McDonald’s Unveils Grandma McFlurry for a Limited Time

McDonald’s has long held a special place in our hearts, often reminding us of cherished moments spent with grandma. Whether it’s a surprise soft serve or a sweet treat before dinner, McDonald’s has been a part of those precious memories. Now, in a heartfelt nod to grandmothers everywhere, McDonald’s is introducing the Grandma McFlurry, set to debut on May 21, 2024, for a limited time.

Crafted to capture the essence of grandma’s sweetness, the Grandma McFlurry is a delightful blend of syrup and crunchy candy pieces, reminiscent of the treats she always kept tucked away. It’s a nostalgic journey down memory lane, designed to be shared with the grandmother or grandmotherly figure in your life.

To coincide with the launch, McDonald’s is collaborating with emerging artists to reimagine beloved songs, honoring the enduring connection between grandparents and their loved ones. Remi Wolf will perform a new rendition of the classic “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You),” while Jay Wheeler will bring his unique touch to the Latin favorite “Piel Canela.”

To kick off the celebration, McDonald’s will unveil Grandma’s McFlurry Mobile, a nostalgic nod to the beloved ice cream truck. The mobile unit will offer a sneak peek of the new McFlurry at various locations in New York City, including senior centers and assisted living homes, fostering connections between generations.

On Friday, May 17, Grandma’s McFlurry Mobile will be stationed at Herald Square from 1 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. EST. Additionally, on Saturday, May 18, the mobile unit will make stops in East Harlem from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. EST, and in Flushing from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. EST.

Furthermore, as part of their commitment to the community, McDonald’s will donate to Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly, a national organization dedicated to combating loneliness among older adults.

In a world where grandmothers play such a significant role in our lives, McDonald’s latest offering serves as a sweet reminder of the love and warmth they bring. So mark your calendars and make sure to treat yourself and your grandmother to this special McFlurry.
