Just north of Miami and Hollywood is a small Florida town called Davie that many people might not know about. Davie is a city that’s full of life, sandwiched between the Everglades and Francis S. Phone: 954-530-6431
Right inside the Tower Shops off of South University Drive is a place called Ceviche 595 which is one of top places to eat in Davie, Florida. It’s one of the few places around the city where you can get some traditional Peruvian cuisine, including my favorite: ceviche.
They have 8 different ceviche variations here at Ceviche 595, so take your time and read through them to pick your favorite one. My go-to order is usually the Lomo Marino from the Peruvian Specialties section of the menu. It’s made with filet mignon and shrimp, stir-fried with rice, onions, and tomatoes, served with french fries.
Laspada’s Original Hoagies

Taking the number one spot on my list is a place called Laspada’s Original Hoagies located off of University Drive in the Shops of Arrowhead shopping center, right across the street from the Royal Grand Condominiums.
I love Laspada’s because they make some really hefty hoagies. When I need a lunch that will satisfy me during a long day of work or even having fun, I go down to Laspada’s.
My absolute favorite thing to order from here is a 12” Italian sub, but I also really enjoy the roast beef, but they offer salads as well in case you’re not feeling a sandwich.
The Field Irish Pub & Eatery

Next up is a rustic roadside tavern called The Field Irish Pub & Eatery. This is easily one of my favorite places to go in Davie for a pint and some good, old-fashioned Irish pot roast.
They have a long list of delicious food to choose from here at The Field, including American classics as well like burgers and plenty of different salads for a more health-conscious option. Don’t forget dessert, though! I highly recommend an order of their famous bread pudding to finish up your meal.
Check out The Field off of Griffin Road, just west of the airport, across the street from the Publix Super Market at Oakbridge.
Juana La Cubana Cafe

When you’re in the mood for some authentic Cuban cuisine, Juana La Cubana Cafe is where you want to be headed. When it comes to Cuban food, this is easily one of my favorite restaurants near Davie to visit for both lunch and dinner. You can even treat yourself to breakfast here on Saturdays.
Cuban sandwiches are a must try food item when you come to Florida. It’s always my go-to order when I come to Juana La Cubana Cafe, but there is so much more you can try, too. They have traditional Cuban appetizers like croquetas, yuca frita, tostones, and so much more.
Kristof’s Kafe

Next up is Kristof’s Kafe, conveniently located right inside the Pine Island shopping center next to Ridge Plaza shopping mall where you’ll find other great Davie attractions like Paragon Theaters.
This is the ultimate breakfast destination in Davie, if you ask me. Kristof’s has every single breakfast food you could ever think of, made fresh to order in a welcoming, relaxing atmosphere.
It’s hard to choose between the waffles and the pancakes here at Kristof’s, but I highly recommend one of the two, or both!
The weekends are even better when you come to Kristof’s for their weekend specials like a churro waffle or their delectable spinach, bacon, and white cheddar “Kroissant”.
Vienna Wine Bar

This next place is one of the most relaxing and inviting restaurants in Davie, Vienna Wine Bar. When you want a nice night out filled with drinks and your favorite European fare, this is the only place to go.
What you’ll find here at Vienna Wine Bar is a charming European-themed bar and restaurant that will welcome you and make you want to stay all night, or at least until 9:00 PM when they close.
It’s all about the schnitzel here, and boy is it amazing. There are 4 different variations of schnitzel to choose from, but there are also steak options, fish and seafood, and even a vegetarian portion of the menu!
Ally’s Comfort Cafe

Ally’s Comfort Cafe is up next and wow do they live up to their name. Ally’s is family-owned and operated, specializing in homestyle breakfast and lunch that everyone will love. Davie restaurants like Ally’s are part of what makes this little city so charming.
They serve all-day breakfast here at Ally’s which is part of why I love coming here so often, but what really does it for me is the quality of the food. You can really tell that their homemade buttermilk pancakes are actually made from scratch.
It’s that impossible-to-replicate quality that I think is only found in locally-owned establishments where care is put into every meal and aspect of service.
Mustard Seed Bistro
256 S University Dr, Plantation, FL 33324
Phone: 954-533-9326

Mustard Seed Bistro is a unique New American restaurant off of South University Drive, right across the street from the massive Broward Mall where you’ll find Macy’s and Regal Cinemas. Mustard Seed is one of my top restaurants near Davie that I visit after a day of shopping.
They offer both lunch dinner menus here at Mustard Seed Bistro, but I much prefer the dinner menu, personally. I recommend the spicy shrimp ceviche salad to start with, and then I would dive into either the crispy duck or the short rib bourguignon. Either dish will leave you in a state of bliss.
My Big Fat Greek Restaurant

