17 Restaurants with Private Dining in Miami

Making memories is one of the most important parts of life. Huge milestones like weddings, graduations, birthdays, and anniversaries usually only come around once in a while, so why not make them memorable? If you ask me, the best way to commemorate momentous occasions in our lives is to gather our closest friends and family for a private dinner party at a beautiful restaurant.

When it comes to high-end restaurants, there are really only a handful of cities that can even remotely compare to Miami, Florida. You can find Michelin Star restaurants run by famous chefs serving unimaginable cuisine literally steps from the shoreline of the Atlantic Ocean. Sounds like an ideal place to host an unforgettable private event to me.

If you’re in Miami and you’ve got a significant moment in your life coming up where you really need to leave a lasting impression, then you’re going to want to keep on reading. I’ve gone ahead and put together a complete ranking of the best private dining rooms in Miami, Florida down below in order to take away some of the major stress that comes with planning your big night.

You’ll find the absolute best private event spaces Miami has to offer with dining rooms of all shapes and sizes that can be arranged to fit your most precise specifications. All you have to do is sit back and relax while they take care of everything.

MILA Restaurant, Rooftop Lounge & Mixology Bar

Taking number one on my list of the best private dining rooms in Miami, Florida is a stunning place called MILA Restaurant, Rooftop Lounge & Mixology Bar located inside the Lincoln Road shopping mall. You’ll find it alongside other Miami attractions like the Museum of Illusions Miami and the Regal South Beach movie theater.

The flagship dining space here at MILA is a 5,000 square foot outdoor terrace called Rooftop Sanctuary. This serene, exotic private event space seats up to 109 and areas like a lounge, rooftop bar, and 2 cabanas in an open-sky setting that affords picturesque views of South Beach.

If you need something a bit cozier and more intimate, then I would opt for the Salon Privé which is completely enclosed with floor-to-ceiling windows on one side and the capability to seat up to 22 guests, perfect for a corporate meeting.

StripSteak by Michael Mina

Fontainebleau, Chateau Lobby, 4441 Florida A1A, Miami Beach, FL 33140

Next up is the restaurant StripSteak by Michael Mina, a widely-known Midbeach favorite that you can find inside the world-famous Fontainbleau 5-star hotel on South Beach, right off of Collins Ave. If this place doesn’t impress everyone on the guest list, then nothing will!

StripSteak has 5 different venues to choose from of varying sizes and capacities. There’s the Upstairs Lounge for up to 50 seated guests, the Upstairs Dining Room for up to 70, the Downstairs Dining Room which is the largest and holds 140, or the Private Dining Room which seats 40.

StripSteak also offers their Outdoor Terrace for those open-air gatherings, perfect for the mild Florida winters.

MATADOR ROOM

MATADOR ROOM is an exceptional embodiment of fiery Latin culture in a classic 1950s-inspired atmosphere. This is one of the best places to host a private event in Miami if you ask me.

Personally, I adore the private room inside called MATADOR BAR. It’s completely ideal for a sophisticated cocktail party or graduation event. It’s sequestered from the rest of the establishment by 2 massive wooden double doors, inside the room is dominated by a gorgeous oval bar made of black walnut and stone.

If you prefer an outdoor, open-air event, I suggest booking MATADOR TERRACE where you’ll be dining underneath cozy string lights, shrouded among foliage and bougainvillea.

KOMODO Restaurant

801 Brickell Ave, Miami, FL 33131
Phone: (305) 534-2211
Visit Website

This next restaurant is called KOMODO and its wildly unique ambiance, coupled with gourmet cuisine makes it one of the greatest restaurants in Miami overall.

The decor is vibrant and striking with an artistic flair that’s also reflected in each and every dish. KOMODO is also quite cavernous with a 325-person capacity for a full restaurant buyout. They also offer several other smaller private event spaces as well, though, if you don’t need that much space.

One of the more compact areas available is the Dragon’s Den room. This dimly-lit, 20-person room is the one I would recommend for any corporate event or business meeting that requires privacy.

Joe’s Stone Crab Restaurant

11 Washington Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139
Phone: (305)673-0365

Up next is Joe’s Stone Crab Restaurant. This is a great option for a much more laid-back private dining event in Miami where you can enjoy fresh seafood in a charming atmosphere with the whole family.

You can choose between 2 private dining rooms here at Joe’s Crab Restaurant, but they also feature a non-private option if you don’t care about privacy. Jesse’s Room is the first private option, seating up to 48 guests. The second option is Gigi’s Room, a slightly smaller space that seats 30.

