I’ve spent a lot of time tasting and contemplating the cuisines of Southeast Asia, and I’ve concluded that Thai food is my favorite.
Thai food has big flavors, different textures, and complex tastes. There is a Thai dish that satisfies every craving I can think of. Unfortunately, Thailand is a long way away.
I was recently visiting Indianapolis, and I was craving Thai food. I spent my time there visiting as many Thai restaurants as I could.
I ended up creating this list of the best Thai restaurants in Indianapolis. Each of these restaurants serves up incredible Thai food that will have you craving more.

This small Thai restaurant is one of the best Thai restaurants in Indianapolis. It has a Thursday-night buffet and a traditional a la carte menu.
I started my dinner with an order of wonton soup. The soup was light and had a delicate flavor. I also ordered dumplings that were cooked perfectly and filled with a flavorful pork mixture.
For my main dish, I ordered pad Thai. This dish is always a good litmus test for how good a Thai restaurant is.
The pad Thai at Thai Taste was some of the best I’ve ever had. It was savory with the perfect amount of sweetness.

Jasmine Thai Restaurant is on the corner of River Ridge Drive and East 96th Street, just north of the Clearwater Neighborhood.
This delightful restaurant serves up authentic Thai food for both dine-in and carryout. I started my lunch with an order of curry puffs.
These fried pastries are stuffed with a curry-flavored potato filling. They were crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside.
For my main dish, I ordered green curry with chicken. The curry was creamy and packed with flavor. The chicken was cooked perfectly and went well with the curry sauce.
I highly recommend Jasmine Thai Restaurant to anyone who wants a quick bite of Thai food.

Some of my favorite Thai food is street food. There is something about the cooking style that only happens on streetside stalls.
Phaya Thai Street food serves that same type of food in a restaurant. You can find this restaurant on the corner of North Post Road and Otis Avenue in the Lawrence neighborhood.
It is south of Fort Harrison State Park and the Fort Golf Resort. It is the perfect place to grab a bit to eat after playing 18 holes.
I started with an order of grilled chicken skewers. These skewers were marinated in a Thai-style sauce and grilled to perfection.
The chicken was moist and packed with flavor. For my main dish, I ordered pad see ew. This dish contains rice noodles, chicken, broccoli, and a sweet soy sauce.
The noodles were cooked perfectly, and the entree had the perfect balance of sweetness and savoriness.

This restaurant is on Virginia Ave just south of the intersection with Grove Ave in the North Square Neighborhoods.
Siam Square serves up authentic Thai food from all over Thailand. The restaurant has traditional Thai decorations, and you are transported to Thailand when you walk in.
I started my meal with an order of fried wontons. These wontons were filled with a flavorful pork mixture and fried to a perfect crispy golden brown.
For my main dish, I ordered pineapple fried rice. This dish has white rice, chicken, pineapple, onions, and garlic. The pineapple was perfectly balanced with the savory taste of the chicken.

Thai Orchid Restaurant is on the corner of Bash Street and Clara Street in the Castleton neighborhood. It is just south of Sahm Park and the Sahm golf course.
This humble restaurant prides itself on serving authentic Thai food. I started my meal with an order of spring rolls.
These spring rolls were filled with a flavorful chicken mixture and fried to a perfect crispy golden brown.
For my main dish, I ordered pad Thai. This dish has rice noodles, chicken, shrimp, and tamarind sauce. The entree had the perfect balance of sweetness and savoriness.
I would highly recommend Thai Orchid. It is one of the best Thai Restaurants in Indianapolis.

Thai Papaya is on West 96th Street in the College Park neighborhood. This family-owned restaurant serves delicious Thai food, including curry and stir fry.
I started my meal with an order of curry puffs. These puff pastry appetizers are stuffed with curry-flavored potatoes.
I also ordered a papaya salad. I love papaya salad, and Thai Papaya serves some of the best papaya salad I have ever had. I highly recommend it.

Thai Paradise is on the corner of North Capitol Ave and West Market Street. It is just west of the soldiers and sailors monument in the Wholesale District.
Thai Paradise is the perfect spot to grab a taste of Thailand in downtown Indianapolis. I started my meal with an order of chicken wings.
The wings were marinated in a Thai-style sauce and grilled to perfection. I also had an order of lemongrass soup which was incredible.
I did not know that soup could be that favorable. I highly recommend Thai Paradise to anyone who finds themselves in downtown Indianapolis.

Thai Recipies Restaurant is on East Thompson Road in the Southdale neighborhood. It is close to the University of Indianapolis, and this restaurant serves authentic Thai food with the freshest ingredients.
The restaurant has a beautiful vibe and is a great place to have a family dinner. I started my meal with an order of wonton soup.
This soup was full of flavor and had just the right amount of heat. I also ordered the Choo Chee Catfish.
This seafood dish has a delightful sauce made with coconut milk and kaffir lime leaves. It might be the best catfish I have ever had.

You can find Thai Spice on Country Line Road in the Rosewood neighborhood. It is just across the street from the Cinemark Greenwood Corner, and this restaurant is known for serving spicy traditional Thai cuisine in a humble setting.
I ordered the Thom Yum Soup and the Sun-Dried Beef. The Thom Yum Soup was the perfect level of spicy and had delicious ingredients.
The Sun-Dried Beef was perfectly seasoned, and I highly recommend both dishes.

You can find Thai Town Cuisine near the intersection of South High School Road and Dunn Way in the Sungate neighborhood.
It is south of Krannert Park and north of Indianapolis International Airport. Thai Town Cuisine uses the freshest herbs and spices to create authentic Thai dishes.
The food at Thai Town is not only delicious but healthy as well. I tried their Panang Curry and Masaman Curry.
Both curries were incredibly favorable. I love the large numbers of vegetables in both dishes and the depth of flavor of both curries.

House of Thai is on the corner of Faith Street and South Indiana 135 in the Smith Valley neighborhood. House of Thai is easily one of the best Thai restaurants in Indianapolis.
House of Thai serves up traditional Thai food with a modern twist. The menu contains unique offerings that you probably won’t find at other more traditional Thai restaurants.
I ordered the Golden Tofu and the Shrimp Blanket. Both of these appetizers were delicious and perfectly portioned.
I usually am not a fan of Tofu, but the Golden Tofu had this delightfully sweet and sour sauce, and I wanted to put it on everything.