Less than two miles around the corner from the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, FL off of Griffin Road is My Big Fat Greek Restaurant, cleverly named after the hit movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding.
No one knows how to celebrate like the Greeks, and My Big Fat Greek Restaurant completely embodies that philosophy. In addition to fantastic food and drinks, they have live music and belly dancing on the weekends, so definitely come here when you want to party.
I come here for their gorgeous outdoor waterfront patio that gets lit up beautifully at night. I also recommend trying their gyro platter because it really blew my mind.
Padrino’s Cuban Cuisine

Padrino’s Cuban Cuisine is another family-run establishment that I really think you’re going to love, especially if you enjoy authentic Cuban food and supporting local businesses.
What makes this one of my favorite restaurants in Davie, Fl is that they have such a massive selection of delicious food which is all very budget friendly and the portions are enormous. It’s a great place to go if you’re looking for an awesome bang for your buck.
I recommend the ropa vieja entree the most, but some close seconds are the arroz con pollo and the paella. No matter what you pic, they rarely disappoint here at Padrino’s.
Zabb Thai & Sushi
8880 W State Rd 84, Davie, FL 33324
Phone: 954-451-3949

Thai cuisine is some of the best food ever, in my opinion, so when I’m in the mood for some delicious thai curry or pad see ew, I head directly over to Zabb Thai & Sushi. As their name implies, they also have a delightful sushi selection if you’re in the mood for it.
Curry is always my first choice in pretty much any restaurant that offers it, and the curry here at Zabb is unbeatable. They have red curry, green curry, panang curry, and massaman curry to choose from, so it always takes a lot of deliberation on my end.

It’s not just a weekend spot, though. Tijuana Taxi Co has a terrific lunch menu that they serve during the week filled with all sorts of deals on food and drinks. They’ve got all the classics like tacos, quesadillas, margaritas, micheladas, and everything else you can imagine.
Check out Tijuana Taxi Co off of South University Drive, just north of the Davie Shopping Center and right across the street from the Walmart Supercenter.
Twin Peaks Restaurant

Twin Peaks Restaurant is a widely-known chain that everyone knows and loves. It’s the ultimate destination for watching the big game alongside a healthy serving of beer and wings. There are no frills about this place, only good times.
I always go for the wings here at Twin Peaks because what else do you eat during a football game? They have 8 different flavors of wing sauce you can have yours coated in, as well as 2 delicious dry rubs for those who don’t want the mess.
Check out Twin Peaks inside the Tower Shops off of South University Drive, right in between the Chick-fil-a and Miller’s Ale House.
Flashback Diner

Next up is an awesome 24-hour diner called Flashback Diner and they take pride in bringing back that old-fashioned diner feel with a comfy atmosphere and homestyle cooking alongside lots of freshly baked goods like pies and cakes.
The menu is enormous here at Flashback Diner, so the next time you feel hungry but don’t know exactly what you’re in the mood for, just come here and browse the menu for a few minutes. You’ll be guaranteed to find something you like eventually.
My favorite things to order from Flashback are their sandwiches. They have an incredible reuben sandwich as well as a mind-blowingly delicious pastrami sandwich.
Cinque Terre Italian Restaurant

If you need a taste of Italy while you’re in Davie, Fl, then this is the place to go. I really love Cinque Terre Italian Restaurant because they have a large airy atmosphere, perfect for large parties and events, but they also have splendid Italian food.
They serve pasta, salads, cocktails, wine, and so much more here at Cinque Terre, but my absolute highest recommended dishes come from their Chef’s Specialties section of the menu. I always go for an order of their wild pacific salmon, but the chicken marsala is also to die for.
Chez David & Sons
6856 Stirling Rd, Davie, FL 33024
Phone: 954-544-2348
Right across the street from the Publix Super Market at Paradise Promenade off of Stirling Road is another one of Davie’s best restaurants, Chez David & Sons. This amazing Caribbean restaurant is second-to-none when it comes to delectable Caribbean cuisine.
Two of my top recommendations here are the spicy creole chicken alfredo and the oxtail. Both of these dishes blew my mind when I tried them, and now I keep coming back for more. There are tons of other things to try on their menu, though, so don’t go straight for those without reading it over thoroughly or you might miss something tasty!
Francisca Charcoal Chicken & Meats

Last up is Francisca Charcoal Chicken & Meats, a Venezuelan restaurant that I hope you’ll love as much as I do. They are located inside the Tower Shops off of South University Drive where you’ll find other great places to shop like Best Buy and Ross Dress for Less. It’s a perfect place to eat when you need a break from your shopping spree.
I love the fact that you can order a whole chicken from Francisca Charcoal Chicken & Meats. I’ve tried it before and it is divine, so I highly recommend it, especially if you’re extra hungry. Of course, they can cut it into ⅓ and ¼ pieces if you don’t think you can eat a whole one.
