And, the best thing about pizzas is that you can put pretty much anything you want on them. Whether you’re a meat-eater, a vegetarian, or a vegan, there is something out there to suit your needs and cravings.

One type of pizza that is favored by many food lovers is supreme pizza. With a name like “supreme,” do these pizzas actually reign supreme and live up to their name? Well, we believe they do!

Supreme pizzas are traditionally topped with pepperoni, sausage, bell peppers, olives, and onions making them a cacophony of different tastes all on one slice.

Supreme pizzas combine some of the most popular pizza toppings out there and give you the chance of enjoying all the ingredients you love without having to buy another pizza.

While the traditional supreme pizza includes the ingredients listed above, is it the same at all pizzerias? Well, we wanted to find out.

Today, we are going to be looking at the range of toppings you can include on a supreme pizza. And, you’ll be pleased to know that you can be pretty experimental when it comes to choosing these toppings.

So, let’s not wait around. Let’s find some toppings so you can enjoy a supreme pizza as soon as possible.

What Toppings are on a Supreme Pizza?

Some pizzerias include other toppings on their supreme pizzas.

Some examples of additions include mushrooms and Canadian bacon (for extra meatiness).

The actual definition of a supreme pizza is not exactly set in stone. We found it can be pretty non-standard.

You just have to travel around the world to find the different range of toppings used on supreme pizzas.

In Australia, for example, supreme pizzas can include pepperoni, rasher bacon, ground beef, Italian sausage, capsicum, mushrooms, oregano, onions, and pineapple.

We’re pretty sure there is something there for everyone, especially meat lovers!

Olives can be hit and miss with many people. Some would say they are an “acquired” taste meaning you will grow to like them after some time.

This may be the reason why olives are not always included while other food items like bell peppers seem to be a permanent part of supreme pizzas.

Then there are the more extreme examples of supreme pizzas. Some include pepperoni, pork sausage, beef, ham, peppers, onions, and mushrooms.

Basically, this is a vegetarian’s worst nightmare but a dream come true for any meatatarian.

This kind of supreme pizza is essentially meat with a few extra toppings for good luck. There are some stripped-down versions of supreme pizzas as well including a variety of frozen ones.

These tend to include pepperoni bell peppers, sausage, and onions.

As you can see, there is usually a common denominator with supreme pizzas. This tends to be a robust combination of meat and vegetable toppings, generally representing two or more kinds of each on top.

So, you may wonder where the name “supreme” comes from. Well, it’s down to the sheer variety and a large number of toppings that can be included with each pizza.

So, it’s worth keeping in mind that when you order a supreme pizza in one pizzeria, it will probably vary in the next restaurant you head to.

Alternatively, you can just pick vegetables if you’re not a meat-eater. Supreme pizzas have no set rules. It’s down to your personal preference.
