To top it all off, the line of craft cocktails has modern twists on old favorites like the flagship cucumber and jalapeño martini, which was a bit spicy but very refreshing, unlike traditional drier martinis.

The world-famous and award-winning chef Gordon Ramsay has put his name on a great special occasion steakhouse that attracts tourists because of the name, but they stay and return because of a menu full of British classics. Try dishes like crispy scotch eggs, 32-ounce royal long-bone chops, or the signature beef wellington and finish with heavenly sticky toffee pudding. Adventurous diners can also have the tasting menu with either wine pairings or a signature cocktail such as the HK Antioxidant with acai liqueur, lemon, and blueberries if you’re unsure what to try.

  1. I’m not really sure why Mortons on Paradise wasn’t included on this list. I’ve tried several steakhouses on this list that really don’t match up to Mortons. The steaks are absolutely wonderful but their side dishes are well above the highest level compared to other steakhouses.

    • Uuuum sorry sir, but as we know opinions do vary?? That’s for sure! Old Homestead & Vic & Anthony’s got my wife & I better vote for steak & lobster over Morton’s. It is what it is 🙂
