Some people know of Daytona Beach, Florida as The World’s Most Famous Beach while others may know it as the home of the Daytona 500, hosted at the Daytona International Speedway every year. The first thing that comes to mind when I think of Daytona Beach, however, is food.
Seafood is one of my all-time favorite foods to eat, especially when I’m spending time in this beautiful coastal paradise so close to the Atlantic Ocean. Since the water is right there, it’s never hard to find fresh seafood in this city.

First up is a place called Ocean Deck Restaurant & Beach Bar and it is the perfect location for anyone looking for a few drinks and some seafood right on the beach. You’re literally close enough to stick your toes in the sand while you enjoy a cocktail.
I highly recommend trying the grouper filet or the flounder filet for a real Florida treat. I always get a side of hush puppies, as well.
Check out Ocean Deck right off of South Ocean Avenue, next to the Comfort Inn & Suites Daytona Beach Oceanfront and just south of the Daytona Beach Slingshot.

Another one of the most amazing places to eat seafood in Daytona Beach, Florida is a place called Bay St. Seafood and I think you’ll love them just as much as I do when you go there.
They serve nothing but the freshest seafood available and you can really taste the freshness in every bite. It’s even possible that your fish was caught that same day!
I recommend starting with an order of the house-made clam chowder or the gator bites. After that, you should definitely try a blackened mahi-mahi sandwich or their famous fish reuben sandwich.
Fresh Box Seafood

This next great Daytona seafood place is called Fresh Box Seafood, and boy do they know what they’re doing when it comes to the delicious bounty of the sea.
This is the number one destination for family-style steam platters. I can’t think of a better way to spend time with family or friends than by heading down to Fresh Box and ordering a massive tray full of crab, shrimp, corn, and red potatoes.
Look for Fresh Box Seafood off of North Nova Road near the Home Acres neighborhood, just north of the Holly Hill Plaza shopping center.
The Oyster Pub

When it comes to oysters, I can’t think of a single better establishment to visit than The Oyster Pub. As their name implies, they know a thing or two about tasty oysters, fresh from the sea.
The Oyster Pub is an old-fashioned pub with TVs on all the walls, plenty of drinks, and fresh seafood that will knock your socks off⸺not that you should be wearing any this close to the beach!
I recommend trying the oysters Rockefeller and the stuff oysters to start with, but I’m sure that once you taste those, there will be many more on the way.
Caribbean Jack’s
721 Ballough Rd, Daytona Beach, FL 32114

Up next is Caribbean Jacks and anyone who wants to eat a delicious seafood dinner with a view of the water needs to pay them a visit. Caribbean Jack’s is right off of Ballough Road, jutting out into the Halifax River next to Daytona Beach Marina. There’s even a restaurant dock for any seafaring patrons.
I always grab a starter of fried calamari when I come here, it’s just so light and tasty. I also recommend trying their Crabby Patty crab cake sandwich. This is an amazing place to get seafood in Daytona and you can watch the boats pass by while you eat!
Crab Stop II
933 W International Speedway Blvd, Daytona Beach, FL 32114

This next one is for all the crab lovers out there who can’t get enough of those sweet crustaceans. They specialize in everything shellfish-related here at Crab Stop II, but my favorite are their Maryland style blue crabs that come steamed with all sorts of other goodies.
It doesn’t stop at crab, though. You can also get some absolutely incredible crawfish, shrimp, conch fritters, and so much more, including land based meals as well.
Look for Crab Stop II on West International Speedway Boulevard in the Daytona Gardens neighborhood, right around the corner from Tuscawilla Park and Daytona Beach Zipline Adventure By TreeTop Trekking.
Chart House

Chart House is the next stop on this seafood tour of Daytona Beach. This place is also one of the nicest waterfront restaurants I found in the city, they have both indoor and outdoor seating on a massive outdoor patio right on the river.
I always recommend the macadamia nut crusted mahi-mahi for anyone going out to eat at Chart House. They have other great menu options, though, like cuts of swordfish, salmon, ahi tuna, and more.
Check out Chart House on Marina Point Drive near the South Beach Historic District and the Halifax Harbor Marina.
Millie’s Restaurant & Catering

The penultimate stop on my list of best seafood Daytona Beach has for you is Millie’s Restaurant & Catering. This one may be a bit of a drive for some, but it’s well worth it for the high-quality seafood you’ll find here.
I always love coming here for a local fish sandwich. You can’t really get fresher fish than this because it’s whatever the catch of the day is. You can really taste the difference in the quality when you eat at places like Millie’s that get everything fresh daily. Don’t worry, they have plenty of other non-seafood menu options for all you landlubbers out there.
Sessions Restaurant
918 N Atlantic Ave, Daytona Beach, FL 32118
Phone: 386-947-7387

Sessions is the last place on my list, but it shouldn’t be the last place you go for tasty Daytona Beach seafood.
Sessions Restaurant is absolutely ideal for anyone visiting Daytona from out of town because it’s located inside the famous Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach off of Highway A1A, right next to the Holiday Inn & Suites Daytona Beach on the Ocean.
When you get here, I recommend going straight for the seafood fra diavolo with a choice of 2 different pastas. I also suggest trying the grilled snapper with coconut curry rice for something a little more tropical.
Final Thoughts
Daytona Beach is home to some unbelievably delightful seafood restaurants, as you can see. Good seafood in a city this close to the ocean is a no-brainer, but even still Daytona Beach takes it to another level. I hope you find these restaurants as appealing as I did when I went there.
