You can spend your time at West Lake Park and the Anne Kolb Nature Center enjoying the great outdoors, you can head to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino or the Seminole Classic Casino Hollywood and do some gambling, or you can head to T.Y. (Topeekeegee Yugnee) Park for some family fun.
Those all all great Hollywood attractions, but what really makes this city shine, in my opinion, is the restaurant scene.
This city has everything you could ever want to eat, including Cuban restaurants, fine dining establishments, fresh seafood, and so much more.

I want to kick things off with J28 Sandwich Bar. This restaurant is located off of North Young Circle, directly across the street from Young Circle Park. It’s the perfect place to grab food after a day of enjoying the fresh air at the park.
J28 is actually a Peruvian restaurant that specializes in Peruvian sandwiches and rice bowls. I love coming here whenever I can because everything made to order, so you know it’s fresh.
My favorite part about J28 Sandwich Bar is that all of their bread is baked fresh every day. You can really tell the difference too.

The next restaurant on my list is called GG’s Waterfront and it’s located over by Hollywood beach. This restaurant is surrounded by beautiful hotels and great places to stay, overlooking North Lake.
This is definitely the place to visit for a lovely meal with a waterfront view, and what better to order at a waterfront restaurant? Seafood, of course!
I always make sure to come here during stone crab season so I can get some of those bad boys. GG’s Waterfront has so much fresh fish and shellfish on their menu that it’s almost hard to choose.

Next up is Kuro. This is a Japanese restaurant in Hollywood, Florida that you do not want to miss out on. They have so many delicious, authentic Japanese foods here that it will blow your mind.
I highly recommend starting with some sake while you peruse the menu, but the best option, by far, is the omakase dinner where the chef will choose for you.
Check out Kuro inside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Even if you’re not staying at the hotel, it’s absolutely worth coming by for dinner. I always come here before doing some gambling.

The next Peruvian restaurant I want to mention is called Runas Peruvian Cuisine and it’s located off of North 21st Avenue, just north of Boxroom Escape Games.
This restaurant is all-around phenomenal and you’d be really missing out if you visited Hollywood and left without eating here at least once.
My favorite thing to order from Runas Peruvian Cuisine is ceviche. Which ceviche I choose simply depends on what mood I’m in because they have so many great options, I couldn’t pick just one every time. I’d say my favorite would have to be the ceviche clasico.

Up next, I want to introduce you to Taco Beach Shack. If you’ve already been to this amazing establishment before, then you’ll understand why I had to include it on my list of Hollywood restaurants to visit.
Taco Beach Shack is a taco restaurant that will make your taco dreams come true and satiate any cravings you might have for this Mexican delicacy.
They have all sorts of tacos and other classic Mexican foods, so no matter what you’re in the mood for, you can find it here.
Whatever you order, I highly recommend a margarita to go with it.
The Tipsy Boar

Right near The Harrison Hotel Downtown Hollywood on Harrison Street is a place called The Tipsy Boar. I love this gastropub so much and it’s one of my go-to spots for a fun night out in Hollywood.
The Tipsy Boar seems like it is primarily a bar, but the food menu is actually quite extensive, and everything on it is simply delicious.
I highly recommend the artichoke and spinach dip to get you started, but then you should definitely try one of the burgers here at The Tipsy Boar. Either that, or go right for the lobster mac and cheese.
Pachamanka Authentic Peruvian Cuisine

Next up is another Peruvian gem called Pachamanka Authentic Peruvian Cuisine. If you’re coming to Hollywood for a visit, or even if you live here full-time, you simply must try this place the next time you go out to eat in the city.
This restaurant is conveniently loathed on Hollywood Beach, right next to the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort. It’s even better than some of the restaurants inside the resort if you ask me.
I highly recommend trying the crispy fried fish. It’s a classic Peruvian dish that never disappoints. Look for it on the menu as “chicharron de pescado”.
Diplomat Prime

Another amazing place to eat that’s nestled amongst the long line of luxurious hotels on Hollywood Beach is Diplomat Prime.
This is a refined and upscale restaurant located inside the The Diplomat Beach Resort Hollywood, Curio Collection by Hilton so you can eat right there next to the water.
You don’t have to be staying nearby to enjoy the bounty of delicacies that they serve here at Diplomat Prime.
Steak and seafood is the name of the game here, but the entire menu is honest incredible. Anything that you order here is going to be of the utmost quality and prepared with the freshest ingredients.
Billy’s Stone Crab Hollywood

Next up is Billy’s Stone Crab Hollywood. This seafood restaurant is unparalleled when it comes to fresh crab, but all the fish and shellfish here are as fresh as possible.
I love to come here during stone crab season, of course, but any evening spent at Billy’s Stone Crab is going to be a pleasant one. They really never disappoint when it comes to food or service.
What I recommend from this place is obviously seafood. I always start with oysters and then go for the catch of the day and have it blackened.
Las Vegas Cuban Cuisine

The next place I want to point your attention towards is the Las Vegas Cuban Cuisine restaurant.
The best part about this restaurant is that they have several convenient locations around Hollywood, so you’re never too far from a delicious meal.
Being a Cuban restaurant, I always have a hard time resisting the classic Cuban sandwich, but sometimes I do go for something different.
Another one of my favorite things to order from Las Vegas Cuban Cuisine is the shrimp creole or the pepper steak.
Definitely check this restaurant out the next time you want to have an amazing lunch or dinner.

Last, but not least, is JWB Prime Steak and Seafood. I thought I would end things on a high note, and it doesn’t get much better than this.
JWB Prime Steak and Seafood is located over off of North Ocean Drive inside the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort, so you don’t even have to leave the hotel for a phenomenal steak dinner.
What I recommend when you come to JWB is steak, hands down. I say you should go all-out and get the Prime tomahawk ribeye. It’s a great place to really indulge and treat yourself.
Final Thoughts
Hollywood, Florida is fantastic city for pretty much everything. The shopping malls, casinos, and luxury hotels are almost overshadowed by the natural amenities like parks and beaches.
