Nothing beats eating out at a restaurant by the water in Daytona Beach, or pretty much anywhere on Florida’s beautiful Atlantic coast for that matter. Enjoying a scenic view of the water while you eat is one of the best parts about coming to Daytona, by far.

Caribbean Jack’s

721 Ballough Rd, Daytona Beach, FL 32114

Taking the number one spot on my list is a place loved by all the locals and tourists alike, Caribbean Jack’s. This place is located right on the Halifax River next to the Daytona Beach Marina on Ballough Road.

What I love about this place is the tropical vibe you get that will make you feel like you’re on vacation in the Bahamas.

They also have a massive outdoor deck that’s great for relaxing with a drink while you watch the boats and yachts go by.

I recommend trying some of the seafood here at Caribbean Jack’s. After all, with a restaurant that close to the water, you can expect the freshest seafood

Riptides Raw Bar and Grill

869 S Atlantic Ave, Ormond Beach, FL 32176

This next place is one of my favorite waterfront restaurants in Daytona Beach when I’m up near the northern part of the beach. Riptides Raw Bar and Grill is located just over the city limits in Ormond Beach, but for a view like this, there’s no drive too far.

Look for Riptides on South Atlantic Avenue next to Andy Romano Beachfront Park and the Ocean East Resort Club.

When you find them, I recommend one of their signature 32-ounce bucket drinks to tie on a nice buzz before you order. For food, definitely try the mahi-mahi sandwich.

Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse

100 N Atlantic Ave, Daytona Beach, FL 32118

Up next is one of the best restaurants in Daytona, Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse, located on North Atlantic Avenue inside the Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort, right across the street from Daytona Lagoon waterpark and next to the Daytona Beach Bandshell.

When you want a delicious steak in a beautiful oceanside setting, look no further than Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse. There’s nothing better than sitting on their back patio and listening to the waves crash as you cut into a buttery, juicy steak.

When it comes to Daytona Beach waterfront restaurants, very few do it like Hyde Park. I recommend The Tony Stewart Steak. It’s a heavily marbled, bone in ribeye that will melt in your mouth.

Ocean Deck

127 S Ocean Ave, Daytona Beach, FL 32118
Phone: 386-253-5224
Visit Website

Up next is Ocean Deck Restaurant & Beach Bar.

This place serves amazing food and drinks literally right on the sandy shores of Daytona Beach. You can’t really eat much closer to the water without getting your feet wet.

They have all the southern classics here as far as food goes. I recommend the whole catfish or the grouper filet, but there are so many more delicious options on their enormous menu that you’re bound to find something you like, no matter what you’re in the mood for.

Check out Ocean Deck on South Ocean Avenue, just south of the Daytona Slingshot and the Daytona Beach Main Street Pier.

Chart House

1100 Marina Point Dr, Daytona Beach, FL 32114
Phone: 386-255-9022
Visit Website

When it comes to the best waterfront restaurants Daytona Beach has to offer, you can’t go without mentioning Chart House.

This place is a fixture of Daytona Beach and no trip to this beautiful beach city is complete without paying them a visit.

Chart House is located on Marina Point Drive, in between Halifax Harbor Marina and Bethune Point Park. There’s even a dock for hungry seafarers to moor up to so they can go inside for a bit to eat without worrying about their vessel.

When you get to Chart House, be sure to try either the spiced ahi tuna or the slow-roasted prime rib.

Crabby’s Oceanside

451 S Atlantic Ave, Daytona Beach, FL 32118
Phone: 386-400-5560
Visit Website

Just south of The World’s Most Famous Beach sign and right before Sun Splash Park on South Atlantic Avenue is a waterfront restaurant called Crabby’s Oceanside, but you’ll be anything but crabby once you try the food.

My favorite part about Crabby’s Oceanside is their “Shell Bar”. They have fresh oysters served in different ways like oysters Rockefeller and Cleveland oysters.

They also offer Prince Edward Island mussels and New England clams, as well. This place is a shellfish lover’s dream.

The outdoor seating area is beautiful here, as well. They have a large, astroturfed patio terrace that overlooks the beautiful sugar sand shores of Daytona Beach.

The Beach Bucket

867 S Atlantic Ave, Ormond Beach, FL 32176
Phone: 386-308-1134
Visit Website

The Beach Bucket is up next and, like Riptides, it’s just a stone’s throw outside the Daytona Beach city limits in Ormond, but don’t let that detract from the fact that this is one of the best waterfront restaurants near Daytona Beach.

I love The Beach Bucket for many reasons, not least of which is the beachfront location inside of a nice hotel.

Mainly, I come here for the food and the view.  I always sit outside on their patio so I can watch the waves.

The best time to come here is around sunset because you get a close-up vantage point like no other.

Sloppy Joe’s Daytona Beach

Ocean Walk Shoppes, 4177, 250 N Atlantic Ave #220, Daytona Beach, FL 32118
Phone: 386-239-0014
Visit Website

Next up is Sloppy Joe’s Daytona Beach and you can find this place off of North Atlantic Avenue inside the Ocean Walk Shoppes, right in between the Club Wyndham Ocean Walk and the Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort.

It’s a perfect place to eat by the water in Daytona if you’re staying in any of the nearby hotels.

What I recommend you do first at Sloppy Joe’s is order one of their specialty drinks so you can take home the cool souvenir cup, and they have different ones to choose from, too!

I always go for the World Famous Sloppy Rita.

Joe’s Crab Shack

1200 Main St, Daytona Beach, FL 32118
Phone: 386-238-4050
Visit Website

We’re going to wrap things up with Joe’s Crab Shack. This place is located on the Daytona Beach Main Street Pier, situated right in the surf.

When you eat here, you are actually eating over the water, technically.

Joe’s is the place to go for crab, obviously, and I love them for that. You can order whole buckets of your favorite crustacean and just go to town.

They offer king crab, queen crab, Dungeness crab, and snow crab, too. All are freshly prepared with your choice of flavor like garlic, Old Bay, spicy, Ragin’ Cajun, and many more tasty choices.