This next restaurant, Zucca, is actually located in Coral Gables, just about a block outside the city limits of Miami. I couldn’t leave Zucca out because they really are one of the best restaurants with private dining near Miami.

Zucca offers both private and semi-private dining options, so there’s lots of flexibility here. You can opt for The Dining Lounge which is completely private and seats 45 for dinner or 60 for a cocktail party, or you can choose The VIP Room which seats up to 18 across 2 tables in a semi-private setting.

Regardless of the room, Zucca will provide you with every service you need to have the perfect evening.

Ariete is the next restaurant with private dining on my list. I love this place because of the bright, clean atmosphere and delicious food. Look for Ariete off of Main Highway over in Coconut Grove near Peacock Park.

They have 3 different locales where you can host a private event. You can choose The Cave which is a dim, underground dining area akin to a wine cellar almost. There is also The North Court is a covered private terrace perfect for an open-air event in the shade.

The last option is The Garden in the backyard which is mainly used for weddings and cocktail receptions.

There is also a Downstairs Dining Room and the Outdoor Patio that overlooks Collins Ave. There is also the Private Space that can seat 60 and it is perfect for presentations thanks to the DJ capabilities and LED screen.

This place has all the options you could ever need for your anniversary party, family reunion, business meeting, or anything else that’s coming up in your life!

270 Biscayne Blvd Way, Miami, FL 33131

Area 31 is another ultra-popular restaurant in Miami, Florida that I highly recommend for anyone hosting a private event. They’re located inside the Kimpton Epic Hotel on the corner of Biscayne Boulevard and Brickell Ave, right next to the Miami Tower and the James L. Knight Center.

They have an intimate private dining option for 6 here at Area 31 in one of their rooms which comes with its own private balcony. Smith & Wollensky

1 Washington Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139
Phone: (305) 673-2800

Smith & Wollensky is located in South Pointe Park off of Washington Avenue where you can host an elegant private event with a beautiful waterfront view to impress your guests. In my opinion, this is the best place to host an event in Miami if you want to be outside.

A full buyout can seat over 400 people here at Smith & Wollensky, but they have tons of private rooms and patios to choose from. Some of the nicest ones, I think, are the Overlook Deck and the Fisher Island Room.

Many of their spaces can be combined to accommodate a party of any size, and they all offer stunning views of the water and a beautiful atmosphere for your event.

Estiatorio Milos by Costas Spiliadis

730 1st St, Miami Beach, FL 33139
Phone: (305) 604-6800

Next up we have a refined Greek restaurant called Estiatorio Milos by Costas Spiliadis that I would recommend to anyone throwing a wedding rehearsal dinner, reception, hosting a business meeting, or any corporate event.

The private dining room here features a gigantic 67” flat-screen TV that will make every point on your presentation pop. It seats up to 60 people or holds 75 people in a cocktail party scene. Any holiday party or birthday will be unforgettable here, as would any other special occasion.

The enormous floor-to-ceiling windows bathe the room in natural light, making it a wonderful location for a business lunch meeting during the day.

Nobu Miami

4525 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33140

Visit Website

Nobu is a name that’s known all over the globe, so hosting an event here for a group is sure to leave a lasting impression. You can find Nobu Miami off of Collins Avenue inside the Eden Roc Miami Beach hotel next to Indian Beach Park.

Probably my favorite private dining room here at Nobu is the Private Chef’s Teppanyaki Room which is capable of seating 8 or 9 people. Here you’ll be treated to a multi-course meal prepared before your eyes by a master chef.

They also have semi-private rooms here at Nobu, but for privacy, the best option has to be the Patio. It has a private bar and is temperature-controlled so you can seat 100 people very comfortably with the capability of being sealed off from the rest of the establishment.

Los Fuegos by Francis Mallmann

3201 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33140
Phone: (786) 655-5600

Los Fuegos by Francis Mallmann is the last spot on my list, but it is still one of the first places I would look into for hosting a private event in Miami. Look for them inside the Faena Hotel Miami Beach off of Florida State Road A1A, right across from the Faena Forum.

The private venue here at Los Fuegos consists of the Lobby Level which can seat up to 260 guests comfortably in a cavernous 1,980 square feet of beautifully decorated space.

This venue is ideal for any birthday party, anniversary celebration, or even something serious like a corporate event. Los Fuegos really does it all!
